I walk while I read. All the time. In fact, if I'm standing and reading I begin to pace. And I can move through crowds while reading. I also eat while reading and I converse while reading. But, if something takes my full attention, I don't read. This means video games or anything involving both hands- but if I can just set it down and turn the pages I read. But I tend to be wary of reading while doing dirty jobs or things near water.

I, sadly, am unable to multitask whilst reading. I think it's because I get too involved in the story that everything else just falls away.

So lately, i have been reading the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer, and i kinda got into a bad habbit...
One day on the bus, it was so noisy i couldn't read, so i got out my disk man (yes, i am old school apparently) and i decided to listen to my music.
The disk just happened to be a burned disk of HIM, and it came to the song Vampire Heart (there are a few others too that seem to be reoccurring).
Now, whenever i pick up my Twilight series, i put on Vampire Heart by HIM when i read.
so when i read...i have to listen to music...or...the song

Normally I get too distracted to multitask.
I try to read during commercial breaks when I'm watching television, but then some really cool infomercial comes on and absorbs all of my attention. sweatdrop

Red Kasei I, sadly, am unable to multitask whilst reading. I think it's because I get too involved in the story that everything else just falls away. Agreed. Though I am capable, very capable, of multi-tasking, I just can't while reading. Same reasoning.

I'm unable to multitask while doing anything. I have to have my undivided attention on one thing or I won't be able to concentrate at all.

I like to read while walking, cooking, eating, not watching TV, and of course, listening to music. Sometimes my i listen to one or two albums while reading a particular book or series, and afterward that music always reminds me of those books.

Watching TV and reading is a big one for me. Eating while reading makes me nervous (stains on my books just freaks me out), but I do it anyways. My most impressive feat to date was reading and dancing at the same time. I was having kind of a manic day and couldn't sit still long enough to read a book. It happens.
