Mmm, not like that exactly. I mean, when you put it on, try not to get water on it for that day, you should put lemon juice and sugar on it though, and maybe hold your hand over some heat for about 10 mins before you take it off if you want it real dark. And take it off with a knife, not water. When you wash your hands for the first time, the colour will run, but thats just the surface colour. dont worry about it. It stays on for up to a week.

lemon juice and...sugar? Why the combination? whee I can understand the heat, would it be best to just let the henna dry naturally by itself then?

Yeah. You're meant to just let it dry to let the colour soak in. I think the lemon and sugar could have something to do with diffusion and stuff, how because your skin doesn't have either of those in it already (at high levels, anyway), when they get absorbed in, so does the colour?
I dont usually bother though. It doesnt seem to make too much of a difference unless you buy the natural powder. But that's such a hassle, filtering it out, and then having to mix it yourself.
Lol, they also say that if it comes out real dark, your mother-in-law loves you.

XD lol, yeah. We always laugh at that, because it always comes out darker on male skin for some reason. We say that the mother in law loves them because they get to take the daughter away rofl

Awww, that's terrible! I think that maybe why it comes out darker for males is because of the oil set they have versus the females. 3nodding
