In one used book store on a special sale day I bought 16 paperback, 11 hardback, and 5 comics (manga). All for under $40.

I got 36 books the other day for $5 from a paper recycling thing. I didn't want them to kill the books so I just paid them off and ran away D:<

Nucleotide I got 36 books the other day for $5 from a paper recycling thing. I didn't want them to kill the books so I just paid them off and ran away D:<

I usually buy them a bit at the time, I'm not always with money, so I just ask my parents and/or family to get the books I want for me^^

The library was having a sale of the slightly used books. I bought a bagful for $3. I'm surprised how many I could fit in my bag. Approximately 30

I got over 40 free books one day, and 90% percent of them were Stephen King books. I got them from my uncle. I love him so much now, not that I disliked him before.

I went to a used book asote and bought about 17 books, totaling at around $55.

I set a new record over the weekend. 3nodding I love garage sales! Twenty-five cents for one book! heart Then I went to the thrift store and picked up some more - about 50-75 cents each. I think that hardcover cost me a dollar... twisted
# of books: 112!
Total cost: $42
Average Price: $0.38 each
I'm reading my Darwin Awards books first, then moving from fantasy to sci-fi to whatever's left at that point. The rest is mostly Horror, but there are a couple drama/romance/etc.
Next weekend, my uncle's friend is giving me (giving me) boxes and boxes of books! I'm so happy 4laugh

A couple of months ago I beat my previous record of 30-40. I'm at about I want to say somewhere around 70 or possibly more. A friend of mine took me to the library book sale and handed me $25 as an early Christmas present, on top of the $25 I had gotten from my parents for the occasion (in my family, book sales are major things, ranking right up there with my parent's wedding aniversary) and the $25 I had set aside for it anyway. Some of the books I got were $0.50, some a dollar and a few were $2 or $3. The friend who took me said that he was glad he borrowed his dad's truck and that I had brought the plastic crates my family used to transport books when we moved.

I paid my uncle $25 once for a box full of paperbacks--I estimate over 80 books. I didn't count them at the time, but it was mostly Star Trek books I hadn't read yet (literary popcorn!), mixed some Star Wars titles.

Well, because I am a poor Middle School student, the most I have ever gotten in any given day was 7, but that was because I had money to spend, (I got money for Christmas that year.) Normally I only get 1-2 per trip to the bookstore. Sometimes I don't even get any, if I don't find any worth buying.
(*Pokes* I beth jealous. I am, aside from my sister, the only big reader, so I have no nice relatives to give me heaps of books for cheap. Plus, I am too young to drive around to garage sales, and my local library never has book sales. >.>

I spent $85 once at a used bookstore smile I don't remember how many books I got thought lol. I'll probably do another used bookstore run this Thursday so I'll update then biggrin
