"Yessir." Auren said with the clipped tones of command. "Though I suggest I should find one of the old Wyverns, since they would be better suited for command."
Auren saluted. spun on his heel and sheathed the bleeding sword, while Arkayid bowed from the gateway. Auren and Arkayid both watched the child with guarded eyes. Both of them were secretly worried. As Auren approached the duo at the gateway, Auren slipped a thought into Yamishiro and Cross.
Be careful. I don't like the look of him, and thirty four years of campaigning has honed my dangersense to a keen edge. He seems untrustworthy as hell.

Yamishiro nodded his head in acknowledgment before turning and walking toward the entrance where Cross and Kazuko now stood. "Shall we be on our way?" He questioned Cross as he stepped past him and through the doorway. Being the second seats of Laos, Cross and himself had worked together before so why bother with formalities?
The tall corridors stretched in all directions and the limited light certainly didn't help matters when one was trying to find his way. Yamishiro took several turns with confidence as he focused energy into his hands; they started to glow a dull blue. He quickly stepped through a doorway at the end of one of the corridors and crossed into a courtyard of sorts. Black smog swirled about and the smell of sulfur filled the air. Thicks clouds wafted throughout the sky and it seemed like the sun's rays may never reach the dry and cracked earth that now surrounded the palace: a demon's paradise.
A portal filled with bluish-white light appeared before them as Yamishiro slowly brought his hands out in front of him. He placed one of his palms against the blue haze as if it were a solid wall and turned his hand 90 degrees counterclockwise; much like a key and lock. He stepped back and the haze within the portal swirled frantically until it opened on a bright hallway in the castle of Houka. "It's been a while, I hope you haven't lost your touch." He said turning to Cross and allowing him to enter the portal first. He smirked lightly, the promise of conquest was enough to make even the most stoic of demons lust for blood.

T'was an interesting (using that word lightly) task to say the least. Sure causing mayhem in towns would've been more preferable; but kidnapping a lord and empress, then annihilating a group of mages and a...Shavas Yamagata. Sure it seemed well enough that Laos still thought highly of his abilities, but wouldn't giving a task of such magnitude an overestimation (or was he underestimating himself).
Regardless it was most likely a no-arguement issue, so he nodded in recognition of the orders given. 'Sides he'd be working with Yami so it wouldn't be as if he had to do everything (especially since he didn't exactly understand whom the targets were). As such the situation, would've warmed up to him had it not been for that bound spirit projecting thoughts of treachery. He believed its to name to be Auren from what he overheard...definitely not one to be trusted.
Alas, now wasn't the time to worry about such trivialities; he'd just have to address the issue upon his return. So silently, he walked behind Yami untill the portal had fully been opened and chuckled at his remark. "You never change Yami, I wouldn't be in my position if I let a simple vacation tarnish my abilities. (the chuckle turned to a laugh) Let's give the humans something real to panic about", without much more thought he stepped through the portal noticing the awkward change in contrast.

Yamishiro stepped through the portal after Cross, glad to see that he was as ready as ever. As they appeared in the hallway, Yamishiro turned and placed his hand back on the portal; the view of the castle turned back to the bluish haze. The portal vanished as Yamishiro turned his hand 90 degrees clockwise and locked, never to be opened again unless Yamishiro called upon it.
His attention turned to face an empty hallway. "I suppose we'll have to find them." What is a hunt without the predetermination of the stalk?
((I guess we post in the Houkan empire now..?))

|| Aplogies for not posting for so long.. ||
So many others entered the citadel while she stood in deathly silence. Her gaze reguarded all of them, passing from one face to another, trying to match their names to their faces. But this... Zaroe character. He was quite the strange one indeed. Elysia wasn't quite sure if she liked him in particular.
Beneath the mask that hid half her face, her eyes narrowed on the man before she gave a light huff and pulled her gaze from him. Lunatic, yes... That was what she labeled him from the start. It was quite obvious too.. with the way he spoke to no one in particular. That made things even more frustrating for the woman. She sure as hell did not like him, she decided right then. But ah... as fate would have it, she had to actually work with him...
Lifting her head, she glanced up toward her lord, a small frown playing on her lips. Oh she most definitely would not like the task. Sure, it wasn't hard.. but there was no doubt in Elysia's mind that Zaroe most likely would have a little too much fun with it. Hmph.
"Very well..." She muttered with a soft growl, stepping forward slightly toward Kazuko and Zaroe.

Up int he sky the thin red line ended, and from it shouted the message for even the dead to hear, behind it the full weight of the power vermillion shielded from Loas embedded with such evil hatred such hatred.
"Loas Hear my words, hear them well, your servants have insulted a power beyond their understanding, and alliance of that power to your banner weakens before me at your insult. You could not wait for me to approach you with a present of the mortal heiracry of this land. I give you 20 minutes for you to recall your servants before I deny you any prize but empty handed servants. They carry the details upon two tablets, you've a total of 30 minutes before they are lost forever and my patience runs out. I'll bring the mortals once you've agreeded to the details in the message, if not I destory them all where they stand."
The line disappeared the echoing words fading.

Auren heard the message and turned to Arkayid. "I can't do much in the way of preperations at this point. I trust you and Sibel can handle everything from here?"
"Yes father." Arkayid said. The boy had grown into a book worm, and he nodded to Auren as he stood up and left the library. He took the original Mishizuri and picked it up. "Do you mind if I take this?" Auren asked politely.
Arkayid grunted. "If yeh want." Auren nodded, and took the sword.
He hooked it into the armor. It was the original armor he died in, after all, and it still had its sheath.
He took a deep breath, and with the knowledge forced into his mind with his new body, he traced the spell back to its origin.

The figure allowed himself another smile of high excitement. So that was Elysia. And Kozuko?
So calmly, with with his "natural high", Zaroe thrusted his hand forward as though using his fingers to stab through nothing. To those looking around, of course, he was stabbing into mid air. That face of insanity leaned forward and spoke almost in a mock whisper.
"Well well, ma poupee, it seems that the elaborate destruction here was a mere illusion. But that just makes things more interesting."
Turning he spoke to the others.
"Shall we depart mon ami?"

She arched a brow at him, only too happy to have this mask concealing her eyes; otherwise he would've surely seen the spiteful glare in them. With a deep breath, she glanced toward Kazuko's way before giving a small nod.
"Let us depart then... I want to get this over with.." The last part was no more than a mutter beneath her breath, not meant for any but herself to hear. She stalked to the door, the exit out of this room, walking with a certain grace. It was amazing how graceful she was given the armor than covered most of her body. It certainly did look heavy, and with everything sticking out everywhere, almost looking like spikes, it was even more amazing that she could even fit through a damn door.
She hardly waited for the others, knowing they'd catch up. Her eyes were set dead ahead of her, looking at nothing else but where she would be going, her destination.

Auren, Arkayid and Sibel stood in front of the portal to the afterworld.
"All preperations are complete." Arkayid said. Sibel nodded to his statement.
"Right. Let's get this started." Auren said with a resigned sigh.
They both started chanting the same spell, while Auren broke off and started naming names, and pulling the dead out of the portal. The Wyverns were being resurrected.
A few hours later, the reassembled Wyverns stood in ranks next to their mounts in a clearing near the Citadel. Sibel was not present, but Arkayid was.
"Alright, as you have no doubt realized by now, you're alive, just with daemonic bodies. Yeah yeah, I was subjected to the same treatment. But here's the key. Unlike me, you are not tied to Laos. That, Arkayid and I are working on."
The Wyverns nodded to this. "So, what's the plan, sir?" One of them asked.
"The plan is, we behave ourselves until the good guys attack. Then we pull a little backstabby, and we go for the win."

Zaroe followed close behind. Glares, stare, ah, how they soothed his heart. There are more ways to perceive the world than with just the eye. In fact, there was a skill in the undefeated style "Onizan" that was dedicated to this exact purpose. But regardless, it would be time to depart. Zaroe would follow his partners in crime. No sound released from his mouth. Instead, there was a smirk and a cruel smile that was mixed with excited eyes. And mind you, not innocent excitement.

(I'm soo bad grr) Her slow, purposeful footsteps echoed through the empty stone corridors. Her heart was beating in her throat with the strength of her uncontrollable bloodlust. In fact, alot of things about her were now uncontrollable. She itched the bridge of her nose as she peered into her father's throne room, which seemed packed in comparison with the rest of this dreary hunk of rock they called a citadel. Jadira's thoughts were whirling uncontrollably. Even though she now viewed Laos with an odd sort of compassion, he was her father after all, there remained a lasting impression of a hate so deeply rooted that she felt almost empty without its in presense in her gut. She couldn't remmember how she got out of the throne room in the first place. Everything she could remmember was sheilded by a hazy veil of bloodred. Probably the odd transformation that had left most of her joints aching. Her wings were folded neatly across her back, they still throbbed from the painful episode she'd had upon waking in the luxurious chamber she had been left in. The ragged gashes bled sluggishly, but she was otherwise unharmed. The clothes left in her bedchamber did little to hide her lithe form, some part of her was deeply disturbed by the revealing garments, more like undergarments as far as she was concerned. The armored boots reached all the way up to mid-thigh, and fit like a glove. with matching arm guards. The twinkling amulet was a continuous comforting presence, its cool weight draped around her neck at all times. She had tried to remove it only once, out of curiosity, the result was disasterous. It was why she was bleeding now, the thin chain was apparantly seamless. And it had a temper.

Yamishiro sighed and unlocked the portal. They had lost Vermillion and the others, Toleranth had returned, and some psycho was running around claiming control over other's bodies. It was never dull when one worked for the King of demons...He stepped through the portal and into Laos' throne room. Laos would not be pleased to learn of their failure...

Things seem to have turned from bad to worse for Yami and Cross. Some psycho was running loose. psycho. They had lost Vermillion's body and now their own. A voice spoke within Yami's head. A voice that sounded like his own. Yet...
Ah, home sweet home. How are you going to report back to Laos? What do you think he would do to you?...
