I'm a serious player most of the time. Even in a casual game, I kinda play MTG as if I'm playing for ante. People always point out that I'm totally serious when it comes to competition. >_>

Maybe it's because I never want to see my opponants gloat when they beat. Hate it, man! I used to be seen as the best, and now since a bunch of new guys moved in the area, I always have to up my game.

I never feel stressed when I play. In fact, no matter how much I suck, I always feel like what I'm doing is great. Magic the Gathering is something that brought my brother and me closer, and since I looked up to him, and still do, I love that something like this was able to spart our relationship to more than just brother and sister. We're good friends.

Although I will admi that when I play my brother, I do get a little stressed cuz I feel I should be getting better for his sake,(since he's taught me how to play) and yet I still suck big time. But I still have fun. whee

The only tourney I've ever attended was a sealed deq. tourney at a local comic shop, though it was hosted by WotC. I was kind of nervous at first, found myself thinking too far ahead than really necessary, causing my brain to "fart" (I would sort of space out or lose my train of thought). After a few wins, I felt a little better. I got to know some of the other contenders and saw them as just another friend I was playing magic with, so I became less tense....

As for casual play, I just have fun with it. But when I'm about to try a new deq. that I made, ill get butterflies in my stomach. How silly am I? xp

I'm usually amused when I play magic. I always play decks that will make me amused. Goblins will make me amused because they're fast and annoying, Stasis will make me amused because well....you don't play Stasis unless you have a lot of time and think it's funny to watch other peoples frustration. Dragon was definitly my favorite. Turn two kill after using the Worldgorger combo always put a smile on my face.

it's scary. not jsut the worldgorger. the spellgorger is an awsome card a well. i used to run four in my lhurgoyf deck, mainly to drop a creature and them plink my 3/1 barbarian to draw card. the worldgorger has this little advantage that he's a freaking 7/7 flyign trample for 3RRR. and if you combine him with white you can make a really good slide deck. then you slide out everythign you have, drop the gorger and you got all of your cards back except for what you used to play the dragon. i never foudn a use for the soulgorger Orgg though. 6/6 trample for 3RR but you lose all but one life. and don't get it back until he leaves play. did i miss any gorgers? cause i know that the wormfang cards are pretty powerful as well.
i do love the wormfang crab 3/6 unblockable, as long as your opponent decides one card that you control that is removed from the game. the red/blue (were their any real white and green nightmares?) are a lot like the fading cards. they are incredibly powerful for a rather cheap cost, as long as they die soon, or you pay a price for them. they are pretty good renditions of Black . you know, without having B in their cost

not entirely true. usually gorger decks have at least four backup strategies in cayse their main one fails. i saw someone get squashed by a gorger deck, and the deck never played anything beyond a single Spellgorger Barbarian. usually countering it only allows their other strategies to work. sometimes the strategies only work if the worldgorger or the soulgorger are already beaten/countered/removed from the game

i mean some of the strategies can't work if something that big is anywhere. of you could always summoners egg it to your opponent, (i loved that xd gave him a soulgorger orgg, when he realeased it i pinged him for 1)

yeah but i gave him three useful cards first. A. so he wouldn't suspect, but B. to even the playing field. i gave him a halbeirder, a furnace whelp, and a dawn elemental, you have to even the playing field somehow. i was secretly hoping that he would beat my by the time i gave him the egg. after all a Dawn elemental, and the furnace whelp were pretty painful. but sadly he didn't get around to beating me before i drew the soulgorger. (thats right i started that combo 10 turns before i actually drew the soulgorger)
