I just saw a local production of "To Kill a Mockingbird" this weekend. It was pretty good except that the girl who played Scout was really bad at projecting her voice. I really liked Atticus and Calpernia. I've always loved the book and the movie, so I knew the play wouldn't live up to my expectations. But they actually did a pretty good job.

Last night, I went to see the Screwtape Letters, performed by the Saltmine Theatre Company. It was quite possibly the best show I've ever seen- the lighting was flawless, the sound brilliant, the set changes seamless- practically no mistakes at all.
Acting was good, too. Brilliant Slubgob.

Offical, it is the musical I have seen the most times ever. Can't think of a better show to hold the title either.

I can't remember most of the things I've seen live, because I saw them when I was eight or nine. The ones I do remember, however...
Beauty and The Beast Pirates of Penzance (my dad bought it while it was still on Lazer disc) The Producers Hamlet Romeo and Juliet Much Ado about Nothing Les Miserables Peter Pan (Peter was played by a woman, too!) Chicago (a local theater production of it, so much better than the movie) And the highlight of my life... Cabaret *loves Alan Cumming to DEATH*

Let's see... I've seen lots of shows at my college. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, which was awesome; Shakespeare's A Winter's Tale, Romeo and Juliet, Hotel Paradiso which is HILARIOUS, and some others that I'm sure I forgot.
I've only seen one show actually on Broadway, and that's Footloose. It was an amazing show. We got to meet the actors afterward and got our posters signed. Sigh... The guy who played Ren was sooo hot.
I'll be travelling to NYC again in the next few months, and while I'm there I plan to see Wicked, Avenue Q, and possibly The Producers. I'd love to see more, but alas... too expensive. I may even have to miss one of those, but Wicked is for sure. Wicked = heart
