Previously on Gaia I used the accounts of "cathl" and "cathl peabody." I am on Sipid's team the "Peabody Pirates" which we established back in High School initially as sort of a gaming clan on Everquest1.
My screenname also came from the same source. My name was initially Cathl Icpriest because I was really quite proficient at "raping" people in game.
Abortion.
Yes. Not for any philosophical reason or anything, but I'm sure I could justify it with classical liberalism. The reason is that this provides me an additional out from child support. Condoms are only so effective, and child support in the US is just unfair to men.
Teen sex.
Yes. Even though I'm in the waning year of my teens, I am still techincally a teen, and I want to have sex.
Teen pregnancy.
Should be avoided like the plague. It drags down society's production possibilities, which hurts everyone's quality of life, and causes even more government expenditures. Plus it would suck to be in this situation due to the afforementioned unfair family laws.
Gay marriage.
I'm opposed to all marriage.
Sexual preference.
Women.
Suicide.
If you want to kill yourself, then I feel no obligation to stop you. Just don't be an ahole and derail a metro train in the process.
Self-harm.
I don't get it.
Love.
A fiction crafted to justify some really irrational or ruthlessly selfish behaviors.
Drugs and Alcohol.
Legalize them, but cut funding to programs for the homeless and the addicted. I certainly don't want legalizing them to cost me money.
Religion.
In the words of a ridiculous evangalist, "Ladies and gentlemen, it's just stupid."

Hi, I'm mistressofthelost, but everyone calls me Misty. I got the name a few years ago when I was trying to find something "dark" (you know, it was...that...phase). Anyways, somehow "vampiremistress" morphed into the current name and I just fell in love....sort of. Even though that phase is over and done with, I still love the name and use it almost everywhere. I'm 16, female, and in a wonderful relationship. I lurk in the LI now, not really much to say on all these repeated topics. Anyways, on to my stances...
Where you stand on:
1) Abortion.
I don't like it. I believe in the whole "everything happens for a reason". If you got pregnant, there is a reson behind it. What it is, I don't know, but I really think the pregnancy should be carried to term. Abortion should not be another form of birth control. I'm sorry, if you have 7 kids and are living on welfare, when do you have TIME for sex?? Unprotected at that. Or if you're having an affair. Well, you shouldn't be doing that in the first place. Teens will be delt with in a minute. Rape victims I can somewhat understand, but I know a woman who had her rapist's child, and from what I can tell, everything is fine. So apparently not all rapes end up badly. Overall, I don't like abortion, but if you do it, don't tell me.
2) Teen sex.
Teens are, for the most part, too immature for sex. Yes, I know, all teen guys are horny 24/7 (or it seems that way), but that's no excuse. In the event that something should happen (STD, pregnancy, etc.) teens generally aren't capable of handling it. Teens can't financially, emotionally, and properly raise a child. Teens tend to not talk to their parents, so if an STD was contracted, the teen's health would be in even more danger because little to no treatment would be given.
3) Teen pregnancy.
Children shouldn't be having children. 'Nuff said.
4) Gay marriage.
Don't like it, and I don't want to see it. I have plenty of gay friends, but no matter how often I see it, it's still weird seeing two guys or girls together. Besides, if this is allowed, how many other issues will be brought up conserning marriage and the like?
5) Sexual preference.
Personally, I'm straight. I don't mind those who have different preferances, but don't shove them in my face. I don't shove mine in yours.
6) Suicide.
Stupid way to go. Life is never that bad. Yeah, it can be pretty horrible, but you can get out of it. Thankfully, I've never lost a friend to suicide, but I'm sure I know someone who has. Suicide causes more pain than it takes away.
7) Self-harm.
I've done it before, but not out of depression. Only out of bordem. Sad no? I don't like it, and I try to help those that do it. My boyfriend is an ex-cutter, or so he says. Anytime he feels down, I do my best to keep him from slipping into that dark area. Self-harm is pointless because once you grow up (seeing as how most of these cutters are attention-whoring teens) you have scars that constantly need to be hidden. It becomes tedious after a while, I'm sure.
9) Love.
A wonderful emotion, not to be confused with lust. Lust is "Wow, that person is so hot, has these wonderful things, and is probably great in bed. I want him/her NOW!" and then a break up happens in a few weeks. Love is more than that. It's getting under their skin to their core and becomming a part of them. It's caring for them through the good and the bad, the nice and the ugly. Being able to sacrifice something for them, for their happiness. Love is....well...love.
10) Drugs and Alcohol.
Stupid, stupid, stupid. If they are illegal, they are that way for a reason. Amazingly, I've never smoked anything, but I've been drinking since I was 10 (tops, 5 times a year). I really don't like it, but sometimes I just can't help myself, sadly. I have a friend whose brother is an alcoholic and a pot head, and God knows what else. When sober, he's pretty cool. Sadly, I've never seen him this way I don't think. When he's drunk and/or high, he's just...out of it. He lives at home, didn't graduate high school, and he's only 17. He does make some pretty profound statements though, such as "Drinking friends are the best you can ever have. One night they're holding you up while your puking your guts out, and the next you're holding them. At least there's someone who knows your problems and can care about you despite that." I try to discourage my friends from drinking and smoking, but sometimes it just doesn't work. You can't always save them I guess.
11) Religion.
I'm Christian, don't know about the rest of you. I think everyone has a "religion" whether or not it's labled as such is your choice. I've been exposed to so many other religions, but still I remain strong. I enjoy debating on religion and theology, but don't count on me to always have the best/quickest answer as my first one. If I'm asked a question though, I will come back with as much as I can, although it might take a while. If you're atheist, please don't shove the belief "religion is stupid/pointless" down my throat. It isn't going to affect me at all. People say that Christians are closeminded, but sometimes the ones saying it are even more so than we are.

Allright, I'm male, My name is Jeremiah, I'm 16, and from Las Vegas(Well, I'm actually from a little city next to it, But usually know one out of state knows it, so LV is easier to use).
My username doesn't really have much of a history to it..
I was playing some online game and needed to think of a name. I wanted it to be short, to be easy to remember, easy to type, etc. I also wanted it to have more vowels than consonants... I don't remember why. So I eventually came up with Auh. I like it, and it fits all of the criteria I had at the time.
1) Abortion.
Abortion never really bothered me. I'm pro-choice... I think so mainly because it's just their choice, their problem, their life. Morality may say otherwise, But I think in this case it should be accepted.
2) Teen sex.
Teen sex is a large issue in the U.S., and probably in a multitude of other places. I think sex should occur when the two people thinking about doing it are mature enough, understand the possible consequences of it, if any consequences do occur then they should deal with it, and also have the ability to resist any sexual urges and think things through.
3) Teen pregnancy.
Teen pregnancy.. It's not really an issue for me, and I don't have much to say about it. Most of my thoughts about it are relevant to teen sex. Also, I think that both of the parents of the baby should take care of it, because it's both their problem. The mother shouldn't be the only one caring for it, which happens a lot of the time.
4) Gay marriage.
I think it should be allowed. I'm not gay, But I don't think it's right to restrict this priveledge(sp?) just because of one's sexual preferences. They should be able to do what they want, without struggling with society. It shouldn't be a problem to anyone, unless they make it a problem. It really isn't harming anyone, I think.
5) Sexual preference.
I prefer people of the opposite sex, Whom would be women.
Sexual Preference... I think you have the right to like whatever sex you want to.
I think it should be your choice.
6) Suicide.
I don't think suicide is right. a Person's life may not be good, But ending your life is not the way to fix it. You should confront people about your problems and try to fix it, rather than keeping them secret. Keeping them secret is not gonna help you.
7) Self-harm.
Again, I don't think self-harm is right either. It doesn't make anything better. If you think about it, all's it's doing is hurting you, and using the pain to forget your problems, or just to feel the pain isn't a smart idea in my opinion.
9) Love.
Love.. Love is an interesting thing. It happens to everyone, and it has the extraordinary ability to hurt people, bring people together, rip them apart, and many other things. I think love is a good thing. I believe it should be taken with care and with trust. Most of my issues are with love... Or something like it.
10) Drugs and Alcohol.
Personally, I think drinking, smoking, and doing drugs are discusting habits. I don't want to do them, I'll never want to, and if I meet someone who does do any of the mentioned it will affect my opinion of that person. I'm simply against it.
11) Religion.
Religion is a tender issue, and I'd rather not discuss it.

Hello all.
Yes I'm Serpantlord (One of my names, at least for websites.) Well, since some people posted the origin of their name, hey, why don't I? Well, I think it was in..Hmm... ahh yes, I was a small child then, but anyway When I was a kid I would always draw these little, "serpants" not "serpents" that is the correct spelling I think. and they took around half a second to draw, I loved them, and I was known for them (among my friends, and yes, a random stranger here and there.) So recently, I made a name on AIM "SerpantLord5" And so, I got rid of my old Gaia account, (Joined in 03 too...) and made this one. My real life name, personally I'm not very fond of it, it's nice but just...So, I go as Raphael sometimes, on other websites I used to go on, and some games I was known as -Rah The Holy -Corproal Kai -Kurosai the warped. And surprisingly I'm writing a book about those three fictional people. Well then, enough said. (Ya I think you all know now I'm male.)
Before I post my opinions here I'd like to say I have a weird set of beleifs.
1 ) Abortion: Though taking the "life" of another being, it is sometimes, and frequently necessary, thus I beleive it depends on the situation, I really have no clue about this matter though, but I don't think the (fetus?) Can really feel anything, it all comes down to if you really need to or not.
2 ) Teen sex: Ahh yes, a while back I was strongly against this, yes I still think you should wait until you can support a child before sex because there is no such thing as 100% protection, yet, It is their choice, Their path in life, to some it may be wrong, but they chose to do it, so to them it mustmost likely is/be right, and if it is right to them, then that's all they need worry about, at least, that's what I beleive.
3 ) Teen pregnancy: Ehh, too similiar to the above one, well not really, but I'm tired.
4 ) Gay marriage: I'm not against this, I support it, so far I have reason to beleive I'm straight, but I strongly support this, all because, it is their choice, who get's to put limits on things like that? No one should, if you want, read my journal entry titled "Limitations" It's short but hey... I did'nt feel like typing much.
5 ) Sexual preference: Ehh, women, but hey who knows, I'd be considered young, things change.
6 ) Suicide: Once more, their choice, I do not encourage suicide, but if someone wants to commit it, I stand by them, If they want to end their life* then so be it, no one should force them to stay alive.
* There could be more than one life...?
7 ) Self-harm: A temporary solution, and to me, most ineffective. Pain brings pain, I do not see how it can possibly bring more, but I won't try to stop any one who does end up harming themself.
8 ) Love: I do not beleive in love. No more will be said.
9 ) Drugs and Alcohol: ~Sigh~ Once again, if one chooses to do this it is their choice, no one should make it for them, if they think it's right then it's right to them.
10 ) Religion: All religions are right to me. (I guess you could say I'm athiest, only because I choose to be though.)
(Ehh, I have a journal entry titled something like "I thought" I think like that, has to do with my beleifs and such.)
Here is the "limitation" one:
Who's to say what cannot be done.
Who's the one who put limits on the universe.
Who's the one forbiding things because they have failed.
No one should be able to do that.
No one can stop it.
But everyone does.
If they can't then it's impossible.
But because one person failed does not mean the next won't.
There are things they say that aren't possible.
But who's to say so?
The only limitation put on us...
Is ourselves.
And my beleifs one.
I was thinking on the way home from school as usual. And I thought about religion and science for some reason, and that, you could break everything down into molecules and atoms, or that god created everything piece by piece (I'm athiest though.) And both theories are right in their own ways and that's when it hit me. In the game of life their is no wrong path, anything you choose to do in life is the right thing to do. No matter what you do, it was always right for you.

I am pro choice. I don't know if I would ever want to kill something, but I respect if someone else does. I think its wrong to try and control people like that.
2) Teen sex.
Teen Sex is perfectly fine...I think they should use condoms to stay away from like STDs and Birth Control if they don't use condoms, to keep away from getting pregnant.
3) Teen pregnancy.
I don't think teens should want to get pregnant, but if it happens its their choice to figure out what they are going to do.
4) Gay marriage.
Okay its just wrong to say they can't get married.
5) Sexual preference.
I don't know what you mean, but I am fine with people liking the same/both sexes.
6) Suicide.
Its their choice if they really think they can't live then they can. I don't support it though I think its really mean to the people who love you.
7) Self-harm.
I don't see any problem with it...The person should be getting help instead of harming him/herself but if it makes them feel better and there not going to accidentally kill themselfs I find it fine.
9) Love.
I believe in love. I don't however believe that someone needs to get married to prove their love. I don't want to get married or have children, but I am still fifteen it could change.
10) Drugs and Alcohol.
Okay, I hate alcohol, because my mom is an alcoholic, but either they make drugs legal or make alcohol illegal. I persononally think that alcohol should be illegal because so many people are making wrong choices and so many good people are dying/getting hurt/getting arrested because of drunk drivers.
11) Religion.
I am not a strong believer in religion...I believe in science. I can't help thinking about what happens to you after you die though.
Well thats what I think.

it obviously come from "Chobits" and the "T" in front of "Chii" isn't a typo or a desesparate way to take an already taken name. Actually "Tchii" is the very correct way to spell it in the french version of the manga and odds are that I am a french speaker.
I use to be "Xayasha" around LI but that was a long time ago so most people must not remember me.
Now for my different opinions:
1) Abortion: Pro-choice. In certain situation it is better for a baby to not get to see the world. I'm far from considering this a murder. Mistakes can happen, we aren't perfect, and I believe that it is entirelly the mother's right to decide what is best for her and her future.
2) Teen sex: That is a touchy question because my opinion really goes with each situation I see. It's not all black or all white for me.
3) Teen pregnancy: I normally do hope for an abortion as I don't believe that a teen as the mentality to raise a child. Also I'm not much for adoption at this stage as I understand that to give birth and then never get to see this child again isn't healthy for the young mom...even less healthy then getting an abortion in my book...but at the end it's all the mother's choice.
4) Gay marriage: Hum...they have the right to get married as much as I do. I'm not against this at all. It most sounds stupid but I don't even get the point of all the fighting over this (expect about church marriage but that is another problem). We should be evolved enough to understand that homosexuality is part of life.
5) Sexual preference. My sexual preference? I doubt that it is the question but I'm straight. Now what I think of other's sexual preference... it's how life is, no need to argue about this. Althought I must say that the gay parades and gay olympic and such are from my point of view very un-needed our days and doesn't help them to get accepted at all by those who already don't tolarate them.
6) Suicide: There should always be a work-around. I don't think suicide is either awkard or couragous. I don't believe it brings anything as you might think it will free yourself but you won't feel this freedom, you don't feel anything, it's over. You miss all the chances you would have had to get out of this by yourself and finally be able to feel this freedom you were longing for.
7) Self-harm: "It's the only dolor I can controll" I guess I can understand why one would end up doing this... but I don't think it's anything close to "alright". The person who is getting this far needs serious help.
9) Love: Lots of different kind of love. One thing is certain, love does exist and one shouldn't try to fully undertand this feeling, nor to controll it. Love hurts, love heals. It shouldn't be denyed that it is there and eventually will jump in your face.
10) Drugs and Alcohol: I don't need either of them to be happy. I don't always understand what people that abuse of alcohol or use drugs are trying to acheive but I certainly think it is very un-heathy and destructor to the person using it and to is surrending. Brings no good.
11) Religion: People need something strong to believe in. But I don't think this thing should be brought up by other people and even less imposed. Which means there wouldn't be any "religion" left but only extremely diversified way of thinking.

I don't think they're the answer, but I've never tried drugs. Alcohol is fine in small amounts, but hangovers suck.

Raised in a Jewish family, but I'm personally agnostic. I think it divides people too much.

Hi!!
I'm new here (obviously) and I thought I'd introduce myself here.
My real name's Julie, I'm 19, my birthday is December 8th, and I live in Canada. As for all of the other issues:
1) Abortion- I really don't have any problems with abortion, I think it's a person's right to choose. My only problem with it is I don't think it's right when it's used as a form of birth control. If you're going to be having a lot of sex, at least use some other form of birth control.
2) Teen sex- I tend to go with the legal age of whatever state or province you're in. Where I live, the legal age is 15. I think that's a good age, as long as both partners are around the same age.
3) Teen pregnancy- Well, I don't really agree with this. Most teens are too immature physically, mentall, and emotionally to carry and look after a child. I really think you shouldn't have children until you're at least 20, or unless you're serios about it, and educate yourself first.
4) Gay marriage- I totally support gay marriage, I think gay people should have the same rights as straight people, no question.
5) Sexual preference- A person's sexual prefrence it totally up to them, you can be straight, gay, bi, cross dresser, whatever they want!! It should be up to them!
6) Suicide- I don't think it's ever really a good option, but I don't regard people who do it as weak willed or selfish. Your life is primarily yours, and it should be your choice how you live, or don't live.
7) Self-harm- Same opinion as suicide. You should always look for a better answer, but I know that is the only way some people can express themselves.
9) Love- I don't personally belive in love, I think it's a way to justify yourself, but I know other people believe in it, and find it a very powerful force. I love my friends and family, but I don't believe you can give yourself completley to another person like that.
10) Drugs and Alcohol- I do like to party, and I do drink ocassionally. I don't think there's anything wrong with alchol, but I'm a little iffy about drugs, especially the harder kinds. The best thing to remeber with either case though, is that everything is acceptable with moderation.
11) Religion- I'm a witch, even though I'm very laid back about it. I think people should be free to pursue thier own religions, as long as they don't push their beliefs or ideals on other people!!
