When you wake up that particular morning, all your normal aches and pains and irritabilites are even worse than normal. Your head aches, your joints ache, your mouth aches, and you even your skin feels irritable. On top of that, there is a particularly irritating bug bite on the back of your arm.

Then, when you go to put in your dentures... the strangest thing happens: they don't fit. When you feel around your mouth there are two small bony protrusions near the front of your mouth on the roof. Then, over the next few minutes, the two protrusions grow and lengthen until they've become two bony fanglike... teeth?!

But that is hardly the end. Your ring and pinky fingers shrivel before your eyes while some of your white ringlets begin to fall out of your head as the skin begins to darken and thicken. The dark greenish skin spreads: all down your back. when it reaches your tail bone it's joined by a sharp pain as your tailbone unfuses and begins to protrude from the base of your spine. A short, thick tail pushes its way out from your lower back as the front of your face hurst something aweful as your nose and mouth push out into a small muzzle. The bones around your eyes thicken as the sockets grow and ossify.

Finally, the changes slow and stop, leaving you quite freakish... like the others.

The day was as usual, waking up to an alarm sounding off at a specific time, a few of the cats had already gathered on the edge of the bed to beg for the food that was soon to come. Barbra rose, like all the other days, setting aside her CPAP machine and leaving it to automatically shut off. And lastly throwing on the glasses that had been set on the nightstand.

The woman's daily routine was always the same, every day everything would be placed in the same spot, the same grab for the cane, the same grunt as she rose from the bed and her old bones creaked. Which then would lead to the same steps to the kitchen section, and the same helping of petfood to her little gang mewling below.

Now that the task was completed, with several pauses to scratch at a very annoying bug bite... Oh but atleast she'd had that vaccination against that virus, she was on her way to the bathroom to tend to various old-lady things. For one, washing her face, proving more difficult with each new wrinkle that came to her face, and next were the dentures, digging them out of the little cup next to the sink, she gave them a rinse off, then went to pop them in her mouth as always.
Only... there was a problem this time. For one, there was a bit of pain when she tried, and two they weren't going in at all. The dentures, in confusion, were dropped on the counter, and she was reaching to dig out whatever had gotten in her gum to cause this problem. It wasn't the most uncommon thing, getting something stuck up there and having to dig it out to get the dentures to fit... Though she couldn't figure what on earth had she eaten that would have done that. The uncommon and suprising thing came when she found the object to be a part of her.

Frowning, in the way she was best at, she leaned towards the mirror, adjusting the round vision aids, she saw that there were infact two teeth. Or the start of them... But Teeth. Teeth of all things... "What in God's holy name..." she mumbled to herself, left to pick at them and try and reason within her mind what on earth that was. And in a few minutes, she was convinced she was either finally going senile (finally?), or that these teeth had grown into fangs.

The next part was even worse, a few pains-ones she'd been used to through arthuritus- but with a completely different outcome. When she'd gone to rub away the ache in her pinky and ring fingers, she found them to be shrivling away. Gapping, she stumbled back, grasping her cane to hobble as fast as possible towards her bed. She was going to call Sabin. That was it. That long haired hippie boy better have a good explination for this...

That plan was flawed, though, as with the shrivling and panic also came a shakyness in her limbs that prevented her from dialing the single number. Now her hair was falling out. A bit paniced, the woman wasn't sure what to do but lay back on the bed before she would fall on her own and hurt herself more than what was originally happening. And just in time too, as a shooting pain hit her tailbone, quickly followed by a pain in her face. Giving a grunt of pain, she desperatly rolled to the side, grabbing at the drawer. Pills. Here. She dug through the various orange plastic bottles, grabbing the familiar one labled 'morphine.' It took a few tries, and pauses, to get the bottle open through the shifting of bones that were already worn down with age, but she managed to recover the large pill and drop it into her newly widened mouth, swallowing it dry out of desperation.

And it was there she stayed, eyes shut, waiting for the effects to kick in and end it all. And wether it was the drugs, or the change had just ended, she was left confused and slightly terrified... Her strange new fingers felt at the object coming from her posterior, the new baldspot atop her head, and the feel of scales all over...

"That little hooligan...!" she shouted suddenlly, causing a few of the staring cats to run in the tension they already held. "I bet that little satanist retard b*****d child did this with his his... little curse! Oh lord, I'm going to get him over my knee and show him a thing or two..." Ranting to herself, she went to make a stand, but was quickly drawn back to her bed by a dizzyness and urge to sleep that came with the drug ontop of such a bodily stress.

Sighing in defeat, she gave a half hearted "After a quick nap..." before letting herself drift off.
