His right fist clenches as he hears the scold from his teacher. She was always harsh to him when it came to teaching him something, but he had to admit, when she was right, the old hag was right. He stood his ground in complete calmness but frustration as the controlled people are shot down toward him, along with the incoming charge of his foe. Things looked grim to him, but it was time for tough judgment. He had kept from killing nothing but demons before because he was told they were bad. But after a realization, he knew to judge even demons for their rights and wrongs, only taking down the ones who were chosen to be beaten to a pulp for wanting to do some harm to this world or the other. He didn't feel any guilt then.

The Doctor had played the same trick on him of testing his will to not kill a human. Such a man was clever in screwing around with the kid's brain, but he came to soon realize that Yusuke saw only two things: you were either alright on terms with him or needed a good a**-kicking. This Jonas character obviously needed that type of treatment. And well, his "puppets," unfortunately, needed to be treated the same way. He could only mentally apologize for what he was about to do, but it was neccessary to take out this Vexic character before anymore harm came to anyone else.

"Why do you always have to be right, Grandma," Yusuke would say as he slides his right foot back, turns his left side a bit toward the approaching Jonas, and places his right hand outward, fingers uncurled and his palm up. It would positioned in to the side as his left hand hovers over it, open palm, too, as a red glow outlines his body, much calmer. Jonas would recognize it as the "shield" Yusuke created before when he had used his spirit energy, but the difference was in color. Yet, there was another difference, too. It seemed a wave of pulsing energy would stream over his body, the boy at great concentration. When one used demon energy, it was usually let wild, set free to be able to do as it pleased against those of the wielder's enemies. But this time, no this time, Yusuke had actually tamed his power, showing a mastery that only a few demons were capable of achieving. For example, his ancestor, Raizen.

His focus now ready, he would give a smirk, the first he has presented for a while since this fight started. And when Yusuke gave a smile, it meant he was confident in his following actions.

"Alright, Vexic. Show me what you got."

"Took him long enough," Genkai would say softly to herself, then looks to the people flying in toward Yusuke. They were out of her safety now, so it was to the boy to save their lives and finish this Vexic off. She hated seeing this situation. This tournament wasn't worth killing anyone else, and she had protested on him joining earlier when the rules stated that you'll have to nearly or actually kill your opponent to win, as the battles were outfitted with competitors like any other. But maybe this would go in a more positive direction. Yusuke was paranoid in killing others, even enemies that he had fought before, but this time, this would be a great test in his endurance in emotional pain. He needed it at the Dark Tournament to make him stronger. Now, he needed to subdue it here to make him even stronger. This is the type of training any teacher would want their student to take....

....and to pass.

((Sorry for the wait. ^_^``` I've been busy and not feeling well. This isn't up to par with a post I'd like to make, but don't know if I'll have a chance tomorrow so I'd rather be safe than sorry.))

Fifty one collissions. Each of the fifty suspended puppets would crash into the shield created by the spirit detective with a single forceful thrust coming from Jonas. Jonas had two hopes for this concentrated effort. The first would be that his puppets would be utterly destroyed and he'd be allowed to take part in their transcendence into pure energy and nothingness, a state higher than their own through punishment of their mortal vessel. The secondary hope was that he'd break down the shield either through strength of force or the growing ressonance effect surrounding his frame. Should that occur he'd hope to give Yusuke that same final fate. The only odd thing would be that Jonas would not be looking directly at Yusuke, his head turned down.

To Jonas's amazement, he would not find that dome of energy Yusuke had used before. The only field now was concentrated solely along the form of the spirit detective himself, making him seem like he was some ethereal form now with the energy caressing him softly.

"Let's go!"

Yusuke's attention will switch from Jonas to the airborne people, suddenly leaping into the air, sending rapid fists out at each one, aiming to send them flying right out of the arena. Ten would be able to be struck with only one neccessary punch filled with a powerful force of energy.

"SNAP...."

He sends another ten flying.

"....OUT...."

And another.....

"....OF...."

And the final ten would be his last homerun smack.

"IT!!"

He was not only trying to send them far enough to make them no longer capable of being affected by Jonas's powers, but maybe knocking some sense into them each may send them into an unconscious state that will make it incapable for them to be possessed for the time being. Sort of like the same case with the Doctor, almost. Yusuke really didn't want to kill them, anyway, so the best next thing was knocking them out, literally.

Jonas was rather disappointed in the unfortunate turn of events as it would not grant him the full extent of his desires. He sails past where Yusuke had been as he begins swatting the spectators away, the empathic and telepathic links buckling under the strain. A thick red blood bursts from his nose as the force from it carries away small bits of grey matter and tears up the nasal passages. In his last act of defiance including the puppets he forcefully severs the links and ends the lives of each of the fifty, tearing their minds apart as their skin as flayed from their bones. The countryside would be littered with the flesh and blood, but they would be at peace from Jonas's manipulations.

While one would think this angered the most peculiar Vexic it in fact did not. The goal was achieved no matter the means to accomplish it. Had Yusuke killed them they would have transcended the mortal coil amidst the ecstacy of torment just the same as if Jonas had torn them apart from the inside out. While Jonas did indeed gain pleasure and power from their pain and the stress placed upon Yusuke, he was a Believer. Through killing and pain flooding the senses of all he could bring under his sway he was creating a better world. All of them, better worlds.

When Jonas finally came to a stop his limbs twisted and his body crouched low to the ground. The scream of metal grating on metal pierced the air as his metallic based frame seemed to be coming apart at the seams. Through the metallic reverberations through the air it would slowly become evident that Jonas seemed to be emplacing a great deal of concentration into whatever it was that he was trying to accomplish. When the ground began cracking around him the purpose of his efforts might become painfully clear, and would become even moreso in mere moments.

Yusuke would land about thrity feet away from Jonas after his acrobatic leap to knock those people out of here, having no idea that they were now dead. Oh, if he did know, however, well, things would get worse, and not for Yusuke. He would turn around after landing, still lined in that red aura of his, until he sees a very, very strange sight in front of him: the guy's body was twisting in ways inhuman. Yeah, he was not human. Just a monster of metal. With the cracking of the ground, however, he could only ponder what this guy was up to, his stance prepared for any surprise assaults.

The force of will exuding from Jonas quickly began flooding the grounds upon which the arena had been established. The floor directly under Yusuke's feet began to shift and change as two great hands rose up in the attempt to enclose around Yusuke and drag him underground. At the same moment large chunks of earth were tearing themselves from the ground as the stone walls of the arena began to crack. Any remaining sand in the arena had also picked up and was scouring the air, focusing around Yusuke in a whirlwind. Should Yusuke have a need to breathe taking in all that sand would surely be less than pleasant over time. Jonas himself, meanwhile, was still crouched while the blades continued to grate against one another all across his form.

Yusuke would look down as the earth started to crumble, suddenly having what looked to be hands coming up to try to take a hold of him. That problem will be solved with him leaping forward over them, landing onto a pile of sandy earth that was becoming just as unstable as the rest. Even the walls could be seen subduing to this earthquake like force, and the source was that madman. If he didn't do anything soon, this whole place was about to take a fall, so it was time for him to make this all count.

He suddenly sprints toward Jonas, just hopping across the cracks and faults making themselves present throughout the ground as he draws quickly near. He showed no fear for Jonas before so there was no reason for him to stop now. He would leap into the air, coming down now toward Jonas with his right arm bending and rising up, showing he was about to perform a downward strike right down onto this guy.

"YAAAAAAAHHH!"

Shards of rock began to swirl around Jonas's form as ground up rock, dirt, and sand swirled around his body. Smaller chunks would be launched into Yusuke's path to halt his advance as blood and Agony flowed into the growing cloud of debris around Jonas, becoming as one with the earth. Before Jonas disappeared Yusuke would notice his head snap up and his arms thrust up towards the spirit detective, the scream of metal piercing the air with the sight of his right arm spinning apart. The debris mixed with blood and Agony would form up into a shield much like a bubble, reminiscent of the capabilities of a particular demon infused ninja that had been present in the tournament. Sand and debris mixed with his blood and Agony to produce such an effect that surpassed that which it mimiced, however. The blood contained within and the Agony component linked the sands to Jonas and while any strike upon the sands would not transfer pain to the elemental, it seemed as if strikes against it would have an inverse effect in the short term just the same as pain inflicted upon Jonas pushes him far beyond his limits. Grand sections of the arena walls had begun floating away from their locations while chunks from the floor began to rise up. The terrain was becoming highly unstable in of itself.

"What the hell?"

Yusuke would land onto the shield that was produced by Jonas, bending his knees before leaping back, moving through the air and landing twenty feet away onto ground not yet under complete decimation of this happening occurrence. He would wonder what this guy was up to until he looks around, finding the walls cracking up and breaking down, with the ground below him starting to further show activity with a rising effect. Jonas was becoming more aggressive, and the entire arena was crumbling apart.

"W-wooah!"

He tries to keep balance from the shaking earth, only to show continuing frustration. So, he instead decides to assault Jonas again, his body flaring in red as he launches straight at Jonas at quick speeds through the air, his right hand swirling with demon energy as he swings it forth toward that shield, aiming to at least place a dent into it with sheer strength and spiritual power.

Genkai could already see that this arena was becoming a junkyard of stone and earth, so would place her hands forward, with her thumbs and index fingers touching one another as she closes her eyes, a sphere forming from her mind in physical form as it grows more and more around her. When it stops, it will surround her and the stands in a fourty feet diameter, making sure this is the only part of the arena that doesn't fly away like the rest. She would then lower her hands and continue to watch the fight, finding things not looking well for her pupil, but she had confidence that he'll pull through. He wasn't the smartest guy, but he had the intelligence of any fighter with the right mind of tactics.

More rock and debris had begun swirling through the air in proximity to the now shielded man. This would create an effect much similar to an incredible windstorm in which pieces of debris were present within, aiming to knock Yusuke off course. Furthermore, sections of earth underfoot would begin rising up to knock him off course from below with their massive weight and size. Should Yusuke get through he would find the shield only growing in strength as Jonas applied more of the base components to its construction. This, however, would not be the only defensive mechanism built into the dome that was rapidly becoming a sphere as the lower sections fell away. Jonas would be left inside of a spinning sphere that would gradually increase in speed such that it would deflect blows off to one side by the motions of the sphere.

One might pause to wonder how Jonas was keeping an eye on Yusuke whilst still within his sphere. This was easily accomplished by a form of remote viewing and taking notice of a 'gap' in debris in the air left by Yusuke's presense. While Genkai's efforts would be the salvation of that particular 40ft radius of the stands and other such facilities the area just around it would still be breaking down. Soon the area below, the supports for example, would begin tearing away to join the growing mass of floating rock chunks spaced throughout the arena.

Yusuke would show his will of wanting to get to Jonas as he would swing his right and left fists simultaneously to whack the debris coming toward him. Despite their size, this was an easy task for him, needing nothing more than fists powered with the force of his body, knocking them off to random directions as he heads down toward that shield of Jonas. He would get through, even though he would be delayed, his right fist striking right at the shield.

Then he finds his fist moved off to the side, the rotation of the sphere not allowing it. That is when he would suddenly send a flurry of punches right at the shield, each one trying to strike through the rotating shield to at least make a good straight and direct attack. And he would be aloft there in the air, showing that he did have capabilities of flight. Finding that he was failing in his attacks, he would decide it was time to take a "hold" of the situation. That is when both hands would open into grab-like positions and thrust forward.

When he strikes into the shield again, a great blast of demon energy would crackle and spray from contact, Yusuke now determined to go against the rotation as he struggles to keep his hands in place. But this time, friction was building here, as he would attempt to create a hole in the shield, like a drill of sorts. The very force from this action alone would cause a disturbance of air around them, the turmoil similar to that of the breaking apart arena as nothing but collision would be occuring right now.

The support below will be little problem, for the sphere itself would keep her and the contents inside easily floating, so she was protected for the time being. She continued to watch this battle, hoping that victory would be the result of Yusuke's determination.

The assaults against the sphere had increased the overall strength of the defensive shell even as Jonas was reinforcing it himself. The friction applied by Yusuke against the sphere was indeed showing some progress as a fine glass dust began swirling around his hands. This, however, would come with a price as larger sections of the floor and arena walls began to zip past the sphere with almost no room for error. This would mean that between the large sections of debris now flying through the air Yusuke had a high chance of being thrown away from the sphere, should he not divert his focus or be able to withstand the large slab trying to peel him away. It might seem slightly odd that despite the friction and even sand turning to glass at the point of contact, the temperature around Yusuke was dropping at a steady rate.
