Ra smiled and looked at her. "Um, I used to, before you met my parents. But they are cool with it so I don't worry anymore. I believe out beliefs are personal, I don't mind what others believe if they don't mind what i do." He smiled and sat down on the bed to run a comb through his hair. "Do you mean, like ... for the future? If we had a family?" He asked a bit tentatively. He didn't want to freak her out at all, but it was something to consider.

Obie smiled and returned to the closet to fish something for herself to wear to church as she listened to him. At his tentative words, she paused for a moment, then grabbed the blouse she had paused on and returned to the bed, tossing it and the skirt she had picked out on the bed beside him.
"Yeah. I think I do," she said with a small smile as she looked down at him. "I just... I don't know. What would you see if we got to that point?" she asked slipping her track pants off to pull on her skirt.

Ra smirked and stood to get his cologne from his case. "Um, well, obviously it's a big part of my background, my culture and my family. I think I would want my children to be brought up to understand and respect my religion, but ... following it will be their choice. I wouldn't ram anything down their throats like my parents did." he smiled and walked back to sit on the bed. "How about you. What do you think?"

Heh... what did she think? Sitting on the bed next to him, she buttoned up her blouse as she thought about it for a moment. "I don't know. I mean... obviously I'm not hardcore in my beliefs. Though I think I rather like the idea of our hypothetical kids being free to choose what they want. To be brought up with a broad spectrum and understanding. Does that make sense?" she asked looking over at him. "I just... don't want them to be close minded and unworldly. That breeds too many problems."

"Of course it makes sense. perfect sense." He said with a bright smile, reaching out to run a hand down her back. "We could pick the best of both worlds of course. Give them basic beliefs, morality and understanding." he stopped and gave her a wry smirk. "We are such a married couple." He snorted. "You suggesting my clothes, us talking about kids." He smirked. "Though they will be incredibly cute kids if they take after me." he winked, flopping back to look at the ceiling.

Obie smirked a little and tucked some of her hair behind her ear as she thought about what Madison had mentioned earlier in the day. Breathing in deeply, she turned and crawled over him to sit straddled across his lap so she could look down at him.
"Is that so wrong?" she asked softly, genuinely curious as to what his opinion was.

Ra raised an eyebrow as she climbed on top of him and smiled up at her. If he was honest it was something he thought about sometimes ... o.k often. It was hard not to, they seemed to fit together so well he didn't want to think about the possibility of her not being in his future. "No." He said resting his hands on her waist. "I don't think it's wrong at all. In fact I think it's good we're so comfortable with each other."

Obie smiled and leaned down to kiss him softly. "Me too," she smiled and kissed him once more before sliding off his lap to put some make up on. So in truth they had not been together for very long... though five months topped anything she had ever had and it felt like so much more, she realized. Truly because there was so much more to their relationship and for once in her life she began to seriously think about a future with him in it.
"Are you ready?" she asked as she pinned her hair back with a small jewelled hair pin and turned around to face him with a very warm, happy smile.

"Yep." he said as he stood and pulled his coat and scarf on and returning her warm smile. "Ready and quite excited." Grinning he took her hand in his and led her out of the room. He was really too excited about the whole celebration.

Obie woke early once again, an odd excitement stirring her. She had never felt this way about Christmas. It had always been more of a chore than joyful event. But last night and the day before had been amazing leading her to believe that today was going to be even more so. She was still incredibly nervous about meeting the rest of the family, but was excited as well. They were her family. She actually -had- family now. Smiling and trying her best to contain her excitement, she forced herself to keep her eyes closed, though she turned to bury herself against Ra's warmth and hugged him tightly. She was so happy he was here with her. She felt so complete, she thought as she nuzzled his chest lightly and breathed him in deeply.

Ra had been sleeping in bursts. Like a little kid he kept waking up and thinking it was morning. Only to realise it was only an hour since he had last looked at the clock on his phone. Feeling Obie stir he ran his fingers up her back and smiled. "Merry christmas." He said as he looked down at her. "This is going to be so much fun."

Obie smiled at his greeting and finally allowed herself to open her eyes. Lifting her head, her smile grew and she leaned forward to kiss him softly. "Merry Christmas love," she grinned and pulled the covers up higher so she could snuggle with him a little more. "It really is," she agreed. "I feel like we should run down there and go shake all the presents or something," she laughed softly. "But I don't want to look like a total nerd. I am supposed to be the eldest after all," she smirked

Ra laughed and held her closely. "I bet Sadie is up ... we could go incite her to come down with us. Make everyone some tea and coffee." he smirked and kissed her again. "I can't wait to give you your present." he said. Which was the truth. he was also a little nervous as to whether she would like it or not.

"Brilliant idea love. I can't wait to give you yours either," she smiled and kissed him once more before sitting up and slipping out of bed. "I'll meet you downstairs," she smiled and slipped out of the room to walk across the hall to Sadie's. Slipping inside with a grin, the younger girl was still in bed, but Obie could tell she wasn't asleep. Padding silently across the room, she leaned over and peered down at her.
"Are you going to sleep the whole day away?" she whispered.
Sadie opened her green eyes in a flash and grinned broadly at her older sister. She had been trying to pretend she wasn't horribly excited about opening her presents, but if Obie was already up, then it must be okay.
"No," she replied with a soft laugh as she quickly sat up and got out of bed to tie her fuzzy robe around her.
"Come on then," Obie smiled and held her hand out to her as she started towards the door. "We'll make some coffee and tea and wake everybody up," she grinned with a hint of mischief.

Ra appeared downstairs moments after them. A hoodie over his t-shirt and track pants. He tucked his hands inside the sleeves and made his way into the kitchen to lean against the counter. "Morning." He grinned at Sadie as he watched the two of them. "Sorry, I have to get this out of my system before I have to be sensible again. I so can't wait to see if Father Christmas came." He laughed, almost bouncing on the spot.
