Scarlet smiled as the smoke dispersed. "Interesting, that one, might even hold my interest..... for a small amount of time." Scarlet chuckled. "yes Ruby, you inherited that penchant for short affection from me, but I would have never settled on an angel. Used him, yes most definatley, but settled...never." Ruby stayed quiet,not interested in responding to the conversation, which amused Scarlet even more. She picked up a new book and walked to the door across the room, which opened up to her bedchamber. It was decorated in reds, with a large four poster bed next to the tower window, which overlooked the cliffs below. Scarlet sat down on the bed and opened up the book, she scanned through the notes, pausing to smile at some of them, or scratch them out with a pen. "We almost have it Ruby, the trick to our own little book, and once it's cracked, then immortality will be mine, along with the true names of your precious friends, and my own sweet sweet vengeance."

Lucas glanced out the window of the second floor, the demon had more a look of a heavenly creature than a being of the darkness, his long gold hair shining with a soft light matched with his crystal blue eyes. It was all part of his name, Lux Ferar, and except for the general puck-like expression, and arch of his brows, he looked like a decent guy. "Carolers? Ah, I see I see....umm, sure, we surrender ourselves to your mercy...."

"Now do you want me to deliver the message to the mistress before or after I got myself bathed in light....and do I need to bathe naked?" Lucas kept a wide grin on his face as he talked, "which two boys are you anyway? You look kinda familiar, like you're one of the faces in the "Heavenly Angels" trading cards they sell to us little demon kids, out in the nether planes." As he talked a worn out chinese coin rolled across his knuckles and dissapeared into his palm, then appeared in his other hand and flipped into the air. "Bet you all haven't ever heard of us small time folks, have you."

"The mistress? sure thing." He turned his head back inside, " Oy cupcake, we got some girlscouts at the door, they wanna bathe us in light and bring us to justice." In a high falsetto voice he answered himself, "tell 'em to go away, I'm in the shower."

He turned back to the window, flipping the coin a few more times. "Sorry kids, I did try....."

Lucas snapped the coin into his fist, a purple substance with the properties of ice forming a quick shield that filled the window, but as the light touched it it disolved into a dark smoke. Lucas had dissapeared, but his voice followed out over the courtyard, having lost some of the mocking quality "I'll go inform the lady of your presence, Archangel, but you already know what her answer will be, as do I."

The gargoyles moved from thier perch at the top of the stairs, a low rumble coming from the bottom of their throats. One of them lept at Arch, claws outstretched to swipe at his throat, while the second flew over Diruak, then dived for attack. (5 damage per a hit with 25LP each).

The sword was stopped in the gargoyle's grip, which clamped down, the stone claws holding onto the blade, as the creature leaned forward and snapped it's sharp teeth at the Angel's wing. (20)

The second Gargoyle skittered away from the sheilds spikes, snapping it's jaws in anger as it backed up. It hissed slightly, and began circling Diruak from a distance, the long nails of its feet clicking on the stone work with each step. (20)

A subtle scent of sage blew into the moonlit courtyard, along with a soft feminine chuckle.

The gargoyle screached like a cat as the wings sliced into it's arm and shoulder. It pulled back toward a corner growling as it moved into a crouch debating it's moment of attack (6)

As the glowing orb detonated the second gargoyle was pushed back into the castle wall, with a crash of stone against stone. The face of it was almost gone, crumbled and burned away, but the black beady eyes snapped onto Diruak with the intent for blood. With clawed feet it pushed against the wall in a leap towards the Archangel, both claws and teeth aimed for his head. (10)

Ruby skipped the last two stairs, her bare white toes peeking out of the long blood silk dress that drooped in puddles around her. She smiled softly, the moonlight shining on her dimple, her face appearing even more pale than usual. She glanced up, her soft grey eyes looking for Arch's behind his sunglasses. "Sugar, feathers, Angel, love, you're hurtin' my pets."
