The large man holding on to his jacket threw Richard onto a nearby table. The table collapsed with a large crash under the impact. Richard groaned and tried to get up as he saw the men advancing on him with broken bottles. Not wanting to make any more of a seen than there already was, he grabbed a section of the broken table to use as a sheild while eging toward the door. Seemingly without warning, one of the men lunged at him with his broken bottle. Richard just managed to get the wood into the way of the bottle stopping it just inches from his chest. More men lunged at him, but now he was ready and he blocked them easily. He though he was protecting himself well, but then he felt a warm sensation on his right arm. Pain shot through his body and he almost didn't block one of his attackers, some one had sliced his arm!
The men no longer had any smashed bottles to attack him with seeing as how they were all stuck in his section of table, but they were still coming at him with fists, and one in the back was breaking more bottles. He had to get out... Richard ran for the door, but he was stopped by the big man who his ale had landed on. Thwack! Richard landed on the ground, his nose bleeding hard. The other men were coming for him. He backed away toward the fire place. What could he do?! They were going to kill him! "Spartacus please!" he cried going to pull out his sword, his last resort.
"WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS!!!!!!!" everyone stopped and looked at the screeching landlady, "I'LL HAVE NO FIGHTING IN MY TAVERN!!!" Richard quickly trust his sword back into its scabard.
"This dirt 'ere poured soup an' ale on me boot!!!" announced the big man.
"THAT'S NO EXCUSE!!!! ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL HIM?!"
"He was insultin' us an' the boss!"
"OUT! OUT! OUT OF MY TAVERN!"
"Now listen lady-"
"I WON'T HAVE ROUGH HOUSING SCUM IN MY TAVERN! I'LL GET THE SHERIFF!"
"Geez lady. Fine, we'll be goin'" he turned to his crew and thrust his chin toward th door.
"But boss!"
"Go on!" the big man's people all left the tavern, and he went over to Richard, "You'd best not forget ol' Simon Grale, I won't be forgetin' you boy, and this is for the cat!" he gave Richard a good hard kick in the leg.
"OUT!" screamed the land lady.Simon glared at Richard and with that, left the tavern.

"Don't you try and sneak away Sparticus!" the large woman lunged at Sparticus, who was attempting to work his way to a hiding place behhind the bar unseen, with surprising speed, "I know you had something to do with this." She held the cat up by the scruff of his neck, starring him down.
"I didn't do anything! I swear!" he cried, giving her the I'm-just-an-adorable-innocent-kitten face.
"Oh don't give me that crap," she said turning toward Richard, "Now young man, what has this troublesome cat been doing to you?"
"Uh, well... that is..." all his anger toward Sparticus had evaporated during the fight, and he didn't want to tell the woman how stupid he had actually been, "Well, um... I accidentally spilled my drink on that man and-"
"Ha! He smashed my soup into that man's leg and then he tried to pour his ale on me and missed on the man's boot!"
Richard's fury came boiling back, "That's because you were being a pompous jerk!"
"And you were being a complete moron," retorted the cat.
"Oh... Well fine, it doesn't really matter how it happened, but I do expect to be reimbersed for the table that was broken." the husky landlady eyed Sparticus as she said this.
"Yes, well..." started the cat.
"I don't have the money for that type of thing," said Richard.
"Fine then, I'll do it." Sparticus began hacking and coughing.
"Are you alright Sparticus?!" exclaimed a worried Richard, bending toward the cat.
He continued to gag, and with one last weeze and spit, Sparticus hacked up a wad of something nasty.
"That's nasty..." said Richard.
The land lady didn't even seem to notice the wad of hair and spit, she only had her eyes on the large gold coin Sparticus was pulling out of the muck. "Will this do?" Sparticus asked, holding the coin out in his teeth to the grasping hands of the woman.
"Yes..." she sigh taking the coin, and then pulling herself together she said, "Yes well, that will cover it I suppose." She turned to look at Richard again, "Ah! My boy-"
"Richard," he said.
"Richard. We best be cleaning that gash in your arm up before it gets infected!" she said, going over to examine his wound, "lucky it's not to deep."

((REVIVE THREAD! ^^))
"Thanks," Richard mumbled with a sheepish smile. "Umm...wait," he called as the landlady stalked off to the cabinet. "I didn't catch your name."
"Well, that'd be Ms. Heylen to most of the troublemaking folks that come along here, but it's Lucia to you," she said with a wink.
"R-r-right," Richard stuttered. He flushed with a bright red color when he noticed Sparticus rolling his eyes under a chair a few feet away. He could have sworn he heard the faint sound of cackling resonating from the devious little cat as well. "Well Lucia, I'm just a bit curious, but how is it that you can hear Sparticus here? The men that caused this whole mess from earlier---"
"I'm pretty sure the whole mess was all your fault Richie," Sparticus interupted with a sly grin.
Richard let the comment pass and continued. "Those men, they couldn't hear Sparticus. It would have saved me a heck of a lot of trouble if they could, but he seemed like an ordinary cat to them. An ordinary kitty, that is."
