Papina had to stop for a moment to try and get as much water out of her boots as she could. She didn't think that squishing around in her wet boots would be very silent. She watched what Mr. Mysterious did in the sand, and pressed as much of the map into her mermory as she could. She shoved her boots back on and went to checking and testing her weapons. The bow had managed to stay dry and could still be pulled back, and the arrows were nice and snug in their quiver. She was all set.

That didn't stop her from throwing Reign and Isdra pained looks, however. She'd never tried to actually hurt someone with her bow before, and this was a new, strange bow that had a different draw range then her old one. Hopefully she got used to it, and fast. She gulped deeply before letting her breath go slowly, trying to settle her nerves. They had to get Nara out, and get her (and them) out in one piece... or at least as many pieces as they came in with.

Reign was wondering why the man was moving oddly, when she saw the guard ahead. Oh. She watched as Mr. Mysterious counted down on his fingers, then quickly moved out to shoot at the guard. Seeing him motion her forward, Reign made sure she had a good grasp on her daggers as she ran forward, trying to outrun the guard's loading.

As Reign drew in closer, she swiped at the guard with the dagger in her tail. Her goal was to get him distracted with that so that she could use her new daggers and take him out.

Reign's rush caught the guard off balance, and he he barely blocked the swipe of a dagger with his gun. Unfortunately for him, the man had turned his back to the source of the original attack. Papina's arrow hit the man in the shoulder, burying deep. Stumbling forward he fell awkwardly. Surprisingly enough, the man had actually fainted from the single arrow. Apparently he had a low pain tolerance. Within moments the poison on the dart would begin to work and the group would have one less guard to worry about.

Mr. Mysterious swept forward to the unconsious guard. Snapping the arrow off close to the wound, he turned the man over slightly and began to search for keys. Finding them he handed them to Papina, with a muttered, "Good job." Then he packed the arrow wound and proped the man up next to the door. This time he gestured the girls to go ahead of him.

Papina nodded an affirmative to the compliments she got as she took the keys and pocketed them. She fingered the remaining arrows, hoping she had enough as she silently followed Mr. Mysterious. Now if only that was the only guard... Shooting against targets like straw bales was one thing, living targets such as that guard? It was something to think about as they headed farther in.

Reign waited for the ranged attackers to send in their arrows and darts and then headed in with Isdra at Mr. Mysterious' signal. The chimp girl headed for the nearest guard that hadn't been hit, swinging in with a similar attack to earlier. Her tail lashed out at the guard and she brought the daggers in her hands up, ready to zap the man when she got the chance.

The battle was short lived. Though most of the guards were bulging with muscles, the girls (inexperienced as they were) had a large tactical advantage. They had brains. Between the two ranged and two short the guards were all unconsious within a matter of moments. It wasn't without price though, Reign had a gash along her arm where a guard had managed to pull a knife on her. Papina's ivy leaf was torn at the top where a gun had knicked it.

Mr. Mysterious however, had a large hole in his right sleeve where a bullet had pierced it. Peeking throught the hole was a wink of silver and red. Clasping a hand over the sleeve he glanced around the corridors, waiting for the girls to choose which one to check first.

A small whimper forced itself past Papina's tightly-pressed lips. Owwwww... It took great effort not to raise a hand to try and feel out the damage. For all she knew, that could make it worse. She looked at all the doors, wondering which to try first. She finally went to the nearest and pressed an ear against it, listening for what - if any - sounds were coming from the other side.

Reign walked over to where Papina was leaning against a door. The chimp girl motioned for her friend to move back and she opened the door, ready to defend herself, just in case...
