I don't care what genre a song or band is in and long and I like it so Green Day is under My Favorite Band genre xd

I read that it is pop/punk in loads of magazines. The hell with it, they are good at what they do despite having confusion amongst their fans.

no not really, alt is short for alternative as in alternative to the mainstream and green day are mainstream so certainly arent alt.

My best friend thinks that Green Day is happy punk like NFG, Simple Plan and GC , and he's a little bit into Green Day, but STUPID! no........but if you tell him that Blink 182 is happy punk he KILLS you.
