Yeah I get what your saying so when a human on earth is born with a power. The Demon comes up and outs a spell on them or plants a seed? The whole controling this is so confusing to. I remember in episode Simon Said(with the twins) one of them said he saw some that the demon showed him something into the future. I'm guessing it had something to do with the 'future' plan and he liked what he saw and he knew that all the people around him had powers so he figured that maybe that was the right side to go on.
There is also this think so what if the whole YED attacking was just showy. He doesn't even do anything to the kids. Just kills the mother the one person that could get in the way of his plans(the person who could influence him over all other). They already had the powers but he made it seem like that he is the one that gave it to them. So when they are only and they realize that they don't belong he shows them a picture of the future and like I said before think that is they way to go.
Also(I know I can just keep going) when the people find out they do have powers what if that is what is making them evil. Just think about how money and power corrupts men and things. So what if they people with the gifts go through the same things and think that they are above it all.
Let that stew for a while xD!!
Hmm.... so yah.. along those lines, in the finale Ava was able to control demons.. makes me wonder if she would ever have been powerful enough to control the YED itself.... And she started off with the same power as Sam... maybe one day he could just control all the demons.. make them do his bidding and he would turn evil.... EEEHEHEH....

I donno if they even really touch on Sam's abilities so far in S3.. and that makes me mad... I wanna see more of what he can do.. it'd be cool if he could be a spoon bender and totally in control of his powers..End spoilers:
