Are you sure these sites are safe? Because I've heard of these things many times, but I've never completely trusted them. I'm worried about it like totally screwing up my game, or even worse, giving me a virus. umm if you have an old computer, you might want to check the polygon count on each item. they may make your game lag, but that's it. you can easily delete them in bodyshop, or download delphy's
download organizer which will help you keep track of your downloads. i really don't know anything about polygon counts though.
sweatdrop sims2pack clean installer is also really good for checking hacks, etc.
the only thing that's ever messed with my game is mailbox recolors, and that just made the mailbox hack stop working, and i actually had to go through every dlc on the sims 2 startup menu (where it asks you if you want to enable or disable CC).
also, you game WILL lag for a short time (5 minutes usually for me) after downloading multiple CC.
if you ever need help figuring out how to download anything or what program to use, just send me a pm or post or something. i like to think i've become pretty decent with downloading sims 2 stuff.
4laugh here's a couple more sites (all of the sites i listed are safe, but use clean installer to double check):
Six Six Sims for 'alternative' clothes.
Fabulous Sims for cute clothes.
Adele has really cute stuff, i like about 85% of it, especially the 'antoinette' hair.
Steampunk Sims 2 has links to a lot of REALLY good steampunk sims 2 downloads.
the
wicked nouk family site's on the front page, but the link on the front page doesn't work. it's one of my favorites. the monthly aspiration ones are really good, especially the steampunk and post apocalyptic posts.
Sims2Graveyard has stuff from sites that have been deleted, including Helga.
oh, and CC shows up best when you change your graphics quality to high in the options menu.
