Valens
This was another of those times that he realized that trying everything that one saw on the TV was no doubt a bad idea, especially in the instance when it ended up with him having to go shopping. He hated it more then anything since only one store held his interest and that was the one he got games from, video games were the best! This place though was the worst... clothing shopping... just because he'd seen and wanted to test to see if he could flex and rip out of a shirt like the guy on wrestling he got in trouble and was stuck getting 'new cloths that fit better' as his mother had told him.
He'd tried his best but there was no talking her out of it even when he'd told her that it wasn't that they were to small it was that he had been trying to tear them. She didn't seem to believe him... though the fact that his pants look like capris and his shirt sleeves were above his wrists didn't help his arguments in the least. Damn but he was growing to fast and found himself often back in the same, awful predicament that was finding new stuff to wear. He didn't care what he worse so long as it matched relatively well enough and it didn't smell to bad or have to many holes.
Valens gave a sighing sound, "Save me Ellie?" He asked of the Silver that was walking alongside of him.
She looked him over, taking in his clothing that consisted of grass stains, torn knees, and a shirt that she thought used to be white but now seemed a sort of light brown then gave a snort and a shake of her head, no... no it would seem that fresh clothing were in order.
"Traitor." He muttered then found himself pulled along by his mother, not that it would be hard to keep from being pulled as he was already almost as tall as her, stronger and heavier, but it wouldn't be nice to fight with her since she was his Mom.
"It won't be as bad as all that, at least I am taking you out this time instead of your dad." Lamiah told him.
She had a point there...

Fleur
Fleur squealed as he looked over himself in a mirror, admiring the dress he was holding up to his shoulders. It was designed after the Winter Rose dress, but it was a lovely lavender color which, of course, was his favorite color. "What do you think, Dawnie?" he asked his dragon.
Aube en Argent let out a pathetic keening noise as she balanced a shopping bag on her nose. She really wished her boy would lose his obsession with shopping or at least find a different kind of shopping obsession. Why could he not be into normal boy things like sports, video games, and mud? No, it was dresses, jewelry, and shoes! If she had not seen him in the bathtub with nothing on before, she would have wondered if he was secretly a girl.
"Oh, quit whining," Fleur admonished her, putting the dress back where he found it. "You're a girl - you're supposed to like shopping." He ignored the exasperated look Argent gave him and proceeded to the next rack of clothes.

Valens
Valens found himself face to face with a rack of cloths, starring at them rather dumbly. His mother said she would go and check the pants racks and leave him to pick out his shirts. He reached a hand out to poke at them as if they were prone to violent attacks before he set to searching them. Half of them he didn't get what the jokes on them, a quarter had to bright of eye burning colors, and the rest... some of them he found to be acceptable. He held on up, "Check it out."
The shirt simple said: Insert Something Witty Here. Valens was soon laughing as if it were the funniest thing on the face of the planet, "Need this one." He said, then went searching again.
Ellie gave a shake of her head, why couldn't he get something nice? Something a bit more...dressy? Like those guy on the Spy movie, what was he called? Bond? She gave a shake of her head then blinked happening to catch the sight of Silver across a few aisles. She pushed up onto her back legs using Valens to prop herself up on to get a better look, wasn't that Argent?
"Greetings fellow Silver!" She called out to the other dragon, finally some company that was of the dragon race. She had never felt so happy!
Val gave his dragon an odd look when she was suddenly leaning on him and yelling across the store, "What are you..." He turned and tilted his head, "AH! I see! PHIL!" He lifted his arms and flailed them wildly to get the attention of the skunk boy his shirt doubling as a flag.

Fleur
Fleur's ears perked up at the noise, and he looked around for a moment before smiling when he recognized the owner of the voice. "Valens!" he replied, waving back to him. The skunk quickly made his way over to the friend he had not seen since the dragon informational class, and Argent was no less pleased than Ellie to see another silver. "It's good to see you," Fleur continued once he no longer had to yell. Not once did he think that Valens already knew he was a boy, so his new attire might confuse the other boy. Every other male Fleur had met since acquiring his new favorite outfit had been tricked into thinking he was a girl.
Argent threw down the shopping bag on her nose and raised a claw in greeting to Ellie. "Another dragon," she sighed in relief. "You have no idea how relieved I am!"

Valens
Valens grinned some, finally someone else to talk to other then the mother that had drug him here and a dragon that didn't talk back aside from in a language that was above him at the moment, "You get stuck shopping too?" He asked, "Maybe with your help I can sneak off. There are so many other stores that I'd rather go too, I heard a new fighting game is out but I'm not even allowed to look until I get all new cloths..."
Surely since Fleur was a guy too he didn't want to be here, maybe he'd gotten forced here as well by his mother? He looked around a moment, he didn't see any other adults at the moment aside from his own mother and those that worked here. Excellent! Escape should be easy enough given there was only one person here!
Ellie gave a smile, "I can guess." She said, looking over at her boy then gave a shake of her head, he was such a mess it was quite embaressing to have her friend and fellow dragon see him. Argents boy looked rather prettied up though, how lucky.

Fleur
Fleur blinked at Valens and tilted his head before replying, "No, I'm just shopping on my own - I was thinking of getting a new dress." He twitched his ears and looked over Valens thoughtfully, noting that he really did need new clothes. "I could help you pick something out!" he offered, swaying his tail up and down happily. If there was one thing he liked more than shopping for himself, it was shopping for someone else.
Argent gave her boy a pitiful look, her hopes that shopping was over crashing around her feet. "I'm so tired of shopping day after day after DAY!" she whined to the other dragon, thankful she now had someone to express herself with. "It's all he ever does, and all he ever buys is clothes only girls should wear!" She looked meaningfully at the long blue skirt he now wore.

Valens
Valens seemed a little confused for a moment and his ears flicked back and forth as he mulled over the skunk's words. He seemed to be stuck on the wrong part of the it though and what he should find strange he seemed for the moment to miss... so then Phil wanted to be out shopping? Why would anyone want to shop? It was a rather boring way to waste... woah wait a second, "What? Yes!" He said, nodding his head rapidly. Phil could help him pick out clothing and then he could make his way to more amusing stores!
Ellie looked Fleur over more closely then blinked, oh my she'd not even really realized that the skunk was wearing girl's clothing only the fact that he looked well... clean, "Yours at least seems to understand what soap and water is for." She said, laughing a bit, "And do you know how hard it is to chase after a boy that has the directional sense of a rock day in and day out? Exhausting..."

Fleur
Fleur squealed in delight and immediately went back to the rack, looking for nice clothes for Valens. He quickly returned with several shirts of varying shades of purple and blue along with a few pairs of pants to go with them. When it came to shopping, he was like a lion after an antelope.
Argent glanced up at her boy when he returned and sighed, "Sometimes, I think I'd prefer that. Especially since he makes me carry around most of his shopping bags. That can get very tiresome."

Valens
Valens looked over what was brought over to him and gave the cloths a strange look, "Ummm..." He wondered if he should asked, though as was usual with him the moment the though came to him it exited his mouth, "Isn't purple a girl color?"
He didn't know if he wanted to wear girls colors... it seemed to dawn on him then as he thought about that what Fleur was wearing. His ears turned forward, "Hey... wait a second... Are you wearing a skirt Phil?" He asked, a bit confused. Why would a boy be wearing a skirt?
Ellie swished her tail, "I guess children are always trying to do the opposite of what others think they should?" She made it sound as if she were so much older then Valens when she was actually younger, none the less she could feign wisdom and old age well.

Fleur
"Purple's the color of royalty!" Fleur responded with a sagely nod. That was his argument whenever anyone questioned his taste in colors regardless of the fact that he was far from royalty. "But if you don't like purple, they had these same shirts in red too!" He looked down at his skirt though, admiring it. "You like it? It's so comfortable, and it keeps me cool in this hot weather." He smiled up at Valens. "Since my fur's black, I overheat easily."
"You can say that again," Argent sighed and shook her head. "Really, that IS why he got it to begin with, but it's just progressed to an obsession with skirts and dresses from there...I don't know what to do about him. He's going to get himself beat up again..." Argent frowned. That just slipped out.

Valens
"Color of royalty." He murmured, then gave a smile and nodded, "Yeah, red is good that is one of my favorite colors. Red and silver, some blues but not as much as the other two." He said, then listened closely to the explanation for the reasoning behind the skirts. Ahhh, comfort reasons he could understand, it didn't sound from what Fleur had said like he wanted to be a girl or anything that would be more strange, "Ahhh, I don't know if it would really work for me. Maybe one of them kilt things."
Fleur seemed small enough but him running around in a skirt would look plain silly.
Ellie tilted her head to the side at the comment that seemed to spill forth accidently from the other Silver and gave a glance over at to the skunk. She had no idea why anyone would want to harm the boy even if his mode of dress was a bit strange, "I assure you he is safe with my boy, Valens plays a bit rough and breaks things on accident because he doesn't know his own strength but he is careful with living things." It was the most assurance she could give as she knew she couldn't tell who or what else may cross paths with the skunk only that Valens was a good boy... if a dirty one...

Fleur
"Okay!" Fleur beamed and handed Valens the blue clothes he already picked out then rushed off to replace the purple clothes with red, holding up one of the shirts to him when he came back. "This will look really good on you, especially with your hair up!"
Argent nodded. "He said they met before we hatched in a candy store. Though he spent about half an hour going on about what a wonderful tail he has..." She shook her head. That was another thing which exasperated her sometimes about her boy. She honestly could not see what was so wonderful about tails that made him want to run his hands over every one he saw.

Valens
Valens gave a nod, that was much better. Red was a color that he didn't mind wearing since it went well with his natural three colors white, brown, and black. He looked the clothing over, it looked nice enough, no doubt stuff that would make his mother happy to see. His tail swished a bit and he looked at his hair which had a few braids in it giving it a half done look, "Up, huh?" He asked, that meant sitting still longer didn't it?
"Wait until your child sees it full of dirt, leaves, and sticks I bet he won't like it as much then." Ellie joked then looked over to watch as the smaller boy helped hers to find nice clothing, maybe Fleur would be a good influence and get her boy cleaned up a bit?
That would be nice.

Fleur
"Oh, yes," Fleur said with a nod. "A ponytail would look great!" He lowered his gaze to Valens' tail. "And maybe some matching red beads in your tail." He would love nothing more than to put those in himself, but he was greatly resisting the urge to run his fingers through it, an accomplishment for Fleur.
Argent rolled her eyes. "You don't know my skunk - he'd probably rather it be like that so he'd have an excuse to brush it."
Argent rolled her eyes. "You don't know my skunk - he'd probably rather it be like that so he'd have an excuse to brush it."
Valens
Valens couldn't help but laugh, the idea of a horse with a pony tail struck him as funny. He lifted his hand to his hair and ran his fingers through the loose part of it, "I might try it at least once so that I can say I had a pony tail on my head and a horse tail on my backside." He told Fleur before laughing again, unable to help it.
Ellie gave a bit of a giggle, "Sounds promising, maybe your boy can clean mine up a bit." She knew that if that were true though Valens would need to do something in return so as not to seem rude, she wasn't sure what he could do though aside from dragging Fleur outside to play in the dirt? Her long tail set to swishing as she seemed to be thinking on that idea, Valens did need more socializing he spent to much time in front of his video games or running at random and trying to get lost.

Fleur
Fleur's blue eyes lit up at the prospect, and he could not stop himself from asking, "Could I do it?" Valens had the most hair of any other D-Corp child he had met so far, and the skunk would have loved to be able to "play" with it in addition to Valens' tail if he could get away with it.
"Maybe," Argent mused, watching the two boys quietly. "Fleur could definitely use a friend other than me." It was rare Fleur ran into another child from D-Corp, especially one he already knew. A regular friend would do him a world of good in the silver dragon's opinion.

Valens
"Huh? Oh... Sure." He said, then shook his head, "Will have to take out the braids first though." This seemed added like an after though, they were kinda in the way for a pony tail he figured. He lifted his hands and set to taking out the bands that held them and then set to picking them apart, "If it were up to me I'd leave my hair to do whatever you know? But then again my Mom says if it were up to me I'd run around naked and leave in a tree or something like that."
"Good, good. He can have Valens for a friend then!" As if it were up to them to decide, not that it seemed as if Val and Fleur weren't doing well enough on their own but their meetings were random, they, herself and Argent, had to make sure they played more didn't they? Became good friends!

Fleur
Fleur blinked at that statement and giggled at the image. "I can't imagine you living in a tree, but then again, I've never climbed a tree before." He reached up to help Valens with the braids, his ears perking up as he ran his fingers through Valens' hair to work out any knots before he set to pulling it into a ponytail, delighting in it the whole time.
"If Valens still wants him," Argent muttered warily, watching as her boy's eyes glazed over with delight in something so trivial and...almost disturbing. "I need to learn English soon so I can tell Stevie he needs professional mental help." This simply could not be normal, not for a boy.

Valens
Valens waited for his hair to be done before looking over at Fleur with wide eyes, "You have never climbed up a tree?" He asked, sounding rather in awe of that idea, "I admit with feet like mine its a challenge but its a lot of fun. You should try it sometime."
He tilted head from side to side making the pony tail flop back and forth, "This is a lot quicker then braids, I think I like it." He decided after a moment then gave Fleur a smile, "Thanks." It wasn't in his eyes or face either which was another added bonus!
Ellie watched the boys for a while, shaking her head they did seem rather engrossed in what they were doing didn't they? Well at least they were getting along right? She sat back on her hauches then looked over at Argent, "Learning that language would prove useful. Maybe I could help to teach Valens directions then, or ask his parents to put a bell on him at least."

Fleur nodded and smiled, happy Valens liked what he did with it. "No, I haven't," he answered. "All the trees around Bah's mansion are too tall." He tilted his head, wondering now what he was missing out on. Was climbing trees really that fun? The skunk's gaze drifted back down to Valens' tail which he had not yet had a chance to get hold of.
Argent snickered at the image of Valens wearing a bell around his neck. "Aren't cows the ones that wear bells?" she wondered though it would serve the same function. "Then again, it's not like it matters as long as it helps you keep up with him."

Valens
"I bet we could find a tree thats climbable if we looked." He said, tilting his head to the side. As he thought on it his tail seemed to swish back and forth again as if it were tempting Fleur. Val then snapped his fingers, "Ah-Ha! You know there are trees in the food court and in the courtyard of this place." Yes! They could climb either of those sets of trees! Lucky!
"Normally but I figure if it works with them no reason not try it with Valens." He may not be a cow but he was the master when it came to vanishing. If she were blessed with a good sense of smell... Eesh she hated to even think of where he could get off too.

Fleur
"There...are...?" Fleur murmured in response, trying to keep his brain where it belonged as he was mesmerized by Valens' tail. "We could get something to eat while we're there," he offered though he had forgotten, at this point, that they were supposed to be clothes shopping.
"Very true," Argent agreed, nodding. "Maybe you could also insist on putting him on a leash. Or, in his case, a harness and reins."
"Very true," Argent agreed, nodding. "Maybe you could also insist on putting him on a leash. Or, in his case, a harness and reins."
Valens
"Yep, pretty sure. They have birds that sneak into the mall to so that is why I noticed the trees since the birds go from them to the tables to steal left over food." He said, then his stomach gave a grummbling sound as Fleur mentioned food as if on que, he gave a laugh and flushed, "Food sounds good according to my stomach. Should bring these cloths to my mom then we can go."
With Fleurs help he'd gotten what he hoped was enough to pass as him trying at the shopping thing so that they could go eat food and climb trees!
Ellie couldn't help but giggle at that mental picture, "Strap him to a cart then and he would be quite useful I bet." No doubt a good thing Valens couldn't understand her at this point, then again he was the one often mentioned wanted to be as strong as the Budweiser horses and they pulled wagons.

Fleur
"Okay." Fleur smiled and gathered up the clothes he had picked out, letting Valens lead him to his mother. "There's a bakery in the food court too," the skunk added, developing a plan in the back of his head. His memory was like a steel trap albeit very selective in what it chose to trap, and right now, he remembered Valens going on about apples in the candy store where they first met. Maybe he could bribe Valens into letting him play with his tail with an apple fritter...
Argent rolled her eyes. "Strap him to a cart, and Fleur will have him carting him around all over the mall." Sad but true.

Valens
Valens looked at his mother when they got to where she was with a few pairs of pants over her arm, "Hey, Mom! Phil and I are gonna go to the food court and get something to eat." He said when he the moment he was in earshot.
Lamiah looked at her son then passed him to where his friend was standing, they had cloths? One could see the surprise on her face, "Well... since you got some cloths picked out I don't see the problem in you taking a break." She said, then dug out some money and held it out, "Here you go, for food and whatever else."
Valens gave a happy sound and took the cloths that Fleur had and handed them off to his mother, stuffed the money into his pocket then turned to Fleur, "Shall we go then?" He asked, more then ready himself.
Ellie gave another laugh, tail swishing... then she pushed to her four feet, "Looks like they are moving off somewhere, we should follow before Valens tries to lead."

Fleur
Fleur smiled politely to Valens' mother, a brief pang of jealousy crossing his face. Stevie hated shopping unless it was for mechanical parts. Chrysler hated leaving the mansion at all. The only one he could go shopping with was Argent who also hated it but tagged along anyway because she hated letting him out of her sight more.
"Definitely," Argent agreed, standing back up and grabbing the shopping bag she had thrown down, rushing to catch up with her boy. He may have been bizarre, and she did not agree with everything he did, but she still adored him and knew how much he needed her.

Valens
Valens turned and was about ready to lead the way, taking in a few steps in an arbitrary direction when Ellie reached out to catch hold of him by the back of his shirt and gave him a tug. He looked at her with wide, questioning eyes and with a sigh she turned again before looking in another direction.
"Ahh? Oh! That way then?" He asked of her and turned at a fourty-five degree angle and started to walk again, once more 'leading' the way though now he had Ellie to keep them on the right track.
"Children," Ellie sighed again, acting once again so very ancient.

Fleur
Fleur giggled again at the exchange between Valens and Ellie but stayed mostly behind Valens, letting him take the lead and using that as an opportunity to grab at his tail every time it lashed close enough to him. He was determined to grab it at least once before they parted ways.
"Maybe you should get him a compass to go with his harness, cart, and bell," Argent snickered, walking between Ellie and Fleur.

They made it out of the store and from there it would be easier to find the food court even for one with Valens' directional sense because the placed smelled good. The horse boy's ears flicked back and forth and he turned towards where the good smells were coming from, "Alright, anywhere in particular that you want to eat?" He asked, Fleur had mentioned the bakery but they would need to get real food before desserts if they didn't he was sure that his mother would know.
Ellie tilted her head to the side as if she were considering that idea then shook her head, "I'm sure if I did that he would end up getting lost anyway because he had his map upside down..."

Fleur
Fleur shook his head then lifted his nose, closing his eyes to smell the air. "I'll eat anything," he stated while enjoying the scents of the food court. He loved the smell of food cooking, especially meat, but he really had no preference as far as what he ate. Provided it was not snails again. That he could do without.
Argent snickered again. "And my skunk, on the other hand, knows the mall like the back of his hand," she sighed. "Though I can guarantee he would not know his way through the remainder of the city if you paid him to be a guide...only where there are places to shop."

Valens
"Pizza Place then?" Valens said excitedly before heading over to an Italian place, it had all sorts of good food there. He got closer to the glass so that he could look through it and then ordered himself a large slice of the cheese pizza and a salad with lots of extra cucumbers, along with the one thing above all others that he didn't need, a Mountain Dew, "Don't tell my mom I was drinking this." He whispered to Fleur then laughed.
"We are a pair of brave souls aren't we?" Ellie said to Argent then grinned before stepping closer to Valens, tugging on his shirt once more before making hungry eyes at the overloaded with meat flavored pizza.
Valens gave it a looked, was for a moment a bit queasy looking before ordering two slices of it for Ellie, meat wasn't high on the list of things that the horse liked. Ellie was a big fan though and he didn't have any desire to say 'No' or seem like he was starving his poor dragoness.

Fleur
Fleur's tail perked up at the prospect of pizza. He had not had pizza in quite a while. "That sounds great!" he said, following Valens to the Italian place to decide what he wanted. He laughed at Valens' request though, reassuring him that he would not tell. The skunk got himself a large slice of pepperoni and some bread sticks with a cherry Coke to drink, ordering Argent two slices of the same pizza Ellie wanted.
"Indeed we are," Argent agreed, her mouth watering at the smell of the pizza her boy was getting for her. "Personally, I'm in it for the food. He feeds me chocolate." She adored her boy just the way he was, but she definitely enjoyed how he spoiled her as well if her emerald pendant was any indication.

Valens
Valens got his over loaded tray after paying then looked around for a good place for him and Fleur to sit, someplace that would be out of the way but with enough room for the two dragoness to sit comfortably as well, "Hrm... no doubt a table on the far side would be best." He told Ellie, after all one side of the table was open space in front of where some stores were.
She nodded though she was currently paying more attention to the tray that held her food then she was the words, "Heh, yeah. They do give out good food where I live too. No doubt they think I deserve it since I watch their boy for them." She ducked into a low crouch and started to stalk after Valens and the tray.

Fleur
Fleur carried his tray, sucking down the cherry Coke as he walked. He forgot how thirsty he was as he was shopping. "I haven't had pizza in so long! We've been living off cheeseburgers and Chinese takeout for way too long." Fleur sat down at the table Valens suggested and gave Argent her pizza who had been following him the whole way bouncing along on her back feet like a dog.
