I think affinity has a very good chance at regionals. I mean..it can easily beat Tooth now that most of the artifact hate is gone.

Are you kidding me?...let me see a affinity decklist that works...Also, id like to announce that I took first place at FNM yeterday with the tooth deck i posted earlier. But because SOK wasent legal, i used birds instead of scout...and i change the sideboard a bit...(Btw, this months promo fact or fiction is nice!...shiny...I like shiny... xp ) I did see a deck that is VERY rogue and i bet you would love it metaljesse. But i dont want to post it here because i dont want too many people finding out about it. I played it on MWS. It beat me 2-0. I am scared of its apperance at regionals. If it shows up...all the decks people have listed or suggested on here will be screwed...

I really don't like mirrodin, because of Tooth, Cloud, and Affinity. No fun to play, or play against.

Anyway, this is a Gifts Ungiven deck that uses Hana Kami to fetch it's silver bullets from the graveyard, then you play them, splicing the Soulless Revival to get back your Kami.

That way, you get a ton of virtual card advantage by re-using the same spells over and over. The reason the deck looks so schizo is that you need a lot of different targets for the Gifts (only 1 card of a certain name). Usually the first gifts is Hana Kami, Stir the Grave, Soulless Revival, and a random arcane spell. Second gifts is either more arcane, or my beatsticks (Kokusho, Keiga, Kodama, Meloku).

When it works, it works wonderfully, but my main problem is getting the right mana for the jorb. Typically I need double green, double black, and my splash colors for the deck to work right, and my mana fixers like to hide in the deck for some reason. I dunno, I'm still learning the deck, as this is my adaptation of the deck that won pro-tour Phildelphia. Mine tries to be able to handle Swords, Jitte, Tooth, and all of White weenie at the same time, but I don't know if that's possible.

I'm just gonna play the jank, and have fun with it. It's a cool deck to play (when it works right) and is definitely something different from the norm.

Allow me to share some enlightenment on another new archetype seen in MTGO and when I playtested for regionals with some of my friends (Who happen to have top 8'd at Virginia States ie, Kenny Hardcastle and Brian Lowe) since honestly regionals will be my first MAJOR tournament I can't say I know I'll do well because I don't know. But I do know the tech of monoblack rat control. yes Rat control. Laugh all you want but leme give you a shake down of this thing (Can't find decklist yet) but imagine at around 4th turn you never get to draw again and they're pounding you with a 3/3 regenerating beatstick? how might you ask? In mono black? Theres a comman in darksteel called Chittering Rats (Crack Rats among me and my friends) and another very very good uncommon called Aether vial. In saviors theres a 3/3 black ogre for 3 called soul collecter that makes you return a black creature to your hand every turn. simple what do you return? Chittering Rats. During their draw step after they draw the card (we triple checked this ok so don't give me any s**t about it) each player gets priority to play instants and activated abilities before main phase begins. since it isn't very likely your opponent would have anything to play he passes and you vial out chittering rats. Making sure this trick works even if they dont have a hand you just wait till they draw and make them put it back. It's total lockdown in mono black which has enough answers for whatever they might have (ie Rend Flesh, Echoing Decay) AND to solve the problem of shackles and other disgusting artifacts what does this mono black deck run!? City of brass and tendo ice bridge. For what? Viridian Shamen. (which can also be vialed out) And BOOM you win. Using ninjutsu also (yes laugh) to return things like chittering rats and/or ravenous rats makes this deck sick. Seriously try checking it out. It sounds like a piece of junk but I played against it during testing and it eats blue alive, tooth and nail is nothing with no hand, white weenie couldn't handle the creature control and it beat mono red. While red was the hardest matchup it can control and eat red with correct sideboarding 3nodding
