It’s episodes like this that make me wonder why I continue to watch Smallville.

True, Clark has taken the first steps to his destiny—but it’s been six f*cking seasons, COME ON!

He’s gone from baby to adolescence to idiot and back again. One episode he’s mature, the next, he ain’t.

And I think he was right about what he did to Chloe. I doubt she would want to know about what that freak was capable of. Would you like to hear your friend recount having to see white plastic bags shifting as the spineless remains of men and woman slosh within? Or perhaps you’d rather hear of how a handprint/scorpion symbol was seared into the back of a criminal? “What’ll it be, mam? Door number one or door number two? I assure you, they’re both equally shocking.”

But it is true that heroes need to be saved sometimes as well—which reminds me of what Mary Jane said to Peter in the S3 trailer! That’s a must watch movie!

In the episode, Clark was a guest star. The main character of the flippin show was a guest star. Sad really.

The basis upon which Lex and Lana’s relationship is built upon is so ridiculous and shaky that at any moment it could crumble—“watch out below!”—but it won’t. Want to know why it won’t? Because Lana is untouchable.

Yes, the woman who was stabbed with a knife thingy by Zod and walked away to go commit attempted murder, yes, she is untouchable. People are saying they haven’t seen Wonder Woman on Smallville yet? Well, here’s a clue: the real identity of the heroine is Lana “Sl*t” Lang”.

And I am right in my view of Lana. Look at how she so arrogantly abuses Clark—“I don’t know how I could have ever loved you”—but gets so mad and sad and b*tchy when others spazz on her.

Lexana has no purpose other than to disgust the viewers and hopefully as a final push for Lex to embrace his darkness.

But really, at this point, I could care less about him: if he keeps Lana away from Clark, thus leaving him free from her "tentacles of oppression", then I’m all for it. But no more lies, really.

...

This is not aimed at anyone, mind you. Just a general rant, ya know. Ho hum.
Ya, I knew I hear the heroes need to be saved somtimes from somewhere...Now i know it was from spiderman razz . After all, Gough and Miller wrote spiderman 2. I agree with your point about Clark and lexana but not chloe. Part of her character is being curious and wanting to know everything thats going on...She doesn't like to be left in the dark. And hello, Wall of werid? In high school she was obsessed with these meteor freaks.

I don't know if anyone's realized this, but it's funny that the 'good', or dare I say 'great' episodes this season, were the ones in which The Green Arrow was present. Whenever he's present, Clark just seems to have much more focus and doesn't look like a loner so much.

For some reason, whoever the guest star is for its respective season always makes the episodes worth watching. Let's use Brainiac from season 5 as an example. For many fans he was one of the reasons they even continued watching it. However, exception has to be given to part 2 of that season's finale, which couldn’t be more rushed if they even had less time to. That was a disappointment also.

Lana you couldn't be more right about the Cyclops comparison XD, and also about a majority caring less about his 'totally over the top' proposal or Lana's response. I have a feeling I know what the answer will be anyway, so now my main focus is on Clark and other couples in the show now. Mainly Loliver^^.
Braniac had a pretty boring personality...The people that watched smallville because of him were probably all extreme buffy/angel fanatics. Plus, Green Arrow was in most of the episodes this season.

I hated that Clark was soo easily taken advantage of. I mean don't you have superspeed? Superhearing? Learn to fricken use them. Again, you CAN fly. Would you like some cheese with that whine clark? cheese_whine

I know! scream I'm just like "what the hell?!?" Bataista shouldn't have been able to sneak up on Clark, no way... He should have fried that freak with some well placed heat-vision blasts. Roasted criminal, anyone?

They hurt Clark so much... Flip, would it be a good idea for Clark to start carrying Red-K? cry

SaberFireTiger

I can understand how this episode would be the last straw for a lot of watchers. Clark was in this episode for about as long as Cyclops was in X3.

*Blinks* That is so true... Scott... He got OWNED! o_O

SaberFireTiger

Guess we will have to wait til Dec. 7th for the next episode. And 2007 to see the answer to the proposal... not that anyone here cares for that part.

I do care about the proposal... Somewhat. I like Lex. He needs to be happy. So if Lana makes him happy... *Groans* Then so be it.

Nonetheless, even if Smallville had an episode that was so pathetic--ex: cows grazing for an hour--I would still watch it.

...

Well, at least half of it. sweatdrop

I'm a fan... A Smallville druggie... ninja
Wait, the next episode isn't for half a month? gonk I wouldn't watch Smallville if it were cows grazing for an hour... confused

Same. Since I started watching the show, I grew incredibly fond of Lex. He was pretty much the main reason I watched (although later on I grew attached to the rest of the cast as well). His screwed up life makes me really sad, and I always want good things to happen to him. Well... Lexana has made him really happy and adorable, so I'm cool with it.

Fun fact! I actually dislike Lana! I found her to be really boring. But now that's she's with Lex, there is an interesting twist to her character. He tends to bring that out in people 0:
Ugh, i dislike the lana this season..All lana has been used for this season is for lexana Drama drama drama...I liked her better in previous seasons.

OMG, seriously, I am only going to say this one more time.
Martian Manhunter's favorite snack is oreos. That is his own little signature. His calling card. It is his thing that lets people know that he was there and that is is him!

And, another note. The answer to the proposal will be in January, NOT Dec. 7th.

I know why a lot of people hate Lana. She is agitating sometimes to tell the truth. Oh noes! I said truth, never say that word!! I mean sure, Lana has this whole thing about truth and honesty but it gets really really really really repetitive repetitive. Still, I prefer the new more evil Lana over the "omg clark save me!" Lana.

Lex is happy and that is a good thing but that will drop just as fast as Enron's stock did when new events come to turn. I like Lexana because for once both people are actually happy in the relationship... even if it is for a brief moment but they are the only real couple. Real as in existent and actually believable. That means they have actual problems and shocker, work through them like people should. Here's my rundown.

Clana - Fricken light switch that couple is, on and off on and off. Very disappointing.
Chlark - Clark is too blind to even notice so they are out the window as of now.
Clois - Not there yet... I mean how can they happen when he is still hung up on his ex honey?
Chlimmy - Cute I suppose but too ideal, no relationship is like that and if it is then it wont last long. Try to disprove this.
Loliver - Nice couple and I like them but I doubt it will last since there relationship is slightly parallel to Clana in that the guy is hiding his heroic lifestyle and the girl will always speculate. Though, Lois is better then Lana in that she is willing to get her hands dirty and do something.
What do you mean by the Clark Save me Lana? And lexana has been an on and off lightswitch to.

Lana always depended on Clark to save her from everything.

Lexana might have been on and off but they never officially broke up. Can't say the same for Clana.

A new episode does aire on Dec. 7th but the answer to the proposal will not be in it.

...

Wah? gonk

Wait a minute... Wouldn't that mean that Lex and Lana would be absent in that eppy? Seeing as how it was left with Lex proposing to Lana, then it makes sense…

Or Lana could be like “I need time to think”, so that in turn would conform with the idea that she’s not giving a definite yes or no.

Hmm…

Oh, and one theory that I saw over at a Smallville site I visit sometimes: After Batista was dead, Clark saw Martian Manhunter and then the Oreo… meaning that the Oreo is MM’s signature, right?

Ya still with me? blaugh

Well, in the loft—Clark’s loft—Chloe came by, yes, and when she left Clark found the Oreo…

Now, you see, could it be possible that Chloe was MM in disguise? I also heard someone else mention that one of MM’s powers is shape shifting—heck, even on Justice League, it is.

Possibility? I think so.

But are the producers/writers sneaky enough to do that? I doubt it… It requires a level of intelligence that they, at times, do not exhibit.

But that would be pretty cool if that theory was right!

Yup, shapeshifting is one of Martian Manhuter’s abilites.

Lookie at his abilities!!!

So the theory has some foundation then...? surprised

The MM doesn't even know Chloe...so I'm going to have to say No.

Ouch… Another one bites the dust. sweatdrop

Just realized that… So then I guess he—MM—was just stalking Clark? Like he was in the loft munching on an Oreo and then left?

Lol.... xd I doubt that either...It was probably just a sign left to show that MM was coming.

Hmm... Could be, could be.

Anyways, MM was mysterious in the eppy, so I wanna know more.

But one thing that has been bothering me: What happened to Lionel and the Kryptonian message he deciphered, "Power"? That gave me chills when I read it--but then it's like Smallville was hit by amnesia (yet again, I must add, probably the hundredth or so time) and they never mentioned it again.

That "power" message could lead up to so many things... I hope it just wasn't there as a fake tease...
