dogten kawaiibunny3 NamaeX kawaiibunny3 it's better than U.S Manga Corps, Funimation, Viz, 4kids, maybe even Media Blasters, in my opinion (that's like...half the anime industry i listed xd ) so, it could have been worse. like i said earlier, even if ADV makes a crummy dub, i atleast know the subtitles will be accurate (i hate bad subtitles) but this is a huge series ADV has just purchased, they need to make these episodes sell, ne? so of course they're going to do everything they can in order to make a good enough dub to make it sell (to both newbies and veterans to the series) It wouldn't have mattered if it went to FUNi instead of ADV because they're both in the same state. yeah, ok, they are, but i dont like FUNi that much, one big beef i have w/ them is that they dub the OP/ED songs too. i HATE when dubbers do that... but adv gave the best anime every bad doulb ...not really...Azumanga Daioh has a pretty good dub, so does Hare + Guu, Martian Successor Nadesico, Princess Tutu (w/ the exception of Ahiru), about 4 out of 5 of thier dubs are pretty good. but i guess we'll find out when Keroro Gunso hits the shelves next year.

Azumanga Daioh was some of their best work. Save for the fact that I wasn't fond of Osaka's kansai accent being dubbed as southern (I would have prefered one of those stereotypical new york accents myself), everyone sounded exactly as I expected them to. And Excel Saga was probably what got me into ADV's dubs in the first place. Not to sound rude, but you seem to be complaining for no real valid reason. You have the right to your opinion and all, that's fine, but you just keep pressing the same arguements on us over and over again, when we've already justified why we agree, and you've justified why you disagree. You're basically beating a dead horse at this point. neutral I'm not saying this long, silly debate wasn't fun, but it's getting incredibly redundant. Letting it rest is a good option.

I don't want to hear a "One Piece-style" rap, although I can't picture ADV ever doing that...

you guys are worrying to much, ADV wont do anything horrible
the only thing i'm worried about is all the wierd little endings like "de arimasu" and "desu" etc. cause american dubs, in general, dont....say them right sweatdrop like, the Di Gi Charat dub, they picked a horrendus VA who couldn't even say "nyo" (which is like half of Dejiko's dialouge) correctly.
so that part is what i'm a little concerned with voice acting wise.
how many episodes do u think they'll include for each DVD? since it's a long series, hopefully they'll cram on as many episodes they can(Funimation's Furuba had 7 episodes on 2of the 4 disks, hopefully ADV can do the same) . but more realistically speaking, probably 4 or 5.
