Here in Canada we are only up to volume 4....

in the US too. i'm from the US and they only have up to volume 4. I have 1,3 and 4 though. i need #2!! whee lol

I can't wait for the 9th book to come out! It getting very interesting : ) I hope this won't be a long one though.. if it ended up like X.. I'll go mad.

I love Tsubasa. I've read up to part of book 8 thanks to scanlations. I'm hoping I can go to J-town soon and buy the 8th so I don't have to wait. Fai and Kurogane are both my favorite in this manga and I like Syaoran's personality in Tsubasa better than in CCS. He's a lot nicer. It's so fun seeing all the characters from the other mangas in this one. I hope they crossover Lawful Drug and Wish soon. None of the characters from those mangas have showed up yet, not even in the background. I hope in the anime they gather up some of the old voice actors from the other CLAMP animes to play the same characters in Tsubasa, that would be cool.

Maybe i am just being dumb but why go and buy it in a language you can't even read and then come on to a chatroom and brag about it? Wow look at me I have the orginal manga i can't even read and its excatly the same in as the english version. stare

Well I'll tell you my reason why I prefere the Japanese books to the English ones. One is that the colors. If you compare the English manga to the Japanese manga the Japanese manga the colors are a lot darker and the lines are more clear. If you look at the English manga it looks like someone just made a copy (which they did). Another is that Japanese manga are cheaper. You could buy a translated manga for $10 plus tax or the original manga for about $6 plus tax. I personally would by the Japanese one. It's clearer and cheaper. The Japanse manga is smaller than the English version. It's a little more easier on the hands. About not being able to read Japaese, I can read basic Japanese so that is not a problem for me, but if I want translations I can just get them online for no extra cost. Also the English manga has been known to be unreliable. Take Wish for example. The English version made Kohaku a female when in truth he has no sex. So the reason why I buy the Japanese manga is because there is more plus sides to buying it.

I accidently brought Tsubasa volumes 1 & 2 in japanese;hardcover verison instead of the usual manga type of book last year at Sakura-Con.

I didn't know there was a english verison until last minute. I felt a little stupid but still happy with my purchases. I mainly wanted to look at the pictures, instead of trying to read the japanese text. Which probably isn't the best of reasons to buy it, considering how much they were.

Yet, I hadn't know of the english verison at the moment and was excited to just scan though the book, attempting to figure out what is going on. The two volumes came with a nice holder and even little pictures you can stick up on your wall. ^^;

Manga here costs $10! I bought one yesterday with the tips I saved up. Yays! I can't wait until Volume 5 comes out here. Ugh! It makes me so angry to wait for the series! *gur* stressed

I like Fai, he's such a cute character. Always so cheerful and slinky... yesh, SLINKY. ^_^

Anyways, there's a larger picture of the image that was posted on here... lol, I'll post it up later. I have 3 wallpapers from Tsubasa on my computer I think. (Thinking, perhaps I have that image in my journal already?)

There will be a Tsubasa anime, and xxxHolic will be made into a movie, or at least that's what I heard. 3nodding

There's 4 volumes out so far for me, and I can't complain about the price... I mean, at least we actually get manga, what if they didn't ever translate manga for us at all? eek Anyways... my old teacher and friend teaches Japanese, maybe one day I'll learn (don't really have time now) and then I'll read untranslated manga...

gonk In U.S. its only up to vol.5! crying crying crying I really like it when Kurogane gets all mad because Fai calls him all those inaproppriate names.
