Well, when I first tried to read the manga at the bookstore, I picked up a random volume, opened it up to the first page, and found somebody's mother in little bits. I stopped having contact with X ever since.

YAAAY! X! OK! I shall say my feelings on it...
WHOA. I LOVE how everything you think means one thing really means another. I just love the way that CLAMP twists words and actions around. It's really...engaging.
My favorite character, DESPITE HOW HARD I TRY TO MAKE IT OTHERWISE, is really Subaru. *sighs* It's just a carry over from Tokyo Babylon though. I get so sad watching him angst around in X and I desperately want him to get it together and be that person I used to know. He's really tragic. It breaks my heart... so... I guess it's only fitting that he literally broke Seishirou's too. ^_^;; (I hope that wasn't a spoiler)
Um um um- BUT! I'm a really big fan of Sorata and Yuzuriha too! And... I admit... I have this funky desire to see Yuzuriha and Kamui as a couple just because... they're cute. Eh heeh. sweatdrop

X_X! *LOL* I know what part you're talking about.... xd Yeah, eh... it's deffinately a series that I wouldn't show to my younger sister. o_O;;;; And for gods sake don't watch the movie if you don't like blood spray.... I can't believe Subaru-san died in the first five minutes of that movie. gonk Nosebiter, I know what you mean... I feel so sorry for Subaru-san sometimes... he's such a sweetheart that it's not fair, all the crap that Seishirou does to him. It makes me so mad when I think about it... >\\ I am glad that Seishirou got his, but at the same time.... god dammit.... crying He just has a way to spoil everything....

I saw the movie before I read the manga and I was like "Heeey- check it out... there goes ANOTHER one" And I just noticed recently that they subtitled Subaru's lastname wrong. O_O They call him "Kimeragi Subaru". I giggle now because I think that means that the subbers had no idea who all these dying people were either...

I've watched the whole series but I have yet to see the movie or the manga. neutral
I heard the manga is awesome *wants to read it...BADLY*
But the movie is kinda iffy...
Anyway my favorite characters are:
Yuzuriha
Kamui
Inuki
Arashi
Sorata
Subaru
In that order, or something like that.
Usually I love angst but X is just so sad and heartbreaking, one of the best and saddest tales I've ever seen, the women of CLAMP just have such a wonderful and dark imagination, of heartwrenching stories...
At first I thought that the ending sucked...(SPOILER: HIGHLIGHT TO READ)
But then I thought Even though it is sad, it gives one of the best morals in life, at the end when Fuuma kills Kamui, in the series, it teaches about death, in fact throughout the whole series it teaches a deeper meaning about death, and how we, as the loved ones of the dead, should live on and keep their memory, their love, their whole being, deep in our hearts and live on for them, and with them.
That was so deep...
or at least that's my interpretation sweatdrop

I thought I posted in this thread...I guess not. I think it was in the X guild. I'll just copy and paised everything I said there to here. I got into X about two years ago after I saw a music video on the movie. My friends had seen the movie and read the manga. It looked really cool and all the bishi guys made me want to watch it even more. I rented the anime first and then borrowed my friends Japanese mangas. I eventually downloaded all the anime series and watched it. I still haven't seen the movie though. I had a chance to but I didn't watch it because at the time I had only seen the first few episodes of the anime. I've been reading the manga out of order lately, I still haven't finished it. I don't really have enough money to buy any mangas, but when I do I usually just buy the parts I like. I can't really decide who's my favorite character. I guess it's Subaru, but then I also like Seishirou. Seishirou is cool and Fuuma's my God and Kamui is cute. Argg! I can't decide! Subaru/Seishirou is my favorite paring. I love Tokyo Babylon and I love the relationship they have with each other. I feel sorry for Subaru in X. I can only hope that they have some kind of happy ending in Tsubasa. I also really like Fuuma/Kamui. Fuuma's sexy. He's my god and I worship everything that he does. And that's just it. The character I hate is Kotori. Thank god she's dead. When I was downloading the anime I asked my friend. "When is she going to die? I'm at the tenth episode."
"She doesn't die for a while."
"Damn."
And finally when the episode came I was happy. Sometimes I watch it over just to see her die. I guess part of the reason I worship Fuuma is because he kill Kotori. In the begining I hated Kanoe as well. She doesn't show up as often as the story progessed so she doesn't bother me as much.

Oh, I have a question for people who've seen the anime and the movie. Which voice actor in the Japanese version for Kamui do you like better? (by this I mean which fits Kamui better) Kenichi Suzumura who play's Kamui in the anime (and who also plays Kouichi in Digimon Frontier which is another reason why I wanted to see X I love Digimon and I love this voice actor) or Tomokazu Seki who played Kamui in the movie (and a lot of other characters in different animes which it would take me too long to name all the ones just on off top of my head).

huge fan of X. i have seen all the anime, and the movie, but unfortunatly (sp?) i have not read the manga crying . sorata is still my favorite character.
