Xeen Soldevi Eulalia Danae "Funny how things work out then, isn't it." McKinnly grinned, "I hope you gave her a fond farewell, last time you saw her." ((When I said powers, I meant what are his uses.)) Xeen glared at the man before him, and began to circle him. (well you know you could throw those in for Xeen too, but fine fine) Mckinnly smiled, patiently watching him circle, he was enjoying himself, and decided to goad Xeen on even more, "The body is still in the power module," He said, not realizing the body had been taken out by Draqx. "But I wouldn't suggest an open casket at the viewing. The bullet holes in her head could be a bit alarming to your daughter." ((14 9 3 50))

Or are you really as emotionaly frozen as the rumours have said?" He watched Xeen closely, he didn't want to kill him, not yet, he could still be useful, very useful, in bringing down the other five. Once he'd served his purpose, then he would wipe Soltari away, like the rest of them, but not quite yet. At the moment, he needed him angry, insane with rage, and tearing through the streets after the other five. His mind calculated in search of what would make him snap, relying on lies or extended truths. "She called out your name, or at least that's what I heard from Jackson, when they were...interviewing her...." He chuckled, "she called out for you. I wasn't there to see it, I was at Clair's party. But Jackson said she was good, and he enjoyed her....fully."

Xeen stopped circling him, and willed himself calm, forcing his rage back, regaining his focus. "The the fall of the Union will begin with you and this Plant. Jackson will get his turn, but you, James McKinnly, will go first."

"Holy s**t."
A.C., ah, was kind of in shock. Yes, that's the best way to describe it.
I mean, wouldn't you be, if the man you were taught in school to be one of the founding fathers of your beloved home and who you grew up learning was a sadistic b*****d who intimidated pretty much everybody was suddenly RIGHT THERE, RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU, and engaged in a one-on-one battle with the enemy and USING THE ENEMIES' POWERS?!?!
I would. I mean, I'm not brainwashed any more than this girl is, and obedient citizens don't get brainwashed at all, not the way troublemakers do... But I kind of think I'd be in shock, too, if, say, I saw George going suicide bomber on Bin Laden. That's about what this scene looks like to our poor, frozen, shocked little government gopher-pressed-against-the-wall A.C.
Luckily, in times just such as this, she has a little talent that kicks in. A glamour fell over her, and suddenly it was like she had never been there at all. If someone looked, or even if someone had been looking, their eyes would slip off her as if on empty space and they wouldn't even realize there was a person there. Much less her.
Ah, defense mechanisms... cool

Ah, defense mechanisms... cool Oralia's eyes moved away from A.C. as the glamour took effect, and returned to the fight between her father and Mckinnley. "Do you require my assistance in this?" She asked Xeen, the guise she had been holding as an officer shimmered and slipped away, revealing the small dark haired child, holding a worn green teddy bear.

A moment ago, weren't you trying to control your rage?" ((13 8 3 50))

He turned back to Xeen his eyes glowing slightly with the same pulsing blue of the pure energy that wrapped around his fist. "If you continue this, you will die, Soltari, and after I'm through with you, do you really think your child stands a chance?"

So Xeen waited for him to make a move.

The appearance of a child brought A.C. back into focus with a sharp snap. Her eyes narrowed beneath the glamour, and her posture shifted to a ready-to-fight stance without her realizing it. She figured out that the child was the strange officer, and didn't bother to stop and wonder if the officer was actually a child or the child actually an officer--or neither. She'd wandered the streets a lot as a child, and seen some very strange things, and she'd decided long ago that if a child was ever in danger... it was her duty above all else to help that child.
Now the wheels started turning in her head, forgetting just who was fighting and focusing on the fact that they were doing so rather close to an innocent life. A.C. started calculated what exactly that distance was... and how she could get the girl out of here.
The glamour was still in place, but not as strong. Rather than nothing being there at all, it was like a small, pin-point force was poised to act. Still, nothing could be seen, and no one would feel anything unless their attention wasn't focused. To anyone watching the fight, there was still nothing by the door.
