I don't like the sounds of it. *the boy and mouse entered and cabin in the woods and locked the door*

((continued from forest to the east)) Oric sat down on a log and pulled off his headband and wrapped it around his ankle to stop the bleeding. He kept walking to his cabin holding his left wrist to stop it from bleeding more. "Curses! What were those things? They weren't normal wolves. I can outrun normal wolves most the time. And those auras.... they were evil." Oric reached his cabin and walked around back to his garden and began to pick out specific herbs and headed back inside. Muchie woke up from his nap and ran to the edge of the table and squeaked at Oric in concern. "Don't worry Muchie, I'll be okay, but can you help me with these herbs?" Muchie squeaked and ran down the table leg and over to Oric as he sat down on the floor with a pistal and mortor and began to grind up some leaves as Muchie shredded some up to make it easier to grind. After a few minutes Oric had a paste and pulled over two clean headbands. "I hate this part." Oric pulled off the headband he wrapped around his ankle. He grit his teeth and put the herbal paste on his wounds and held back a scream. Muchie looked away. Oric wrapped one of the clean headbands around his ankle. He stopped to catch his breath. Oric grabbed the rest of the ontiment and rubbed it into the wound on his left wrist and held back another scream. He wrapped the other headband around his wrist. He layed down on the floor sweating. "The herbs hurt almost as much as the wounds" Muchie rubbed up against Oric's cheek. Oric put everything away and fell down on his bed and took a nap. Muchie ran up the bed's leg post and climbed into Oric's hair

The young man slept for hours and his pet mouse woke up early and desided to go outside. The mouse ran through a tiny hole in the wall and scurried outside. The mouse looked around and felt some powerful aura pressures for to the west. The mouse began to walk around but sensed a few strong auras to the north east. The mouse didn't like all those strong auras being out at the same time and was on edge. His fur stood on end. A fox walked out from the bushes and began to creep up on the would-be supper. Muchie turned to the wolf and began to expand his aura. The fox stopped approaching the mouse for a second, feeling something was wrong, but the fox resumed his hunting and circled the mouse. Muchie was very tense and decided to scare the fox away. The mouse's eyes glowed white and a massive surge of energy began to flow through his tiny body. His aura sky-rocketed, giving off an aura with a power level as high as a full grown grizzley bear. The fox ran away as fast as his little fox legs could carry him. All other animals in the general area also fled away. The mouse stopped producing his giant aura and his aura shrunk back into practically nothing. The little mouse was exhausted from putting out such an aura and ran off to a couple of bushes to fill up on berries.

Oric woke up the next morning and his wounds were half-way healed already. "I'll tell ya Muchie, those herbs sting so much... but its worth it for how fast they heal wounds. Right Muchie? ...... Muchie? ....... Muchie?" Oric got up and looked his Muchie's usual hiding places, but couldn't find him in the cabin. "Well, he's not in my pockets, my hair, on the table, the pillows, or the bookshelf." Oric walked outside and sniffed the air and looked left, quickly spotting Muchie sleeping of a leaf. "There you are." Oric walked over to Muchie and the mouse woke up as Oric approached. "What are you doing out here?" The mouse ran up Oric and sat on his shoulder and began to squeak. "I see. Well, you didn't have to sleep right after you ate." The mouse squeaked. "Well, what'd you do to make yourself so tired?" Muchie looked away from Oric and squeaked. "Riiiiiight. Nothing huh?" stare Oric picked a few apples and went back inside.

Oric ran outside around noon. "Lunch time Muchie!" The mouse squeaked with joy. "Let's find some meat today." Muchie nodded, knowing that his human companion hadn't eatten meat in a while. "Perhaps I should gather wood for a fire first. Who knows, we may even find lunch while we're at it." wink Muchie nodded and the boy ran into the forest with the mouse on his shoulder. Oric found a dead trunk of a tree embedded in the ground. "Look there! Go see if its dry inside Mooch." The mouse climbed down the boy and examined the tree and crawled inside it through a small hole in the trunk. The mouse ran back out and went back to the boy's shoulder and squeaked a bit. "Okay, great." The boy began to pull the trunk out of the ground. "It's in there...*grunt* pretty bad." stressed The boy worked up a sweat before managing to push the wood out of the dried up mud. He began to roll it back home. Muchie turned quickly on Oric's shoulder and Oric turned to see why. As soon as he turned, he saw a snake striking out of a tree at him. Oric blinked. Suddenly, he was one foot forward, with is sword in hand, and a snake head on the ground. "Wha-...... what happened?" eek Oric looked at his sword and saw it had a little blood on it. "Did....... did I do that?" surprised Oric looked around and Muchie stared at him in confusion. "I didn't know I could move like that. I blinked and it was all over." Oric reached into the tree with his empty hand and pulled out the snake's dead body. "Muchie....... lunch!" The mouse smiled as Oric carried his lunch and jumped on the log. "Let's go eat." blaugh Oric began to walk backwards on the log, causing it to roll forward to his cabin.

Oric cut his wood, cooked his snake, and ate it. "I think its time to go swimming Muchie." The mouse nodded, but didn't like swimming, and decided to stay at the cabin. "Your loss." Oric left the mouse to watch the house, while he traveled into the forest to find a river. ((continued in forest to the east))

((continued from forest to the east)) The boy ran into the cabin soaking wet. The mouse ran to the edge of the table and started squeaking. "What do you expect? I went swimming in the creek and on my way back, it starting raining!" The boy took off his wet clothes and put on a new set of dry clothes. "But at least I caught dinner." The boy held up his prize. The boy walked to the fire place and set up some logs and pulled out two flint rocks. He striked the rocks together and made sparks on his first try and blew on the small flame until it was big enough to cook with. The boy scurred the fish and stuck it over the fire. He gathered his wet clothes and hung them on the side of the fire place to let them dry.The mouse squeaked and the boy turned to see the mouse at the window. "What is it Muchie?" The boy walked to the window and looked out. "Wow! Its really coming down out there now isn't it?" The boy and mouse watched the rain in the window as they had dinner in the warm cabin together.

The rain had died down, so the boy put on his dry outfit and katana and went outside. "Better check the garden" Oric went behind his cabin and saw his garden slightly flooded. "oh no." Oric ran to a shovel proped up against the cabin wall and used it to dig trenches for the water to flow out before it flooded the garden. "That was close." The boy grabbed a bucket and drank the water from it. "Nothing like fresh rain water." The boy walked out and sat on a stump in front of his cabin and looked in the sky and saw a rainbow. "Wow. It's so beautiful. I really do love it here." ((Continued in Forest to the East))

((continued from forest to the east)) Oric ran up as he saw his home come into view. "We're here Inka!" Oric ran to the front of the door and grabbed a candle out of a lantern. He pulled out some flint from his pocket and shrapped it with a small knife next to the lantern. The sparks ignited the candle and the boy placed the candle into the lantern and opened the door. The boy entered the cabin and used the lantern to light a few candles placed around the main room. The cabin lit up enough for the visitor to see. "Muchie! Muchie where are you?!?" Oric's ears perked up as he heard the tiny feet scurry over. "Muchie!" The boy smiled wide and picked up the mouse. "I was so worried." The mouse was pleased to see the crimison haired boy back, but quickly sensed something amiss. Muchie ran up the boy's arm and onto his shoulder. Muchie began to puff up as it starred at the unfamiliar woman in the doorway. "It's okay Muchie. She's our friend." The boy walked over to Inka and looked up at her. "Inka, please say hello to my dearest friend Muchie."

"N...Nice to meet you hehe-hum..." Inka said trying to be nice, in reality she wanted to slam her head against the doorway frame. "All that... for a mouse?!" She thought but shook her head. "At least we know that Muchie here is safe and sound, you two live here by yourselves?" She looked around eyes adjusting easy enough to the dim light inside the cabin. It was small and humble, something she expected a boy and a mouse might live in. But there was an empty space about the place, like something was missing. "Parents, that's what's missing," Inka knew the feeling, after all she was familiar with it too.
"What were the creatures you were talking about earlier? The 'dimons'? What makes you think that there are such creatures about?" Inka asked still standing in the doorway of the cabin.

The mouse glared at Oric and began to squeak at him. "Oh.... it's pronounced DEMONS? You sure?" The mouse nodded his head. "Right. Yes I was attacked by demons. I killed two. Then this scary looking bird-faced man threatened to destroy the forest so ran to stop him." Oric shivered. "The vibe this monster gave off was horrific. He looked like a person but he was too evil to be one. Then another evil person thing came out and joined him. Then two more people showed up and they began to fight the two evil people things. They moved so fast... I couldn't even see them. And the air.... it became thick with energy. So much power radiated off those four as they fought... it was terrorifying. So I ran. I ran as hard as I could. I didn't lookm where I was running... I just had to get away from them." Oric finished explaining his story with amazing wording for a forest boy. "I think... the first person said something about his master wanting me..." Oric sat down and pulled his sheathed katana off his side to sit down on one of the three chairs. "The next thing I knew I was in the tree, then you showed up."

"Was he just talking to a mouse?" Inka thought looking at Oric quizzically till he mentioned demons. She jerked her head up and looked at Oric, "Are you positive that there were demons?" Inka asked, oh how she hated the word itself as it brought back miserable memories of childhood. "I've heard about demons but that was years ago, and in myths," she took a step inside hesitantly and shut the door behind her. She didn't like to leave doors open, things might come in unwantedly.
"Sounds like you had a dozy of a step back in time and straight into a whole battle for the world smack down between the legendary guardians and evil in all its forms," Inka moved over to the wall and leaned against it. "That or the world really will need heroes again it the demons you saw are really around again," she looked at the ceiling thinking. She eternally hated the idea of saving the world and the Legend of the Dragoons. But it was impossible for demons to have ever been real, despite her own personal views.
