Ra'kar had very little awareness as to what was happening to the Kain and the first creature, but as she felt a burning pain in her left leg, her mind registered that this foul tempered filth has just slashed her shin as she tried to back out of it's reach, still swiping at it's flank.
:: Too fast-- ::
Her eyes flickered, the pupils forming crescent moons before drowning in a myriad of golden flame. A pain filled shriek tore free of the demoness' throat as ebony wings, broke through the skin of the woman's back. Flacked with blood, the right upper wing crashed down upon the monster, driving a horrendous growl from it as it gasped for air.
Elven fire struck against the thing's shoulder but glanced off the armoured hide. She drew her arm back, if she couldn't hack at the thing, maybe enough force behind the tip would pierce the creature? But before she could lunge the thing lept at her face. She dropped to the ground as the beast lept over her head, her tail striking it in the gut. Scalding blood coated her tail tip now, but despite the fact that she'd drawn blood, the wound didn't seem to hinder the demon whatsoever. She got to her knees and readied for it's next pass, but was bowled over from behind.
:: The third. ********. ::
Blood streamed from her right shoulder, making it a little painful to hold the elven longsword. But as the third came back to snap her up in it's jaws, her tail thrust at it's face, the razored tip striking it's eyes, cutting the jelly like orbs into gooey halves as the beast howled in pain, lashing out blindly in a kamikaze fashion.

The steel slid along the thick skin and merely made a small cut, a paper cut. Kain was launched into the air again as the creature tried to reach "up" to unsquinch it's shoulder imprinted face.
The creature ruffled its massive hands over its upper lip where Kain had slammed into it, obviously taken buy surprise. Kain, getting his berings now, after being thrown and twhirled.
The thing sniffed the air and looked around for its, thought, prey. Kain came falling down, doublet fluttering in the wind and Odachi cutting the air like a hot knife to butter. NOW the length of the weapon came in handy once he took the weapon at the hilt with both hands and gave a mighty chop downward. With the force of Gravity and sheer strength on his side, the elongated Katana sunk into the intensley solid skull. The groove at the top of the creatures head was an excellent guide for the sword. The Odachi landed only 5 inches into its cranium but that wasn't enough to kill it outright. It writhed and twisted, clutching at the its bleeding face...
Kain may have lost his current weapon but he was lucky enough to have several more, but he'd have to catch his breath---Slammed from behind, he was being pinned onto the ground by a great weight. He yelled frustration as fangs drove themselves deep into his left shoulder/back. Hooved feet made heavy impact, insta bruise no doubt, on his thighs...

Unbeknownst to Ra'kar Kain had been bitten--- In roughly 5 minutes, he would start feeling the hellish effect of the creature's Venom. Designed to neutralize magick based armies. They would be unleashed in hoardes of 15 - 30 at a time based upon the enemies numbers. They would seek out the stables first, slaughtering the horses then moving on to maul anything else that moved. If bitten, a mortal would be dead within the half hour... but higher based magick beings, having a higher resistance to such things would face a different fight entirely. An agent in the venom of the beasts, once in the blood stream, spreads to supress magickal abilities and energies, while triggering a severe fever and mild paralyzation. The unfortunate devil would begin to feel the effects in no less than five minutes...
Ra'kar on the other hand, had been slashed to ribbons by the two demons. Her clothes hanging in ripped shreds, her skin smeared with her own blood, and the darker congealing blood of the savage monster gnashing at her heels. A chilling laugh errupted from the badly wounded woman, her eyes unfocused and her own fangs glinting menacingly in the moonlight. The smell of blood was thick enough you could choke on it, but Ra'kar was being driven into a blood frenzy, her pain fading as the insatiable lust gripped her--

Kain's senses heightened, the pain receding as gouts of adrenaline pumped into his body, the poison would come, but not until five minutes and in a fight that was a long time.
He reached down with his right arm to his waist, finding the dagger there and pulling it free. Just as Kain was about to thrust the weapon towards the creatures ehad, a backwards thrust. The thing tore away, a fair sized chunk of the Devil's flesh with it, and came in again for another bite, Kain had forced himself onto his side, his right arm completely free and strong for him to sink the 6 1/2" of steel into the things left eye. With the force of the creatures second attack it practically impaled itself. The quillons of the dagger were dripping with gore and it ran along down to the devils hand.
The creature slumped dead on top of Kain, struggling to free himself he felt Ra'Kar's energy rising, although...it was becoming fainter as was his mobility in the left arm. That was understandable...he was missing some of it...he didn't know that both cases were related and that the creatures toxin would be halting him in a short while. His regenerative capabilities could only work in a state of calm...this wasn't exactly calm...

Ra'kar's entire body pulsed with excitement. As the 3rd beast lept for her back, her tail thrashing it back into the ground as it wrapped around the thing's neck. The tail tip thrust inside the monster's mouth as it snapped at her and slashed at it's throat from within. The thing let loose a horrible death cry as it writhed and then slumped. Luckily for the demon, her tail wasn't exactly biting material.
The cries of two more such creatures sounded out, both of them racing into the frey from Kain's side. They wouldn't pass up a live target...
The second one still lashed at the demoness however. With a scream of challenge and madness, Ra'kar plunges her hand deep into her own gut with a sickening sound of flesh and thicker things sucking about her wrist as blood pour from the wound as the clawed strike pierces her innards.
With an incoherant moan she graps on to something and begins drawing it out of her belly--- hilt first.

After much struggling and dizzying stars flashing infront of his ******** THIS!"
Kain slammed his palm over the things face and, since his left hand was useless, he dipped the tip of his tongue into the creatures blood and drew intricate signs onto the back of his hand. With each stroke the design began to emant a light that pierced through Kain's hand and into the creature.
A couple of pulses of white energy had the creature standing up again! It reared and roard, being forced back into the land of the living was a painful thing. It may not've liked it but it would listen.
When the thing reared up, from inbetween its legs Kain could see Ra'Kar clutching at her midsection, blood pouring from it. It wasn't too late, what's a gut wound these days?...he hoped. His Undead demon soldier turned and put itself between Ra'Kar and an attacking creature.
The living one got the more fatal attack, straight to the jugular. Unfortunate that it had no real effect but upset the undead automoton. The Undead grasped the Living with both great arms and squeezed...with thumbs digging into the eyes...
Kain was left to fight to his feet, grasping tightly at his horrendous wound, his left arm limp and doublet soaked red...

If she was coherent, she would have recognized the man's necromancy... but Ra'kar had given herself over to a hint of her true nature and capabilities. As the blood poured from her gut, her tail lashed through it, tracing an intricate spell circle on the bloodsoaked ground beneath her feet. Requiring more blood, she twisted the blade she was pulling from her insides, 'causing the wound to ooze that much more.
A crashing wave of energy poured over anything present as the woman's spell circle flashed to light in a blinding shade of incarnadine.
The tattoos on her body seemed to eminate the same bloody red light, and all at once, it was as if the blood smeared on her skin was absorbed into those elaborate patterns, the blood strewn over the earth absorbed to sustain her.
With a tug and a snarl, she heaved her blade free from her own flesh. The sword that was born a part of her, the Demon sword Mraer'ith. A hellish piece of twisted and gnarled obsidian, edged with the razored teeth of slain demon kin, all fixed at angles that would snag and tear at any flesh it cut, ideal for disembowling opponents... A blood stone the size of a peach pit centred in the hilt and bracketed by the heartstones of two fire dragons.
The sword seemed to scream, crying the agonies of those whose lives it had snuffed out in morbid memory... a gruesome lamenting song.
Golden eyes narrow on the remaining beasts--

The massively opened wound on Kain's back began to solidify, the blood becoming harder than a mere scab. He was feeling unnaturally drained and was forced back to his knees, short of breath and dizzying from the blood loss. If he payed more attention his DNA would have told him that there was a poison in his body, most of it left when the demon creature tore away that section of flesh but some still remained.
The Blood along on his hand sizzled, the tip of his tongue had a ting to it. He licked off the rest of the tainted stuff and started to feel more energized. His former vampiric traits still lingered and the blood gave him life again, at least, strength back to his limbs and, Kain knew, it was only momentarily.
He needed to do two things before he was renered useless from the vicious hindering attacks he had sustained. Nearly a third of his own blood was now fertilizing the soil and a headache was surging from his energy drainage and expending. He hobbled over to the other dead thing, sword still firmly in place between its eyes, Kain did a similar ritual like what he had done on the other Demon, only this time he use a clawed finger to etech the desigin into its forhead. It too came to life with light and body movement.
He had two Undead creatures now and that would be his limit in his current state. The 2nd held Kain in a cradled arm and ran up to Ra'Kar's back, she now had excellent protection of one creature infront, crushing the skull in of its Living counterpart, and one behind, watching their backs and protecting Kain.

As Kain moved behind her, Ra'kar flew directly into the two quarreling demons. Shoving her blade hilt deep through the agressors eye, and her hand directly into one of the wounds on the one Kain had posessed her lips whisper something as she presses them to the gore--
"Tien'fetlth'os"
Both of the demons would scream horrific deathcrys same as the last ones had. The blood pouring from the beasts was hissing with steam as it literally boiled. Ra'kar, arm deep in it seemed impervious. The blood that touched her skin simply dissapeared, fading into the ebony marks that marred her skin.
If Kain was coherent and had retained enough of his sight thus far, he'd know without a doubt that he was watching the work of an adept blood speaker. With a hideous laugh, it was time to end it.
"Dra'then!"
Both beasts seemingly exploded from the inside out in a shower of boiling blood and thicker things.
Ra'kar didn't even look back, she walked through the wave of crimson and towards the open field where 2 more pairs of glowing eyes waited. The sounds of a scuffle, grappling and then the unholy screams of the demon's pain as they too lay lifeless.
Mraer'ith was slick with the demon's blood, and it seemed as if it glowed with the life energies it had just claimed. A morbid beacon brandished in it's mistress' hand. Ra'kar looked feral, her dress nothing but ebony tatters, barely holding together. Yet if Kain could see, he would note that the wound on her stomach had healed. The flesh reknit and flawless.

Blood Speaker...similar to his Blood Magic...and she was...GOOD with it! He hadn't seen someone this adept at it since him...perhaps even better. She used it in a different way than he did and it was powerful, indeed. Well, that was good to know...
His blood volume was quickly coming back, but the magic suppressing venom was rapidly acting, he'd need to do something about his strangley exhausting state soon.
Kain fell onto his left knee, his right propping himself up while his left arm lay motionless to its side. He bit down and snarl through his gritted teeth, concentrating on possibly toxins that may have entered his body through that bite he collected...

In the space of the next 5 minutes, the kills had racked up to 8 including Kain's kill. No more eyes lit up the hellish darkness, no more growls sounded from the shadows. The corpses of the lesser demons lay scattered where they'd been felled. Still Mraer'ith desired more.
The bloodlust that coursed through her veins only seemed magnified by the weapon she wielded. Her eyes were unfocused, drowning pools of golden flame as she walks back over to where Kain lay, her wings fanning out behind her in an obsidian banner. Her entire being seemed to radiate power as she loomed over the wounded and partially paralyzed man. Mraer'ith pulses in her hand and she swings the blade swiftly. Would he blink? Flinch? Attempt to defend himself? A downwards, diagonal cut to the left side of the neck. But where the blade should have cut through flesh, she stayed her hand, barely breaking the skin. She stands over him, executioner like in her ominous appearance. Her tail, lay poised behind her, ready to strike at any sudden movements the injured man might make.
Lips curled into a crazed, power drunk grin, fangs flashing in the moonlight.
"Do you still have reservations about serving under me Kain?"

Kain stayed still, he only looked up through blood matted hair. A heavy pant brought his, apparent, paralyzed arm to grasp the blade, slwoly, the edge biting into his flesh. Blood would run along it, yes, but...also would the poison from the vicious bite in a vile thick black mass. The woman was obviously crazed so he tried not to seem overtly threatening.
That was one part of Kain's blood magic, his crimson fluids spoke to him and followed his lead. It told him about the taint from the monster's bite and now that there was nothing to defend against Kain was right to regenerate the wounds.
"Don't hold me to these scratches, near death is the only fine point of battle...or life, for that matter..."
Strength was fast returning to his limbs with each drop of the tainted stuff leacing his body. The large red scab was no longer there, it'd flaked away and exposed smooth and pale skin as if never touched.
Kain put pressure on the knee he was resting on and began to rise, his hand tightened on the blade...

Her tail would snake around his neck as he gripped her weapon. If he wanted to stand up? Fine. She'd help him. Her tail would help yank him to his feet if he was otherwise incapable of stopping it.
She would step into him, her free hand resting on his shoulder, nails biting into his skin as she purred at him.
"I would hold you to nothing. We are not the kind to be bound easily. I would however have you learn, that while you might have no problem with betraying me for a seemingly better offer... I will have no problem with hunting you down and exacting my own vicious views of justice. I would not simply Kill you Kain... I would torture you in such a way that you would not die unless I wished it so. Killing you would be too merciful. And self defeating since I doubt that you would die very easily, ne?"

OH ******** no, she didn't...that analytical mind of his went off in a jiff.
His glare hardened as the tail wrapped around the neck, the threat was...well...just plain unneccessary, did nothing but put Kain on a vengeful tier. The fact that she was coy, annoyed and enraged him all the more.
The more he looked to that mocking face the more he wanted to rip it off, threaten him...she's had WAY too much fun with pushovers. He was ready for her...
"Woman, slither your coils back off my neck or we shall see who will have the "fate-worse-than-death". Doubt my loyalties all you want, it lasts as long as your coin does. Threaten me again and you can think about killing me all you want, afterall, you'll have plenty of time when you're in oblivion..."

The demoness grinned. She liked this one more and more. But she wasn't finished yet. The tail tightened, but as she did so, she drew the hand that scratched his shoulder to her lips, pressing two bloodied fingers to her lips in a kiss.
"Shult'hen finos."
A blood seal. She had locked onto his DNA, a drop was all it took. He would be a challenge from what she knew of his skills. His alchemy posed a problem, as did the fact that he seemed to use a form of blood magick himself. But she was in all reality, much older than he was, and had been perfecting her craft long before he'd been concieved as a human whelp.
"Do you really think it's wise Kain? To turn against me so soon in our relationship? You Don't like Sierra because she was born of the elves. Fine. But if you can't see past those pointed ears of hers, you're a fool."
What was the point of this? She was simply showing him that she wasn't an elf, a fragile being, a delicate woman with tender sensabilities. She was a demon, one that in some cultures might even be viewed as a demi-god if she'd built up a following. She was every bit as primal and vicious as he, and her thirst for violence likely ran even as well. She wasn't the sort of person who tolerated excuses from people. She wasn't a pushover and she had absolutely no forgiveness for those who doublecrossed her.
If he had any sort of intuition or actual empathy skills that could give him a feel for her emotional intent, he would be able to tell that she wasn't intent on killing him or injuring him for that matter. This was simply a small demonstration of the power she had to offer him. Something he could share in if he so chose to.
