-Kami nearly cringed as the harsh tone touched the air, even though the placement of it lie on the two azure twins and not herself, and her ears perked softly with the words. Fighting? Why would there be fighting?
But then again.. the world was a dangerous place.. after all... father had just.. And certainly he hadn't instigated it. Her sister was simply being a good and protective mother.. even if it came out sounding so strained. Moving a step closer, she nodded dutifully.- "Myself and the whole pride will look over them Kiuma. They're in good paws here."
-His lips drew back at the reprimand and turning down, tiny teeth bared at his mother, though by some miracle he kept quiet. Of all the people in the world to wound his ego, to tell him he was too young... too small. His own mother?
Internally he seethed, and while his twin's hate settled upon the golden lioness, Ahai's hate settled on a more familar pelt. Father would never say that sort of thing to him. And childish egocentrism was enough to push aside the thoughts of their mother's protection and stress. He hated his mother. He hated his sister. He hated the weaklings his mother had pawned them off onto. He wasn't nothing. They were all nothing. All of those females. Every last one of them.
Tail curling around himself he simply glared as he watched his mother prepare to leave.-

Kiuma nodded at Kami's words, taking it in as truth. They would be protected... safe.
"We will be back before you ralize it, Sons. There will be other opportunities for you to travel, to fight and prove your courage... Do as Kamilika says, and stay out of trouble." A brisk nod was her only farewell, then she padded off into the night, letting the darkness swallow her.
Despite what she left behind, a thrill swept through the red lioness. Ah, to be traveling again... Much as she loved her homeland, there was nothing like the thrill of seeing new places, of being on her own with only herself to care for. And now she had a purpose, a fierce grin making her fangs flash.
Matsai turned to watch his twin with narrowed eyes, noticing the anger that flooded the small body. Rising to small white paws, he stepped close and brushed shoulder to shoulder, hoping to take some of the pain from his twin. "Come, Ahai... might as well sleep till daylight."

-Silent, except for an exasperated huff of frusteration, Ahai turned alongside his twin. Head lowering softly in momentary defeat, he simply nodded, noting how tired his small features were now becoming, as the adreniline died down.
Turning so that the golden lioness and the darkness in which his mother retreated disapeared completely from his sight, he began to pad slowly in, waiting to feel the motion of his twin at his side.- "Okay Matsai..."
-Watching the two twins softly, oblivious to the feelings and anger that tugged inside of them, much of it directed towards her, Kami was simply silent. She'd wait for them to settle and lay down, make sure the four were asleep, and then settle herself at the front of the cave. Ta wouldn't worry too much even without warning, she didn't think. He'd find her in the morning and soon enough see what the two had be siddled with.-
