Polgara laughed and shook her head, "I'm afraid I'm of no help to you there, you are familiar yes, but I'm not sure from where," She smiled and bowed her head. "I have traveled about the isle many times, so maybe you saw me when I was on my rounds?" She laughed, and walked over to the table to get more food, and a drink.
She mixed herself a small one, using mainly vodka, and a little bit of the punch and called it good, moving back towards one of the tables to sit.

"Yes, perhaps that's what it was," Cabel replied, not satisfied with the answer. He knew so few Pae'il anyway...why couldn't he remember where he had met this one? And an Elder at that! They weren't exactly the most forgettable people.
Shaking his head slightly, he wandered over to the table with the food and drinks, curious and just a bit peckish. Hmm...what was this? He picked up the bottle Polgara had just poured her drink from and sniffed the opening.
He put the bottle down hurriedly before he started coughing, doubling over at the smell. It was so strong and so sickening...but familiar in a way. Oh Guardians... His eyes widened as the memory was sparked. Some said that the senses could draw out memories that were otherwise lost. Cabel knew that for sure now and he looked at the bottle in horror, memory playing like a flim in his head as he muttered, "Guardians...the beer..."

Polgara was oblivious to Cabel's revalation, she was still didn't really remeber who Cabel was, so she ate and drank in blissful ignorance that the adult was the teen she'd gotten seriously snokered out.

Cabel glanced over at Pol, his memory of that day still a bit hazy after a certain point, but at least he remembered who she was now. The Elder of Summoning. Like the sunglasses and soda that day. And the beer. He shuddered, swearing once more that he'd never touch the stuff again after his last experience.
He wondered how long it would take to clue Polgara in to who he was, seeing as he had grown since that incident. Or if she'd even remember him at all. It was worth a try.
"So...no beer for you today, Pol?" He grinned, taking a cup and pouring himself some of the non-alcoholic version of the fruit punch. "Ya' know, that stuff can be dangerous. Or at least a little rough. 'Specially for the youngins..." He chuckled softly, leaning on his staff as he sipped some punch.

It was then that it clicked, and Pol's face just felt. "Oh... my... Guardians..." She groaned out, her head slowly sliding down and her hand moving to cover her face. "It was you?!" She groaned.
"Can you do me a favor... and uh... Not tell people that story..."

Cabel couldn't help but chuckle softly, crossing the room. He could sense her distress and patted her shoulder reassuringly. "It'll be our secret," he winked. "On one condition."
He paused, letting the suspense build before kneeling and glancing up at her face with a sheepish grin. "Forgive me for anything I may have done that day? I wasn't exactly myself...heh heh..."

Polgara chuckled weakly, "No worries, you really didn't do anything," She sighed. "And thank you, that would probably shoot me in the food for my race..." She rubbed her temples a little bit. "Hopefully we can keep that under heavy wraps..."

Cabel laughed, taking a seat by Polgara and leaning his staff on the table. "I wouldn't worry about that too much. Not many Pae besides ourselves know about that right?" He didn't remember...about the time it started getting hazy, he thought that there could have been some more Paes that showed up...but he could have imagined that.
He hoped that what she said was true and that he hadn't done anything shameful while under the influence. He'd never know if no one told him, but he didn't want her to think badly of him either based on one encounter when he wasn't himself at all. "Well, I suppose we both learned something that day, eh?" He chuckled, trying to lighten the mood.

Kethara arches a brow biting her lip. Shaking her head she doesn't want to even try to figure out what they were talking about. It had nothing to do with her.
Slipping out of the chair she walks back over to the table looking at the food. She was trying to decide what she wanted next.

"No doubt," Polgara laughed, before turning back to her food, nibbbling a bit again. "So, what brings you here? Seeing as you didn't know about the upcoming election," She chuckled a bit, letting the subject go and hopefully disapear forever!

The Fae only now noticed Kethara and waved, remembering her as Nienna's sister from the beach. It was thanks to her and Nienna that he'd been filled in on the situation with the Naiads...at least to some extent.
"Well, to be honest," he turned back to Polgara, "I'd just never been here before and thought I'd satisfy my curiosity! Strange coincidence that I picked right now to do so, hmm?" Cabel had been trying to explore the isle in his own time since setting out from his adoptive parents' home. "I'd heard some interesting things about this place and I was pretty eager to see it myself."

Polgara chuckled. "Yes, quite odd..." She chuckled and then looked around the room. "I should stop stuffing my face and walk around some more and talk," Polgara chuckled weakly. "I'm being awfully rude for a host..."

Smiling, the brightly-colored Fae leaned back, relaxing. "Well, I certainly wouldn't think you were being rude, but don't let me stop you if you need to socialize. We can always catch up later." He sipped the punch, enjoying the sweet, fruity flavors as he glanced around the room. So, it was just the three of them right now? Was it still early or was this it? For that matter, what in Telrunya was a 'mayor?'

Polgara chuckled, "I guess I can finish this plate and wait a little while..." She rolled her neck and sighed a little. "I have to say, I had hoped the turnout would have been a bit better, but the night is still early," She laughed and pulled another piece of briscuit to her.

Kethara wings flutter behind her before she reaches over grabbing a bottle of water. Popping it open she takes a sip from it as she studies the other two. So they had some history, this made her curious.
But again she told herself she wouldn't get involved, she didn't want to know. As it was her nature not to hide anything she knew she wouldn't be able to hide this if someone asked her about it.
