"Now I repeat my question: What issues need attention and what needs to be done?" Even of the crowd, there were distinct differences in groupings, which Mikki noticed. She tended to notice things others wouldn't take a first glance at, but perhaps a second glance if she pointed it out. "I know I don't know much about our society, but the only way you are all going to help me know, is to teach me what I can learn. How will I be able to lead you all effectively if I don't know how to help? Hmm?" He voice was clear, and a bandaged boy raised his good arm and spoke. "We need help. I mean, us injured people need help. We've not enough healers because so many would rather go into battle!" Makenzie nodded, "Thank you, that's something I can help. I'll need those who'll train for healing stay behind when we're done!" Mikki waited for anyone to continue.

A tall, rugged man walked forward "Ma'am, the right flank of section D has been taking hits from mortar fire for the last three days, and thats only half of our problems. Snipers, chopper runs, and rockets have been takin potshots at us for a while too. Can you do somthin?" he asked her.

"I can provide some strategies for living just that much longer." She smiled almost a bit maliciously, then laughed. "They may seem too cautious for some of you, but it's your choice whether you learn it or not." She looked around once more. "I hope to provide more sharpshooting techniques as well."

"What can sharpshooting do against mortars and choppers?" the man asked "And anyway, we're cautious to the point of mental problems! We need tanks, stingers, and mortars of our own! Not some new strategies!" he yelled at Mikki. Curse's hand gave a faint glow of power as the man yelled, but the man didnt notice.

"I said it's your choice whether you like my ideas or not!" She snapped, hoping to show more authority. Her piercing gaze at least made him pause before she continued without waiting for him. "I m mostly master at hiding. Of course running and hiding steriotypically won't get you anywhere, but I hide in the midst of those who hate us. Most likely to many of your surprize, which is the reason I'm not known here. If I can fool my own brethren, then I'm positive in my ability to teach you how to identify our own, as well as unidentify ourselves to strangers..." Makenzie let her words sink in for a moment, then continued once more, "Now, as I said earlier, those who will train for healing should stay behind, and I'll include those to also learn of the techniques I can help provide for the Hiding.

The Hellraisers grugdily obey. The healers, medics, scouts, and snipers stayed as the others walked back to their posts. They hated their new leader, she was cocky and sure of herself, but their hatred was far outmatched by their fear of Sasquach. He was one of the handful of dark angels left from the war and knew how to use his power to its full extent.

Mikki felt something of discomfort at the eyes upon her and sensed a dislike among the Hellraisers. She looked downcast during the period of leave for the majority. She felt a tingling tug on her shoulders before falling to her knees. Pretendind to be confident was too much for a group so full of hate like that. Those who remained would now see her weakness and spread the word now, wouldn't they? Forget them... she thought to herself. Mikki was wiped out and didn't realize the pendant would drain her power without the genuine loyalty of her followers. She collapsed, blacking out...

Curse picked Mikki. Poor girl. The pendant was too much for her. Ill have to teach her how to gain their loyalty and how to use the pendant well. Right now she's not cut out for the sword. He carries her to the Commanders quarters and sets her down on the bunk. Just wait until she realizes that she can use all the elements and will be the next ruler of the entire world.

Mikki stirred and opened her eyes softly. Her head hurt and she tried to sit up, but collapsed again on her pillow. Her throat was dry and any light hurt her eyes, so she closed them.

Curse took out his water bottle and put it to Mikkis lips. "Drink up Mikki. The aftershock of overusage can leave you very malnourished."
