Tsuzuki just nodded and said, "Sure you were. Don't worry about it. I'm sure that there's a good reason you didn't tell me about it in the first place."

She paused for a moment before telling him, "Hey, I'm gonna go walk around after I get settled. You know, see what's going on in the city. Do you or Shuro want to come?"

"I'll come," Baolin offered. "Shuro's a little busy with his bath at the moment."

((Ack! Fiendishly short post!))

Lee ran through Ba Sing Se after having added more weight to his vest, ankle, and wrist weights. Now it looked as if he wore armor. The ankle weights were now shin guards, the wrist weights were now gauntlets, and Lee's vest was now had the capacity of a chest plate along with shoulder plates. If he could he would have strapped iron to his limbs and torso instead of all the stone. It made him look ridiculous and it was difficult to move but it helped improve his strength so untill he found a blacksmith he would use the stone. Lee ran through the city making his way back to the desert. He stumbled once but regained his balance and kept running. He had found the best training grounds, and that was the desert.

Dav and His unit were at the outskirts of the city when they sow someone running with what looked like half of Omashu on his back.

Commander Xue Sighed "Looks like they'll let anyone into the army these days."

"Too true." Dav said absent mindedly as he looked around. He never liked coming to Ba Sing Se all that much. The place was always so rigid and...well boring!

"HELP! PLEASE! SOMEONE HELP US!" A woman's voice screamed out from the road ahead.

"Okay....its not ALWAYS Boring." Dav thought as he and the other 6 members of his team ran to the sound of the screaming.

When they arrived at the clearing they saw a family huddled against the ground as a man with wild hair set fire to their carriage, cackaling madly as he did.

"Cole." Captian Raan, the leader of their group, "This is yours to fix." He ordered in his usual curt tone.

Fix it? How the hell do I put out that blaze with the little water I have?" Dav thought when suddenly, an Idea came to him.

Dav let all the water he had in his satchel flow out and he made it hover over the blaze. The satchel might not be enough to create a spray that would put it out...But he could make makeshift rain.

Dav Spread the water out as thin as he could, sweating with the amount of mental exertion this took. Once he had the blaze aimed at, he let the water drop, extinguishing the flames.

The crazed man turned toward Dav, who had gone down to his hands and knees, and charged him.

Before the man could strike though, Commander Xue stepped in between the two. Dav Didn't see what happened next though, the exertion was too much for his body to handle, especially with the training he did earlier that day, and he Passed out.

Dav groaned as he woke up in the barracks of Ba Sing Se.

"Okay....I definately need more training before I try to pull that off again." Dav thought as he tried to get up.

"I wouldn't move if I were you" a voice said from his bedside. Dav looked through blurry eyes as he tried to make out who it was.

"Here," The voice said again as Dav felt someone putting his lasses on him. "This should help."

As his vision cleared, Dav saw Commander Xue sitting beside him.

"You still seem a little out of it." He said, "Rest here for the night and you can get your new orders in the morning."

Dav could only nod his head as sleep overcame him.

((It's okay! It happens mrgreen ))

Tsuzuki nodded, "It seems as though he'd be out soon seeing as he doesn't take that much pride in his personal hygeine."

She craned her neck down the hall a little and still heard loud splashes. Immediately, she returned her attention to Baolin and asked, "What sorts of things do they have in Ba Sing Se? I've never been here or any other Earth Kingdom city before so I wouldn't have the slightest clue as to what fun things go on."

As Dav awoke again, he found himself oddly refreshed. He still ached all over, mentally and physically, but it was a good ache. Dav felt somewhat accomplished at the feat he performed earlier in the day. He was by no means a weak bender, but it was a personal milestone for him to exert that much fine control.

So, he donned his trademark hat and decided that he deserved a treat...A present for him....From him! xd

"And that can only mean one thing...A nice stiff drink and a nice lady to share the experence with! biggrin " Dav thought as he walked into Ba Sing Se's Market Square.
PostPosted: Tue Jan 02, 2007 6:35 pm

"And thats when I bought the horse a prostitute!" Dav said with a flourish, ending his joke.

And the bar burst out into raucous laughter.

"This is the life" Dav thought. Good friends and good drinks almost always equals a good time.

"Ah to hell with you Earthbenders!" A drunken voice yelled from the far corner of the bar.

"Almost always...." Dav thought. Though he was a bit excited, a nice bar fight would liven his spirits a little bit.

"Yeah you heard me!" Yelled a man with short brown hair and a gaudy robe. "I say that yu earth benders are nothin but bums in green suits. None of you could ever hold a candle to me! Jaan! The Flame Exile!"

The patrons of the bar looked at eachother, none of them knowing who this nutjob was. Dav stood up just as someone else did. Dav looked him over and noticed that he was an off duty soldier as well. With a quiet motion, the man sat down and let Dav handle the problem.

"And what do you have to say? Ya little s**t! You're not even st-strong enough to be a bender. You wont stand a chance until you grow some hairs little man!"

"I think youve had enough to drink old man" Dav said, keeping his voice even as he uncorked his watersatchel. "I think you should leave"

"And what are you gonna do about it?" THe old man asked, drunken fire in his eyes.

Dav only smiled.

-----------------------------------

(OUTSIDE THE BAR)

All was quiet on the streets of Ba Sing Se until the door of the "Bronze Dragon Pub" Was blown off of its hinges as a stream of water pushed a haggard looking drunk outside.

Dav stepped through the door onto the streets. "Had enough?" He asked with a smirk as the water flowed around him.

"YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT KID! NO ONE INSULTS THE FIRE EXILE!!!!" The man yelled and sent a gout of fire straight at two girls talking.

Thinking quickly, Dav made a sweeping motion with his arms as he ran infront of the pair. The water followed the path his arms made and intercepted the fire.

"Either get out of the way or help!" Dav said to the pair as the old man readied another attack.

"Picking a fight with this old guy maaaaaay have been a mistake" Dav thought as he readied to fight.

Tsuzuki heard a bang outside of the house. Ignoring the fact that curiousity killed the cat, she ran to the door and opened it to find a fire bender fighting a water bender.

As the fire bender was about to strike two innocents wildly, she stepped in front of the blasts and took control over them. It was surprisingly easy to turn the blasts back into the fire bender's face to scare him off. She grinned happily as he tripped down the street and turned to the water bender, "Good job!"

She ran up to him and offered a friendly handshake while introducing herself, "Hey! Name's Tsuzuki. And you are. . . ?"

Dav looked at his short time comrade and tentitavely took her hand.

"Cole...Dav Cole is my name. Forgive my...hesitation. I haven't had the best luck with Firebenders today." Dav said as he straightened out his Earth Nation uniform. "and thanks for the help...I'm not at my best today. Would you care to join me for a drink...to make up for the trouble?" Dav said with a grin as he pushed up his glasses.

Tsuzuki smiled and, before she said anything, looked back towards Baolin's household. She was sure that he'd understand. She nodded and, as she followed him into the bar, she asked, "So, Dav, what's a water bender doing in Ba Sing Se?"
PostPosted: Tue Jan 02, 2007 7:12 pm

"Why, my civic duty!" Dav said with a snicker at his own joke."Honestly, I'm just a Bender who's a long way from home. A long time ago I got stranded here. I fell into the army and found my niche." Dav said with a look of nostalgia on his face.

"Do I regret putting my training on hold, yes. But it's not easy to train with out a waterbending master.' he said with a sad smile before snapping out of his funk. A little uncomfortable about opening up to someone new about his talents, he tried to shift the conversation a bit.

"So how about you, Three generations havent exactly bridged the gap between Fire and Earth. So what's an aspiring Fire bender doing here so far from home?"

[[ooc: sorry I haven't been able to post yet, it's been kind of busy during the holidays]]

Walking along the brick-laden road of Ba Sing Se, Tsuchi slipped his arms through the leather straps of his Giant Beaver Tortoise shell backpack. Pausing for a moment, he looked up. It was his first time in Ba Sing Se, or in any other city for that matter. He left his city of Lao Lu Se a week ago in hopes to start anew.

"Excuse me," a small voice came from behind him, "Are you an Earth Kingdom soldier?"

Tsuchi turned around to see the small child standing behind him. Smiling with a tooty grin, he looked no older than six years; yet, he seemed to have comprehension of the world.

"I'm sorry," spoke the child's mother as she took him by the hand, "He's very inquisitive. . . "

"It's quite alright," Tsuchi said giving her a reassuring smile. "No little one, I'm not a soldier."

The mother appologized again and parted ways. He started walking, chuckling to himself; after all, he was carrying two weapons visible to all. Although unorthodox to his style of bending, he studied the basics of the dual dao and twin tiger head hook swords from Moujin's half brother: Mori. In addition to his two offensive weapons, he kept a pair of rattan handled butterfly swords concealed between him and his backpack. It was bound to happen, he thought to himself. He grabbed the strap of the tiger head hook swords; they had been wrapped in clothe and slung over his left shoulder. Patting the scabbard of the dao attached to his belt, he smiled and continued walking along the road.

"Er, wait, Tsuzuki!" Baolin called, hurrying after the two of them. He had always ridiculed Zayiya for being so formally pretentious about manners... perhaps he hadn't appreciated her enough.

He turned to the soldier and bowed.

"Hello, sorry I'm intruding, I'm Baolin."

"Baolin, was it? A pleasure to meet you. My name is Dav, I'm an Soldier here in Ba Sing Se," Dav looked at Tsuzuki before grinning and looking at the boy.

"And I can only assume you're with the beautiful lady here?"
