He couldn't help but cheer up just a fair little when Vara made her way over to him once more, looking to her through his bangs as she just glitzed herself ever so more in the purple glitter that almost oozed from his self. Sighing a bit, he atleast attempted to smile for her, which came out odd and still very burdened, as he sung out just slightly so to her. "Well, then it fills me with happiness that you find the sun wonderful today."
But at the others words, Thelx could feel his soul lurch when the one eyed gaze befelled on him, knowing all too well where this would go, almost as if he could foretell the future. Taking a deep breath, he let his gaze fall again as he sort of leaned on his best friend. "Ehya... I may as well, seeming as everyone else can feel it." he murmured, before looking to her again. "Vara... I've... well.. I've liked you since we were whelps. Back when you were still black furred - like the sun in my life - only girl besides my siblings to take me serious." he confessed, which just made his soul feel more concrete, and yet.. a little more .. warm.
"And I don't mean.. best friend like either, although, I do still care for you like a best friend.. but.. more.. like, love like." he stammered, making his song trip - which made him sound more miserable and caring than ever. He wasn't the brotherly Thelx, this was the internal thelx coming out. It would have been a hell of a lot easier alone - he mused internally. But then it sort of hit him. "Although, it's apparent that I am too late in the figuretive race to win your heart, it seems." he finished, barely a whisper for her to hear alone.

Vara turned from Nanaki as he spoke to her and looked at Thelx, waiting or him to tell her what he needed to tell her. She sat down, and listened as her best friend confessed how he had loved her since they were children. Her ears flattened gently against her head. At his last statement, she sort of flinched and glanced back at Nanaki. This wasn't good. She wondered how he'd take it. Right now though, she stared at Thelx, speachless. After heaving a heavy sigh she smiled weakly at him. "Why didn't you ever tell me?"
Mentally, Vara beat herself up for being so oblivious to her friend's feelings. He is her best friend. She is supposed to know things like this. Right? Her eyes fell to the ground and her paw played with a blade of grass. "I'm sorry for not realizing." She then glanced at Nanaki again, hoping not to upset him as well. She didn't need to upset two males in one day.

As Vara looked at him, he offered her a small, weak smile. "Don't worry about me..." He murmured, though his ears flattened a bit with tension. "Just...talk to you friend..."
Pausing, he'd glance around the clearing, and then his gaze drifted towards Pippin. "Would you two like me to take Pippin over towards the water or something, so you two can talk in peace?" Red XIII offered, feeling a little awkward to be listening to two best friends talk like this.

As vara talked, he couldn't help but feel something was still off - even if he did finally confess to her - maybe because deep down inside the fates were jesting with him and something would in the end come out very... unwanting. Never the less, he smiled just a little when he noticed her reaction to him, a sad smile that only tightened when he herd the other voice drift over to the two, as the gaze shifted to Nanaki, and then to the grass.
He didn't really want to say it, but he felt it'd be easier for them to talk alone.. looking to his friend again, he hoped she caught his drift..

Vara looked over and Pippin, who was sitting quietly next to Nanaki, then back to Thelx. "Um." She examined Thelx for a moment then turned back to Nanaki. "Yea, go take Pippin over to the water to play, Nanaki. Thanks." She waited for them to be gone, before turning back and joked slightly with Thelx. "I caught on that time." She gave him a soft nuzzle, hoping to lighten his spirits a bit.
Meanwhile, Pippin walked along with Nanaki, grumbling to himself a bit. "How come I have to leave at the good part?!" He huffed and stomped along next to the large male. But, that grudge didn't stay with him long. Pippin gasped and smiled at Nanaki. "Hey! What if Thelx scoops Vara up and they go and elope!? Will you burst in on the wedding like..." He stood up on his hide legs dramatically. "I OBJECT!!!" He waved his paws for some extra drama then lowered himself back down. "And then...then go in and take Vara away, and be in some everlasting loop of love with Thelx and Vara?!" He stared up at Nanaki, his fur beginning to puff up with excitement.

With a small nod, Nanaki turned silently to lead the kit away towards the water.
He didn't bother looking at Pippin while he spoke, as other things were obviously on his mind, but once he sat down, he looked towards the kit. "I don't think...I would do that. It wouldn't be right of me, if Vara really does love that guy." He motioned towards him.
"Besides, to do something like that, I'd probably be hurting two, if not three Feli. Vara, who may be unhappy, Thelx, who without a doubt would be unhappy, and me, for taking Vara away from Thelx." He shrugged.
"She'll have to decide. In a way, neither Thelx or my opinions or choices will matter in this. It's up to Vara."

Watching the firepelt and the hobbit walk off, the siren almost felt as if a small, very small burden had slowly been taken off his chest. When the voices of the other two were very faint and almost unaudible to his keen ears, he turned to her once more, only to hear her remark and give off a small chuckle before lifting his head just a little to continue the conversation, his mood only lightening up to the smallest degree.
"Thank you. And.. I've always wanted to tell you, that is, that I've liked you for so long - but I've always found that the right time was always the wrong time due to the fact that you weren't there, and the wrong times, should have been the right times, because when you were around, I'd want to say it, but.. I'm slightly.. shy I suppose." he murmured to her, the truth falling out like a waterfall. Shuffling a bit, he kept his gaze down to her, "I was always worried that, if I was to tell you.. you wouldn't feel the same way and then it would be awkward and I would lose my greatest and true friend."

Pippin blinked at Nanaki. That hadn't exactly been the reply he was looking for. He sighed and rolled his eyes a bit. "So, what will you do if she chooses Thelx? You wouldn't put up a fight?" He shuffled along side the water, glancing into the bottom, watching various fish flick by. Though he had asked him a question, it didn't seem he cared to much for an answer. He poked his paw into the water, finding it amusing as the fish scattered in various directions. But, he regained his focus and looked at Nanaki, as if waiting for his answer.
Vara shook her head in reply to Thelx's last comment. "You wouldn't lose me, and you still haven't." She paused and looked around, thoughtfully. How was she supposed to make him understand that she doesn't favor one male over the other. She took a deep breath and continued. "I'm sorry for not being around. And..." She pawed at the ground sheepishly. "You shouldn't have been so shy. Maybe things would have turned out differently." The fact that Nanaki, nor Pippin was aroudn to hear that made it so much easier to admit. "It's not like I favor Nanaki over you just because he's..." She trailed off, choosing not to complete that sentence. "You're still my bestest friend. And you always will be...for as long as you'll have me."

"Again, it wouldn't be right of me to do so, would it?" He seemed far more serious then usual, as he turned his gaze onto Pippin. "Besides, It's not as if I dislike Thelx. I'm awkward around him because of all of...this...but if he's Vara's friend, he's obviously good person..."
Then, he shrugged. "Think of it this way, if you were in my place. Honestly, what would you do? Would you put up a fight, and risk hurting everyone in this...this...
Love triangle?"

He wasn't sure if he wanted to hear that, as his ears dropped behind his head, too tired from standing straight and hearing everything around them. "But, it is very hard to favor two together, for - sadly, it always goes in storylines that there is a prince charming and a princess, but never a third wheel in all of this." he stated, as he looked to the ground once more, finding the grass to be most wonderful to be staring at momentarily. He sort of knew he shouldn't have gone on that walk today. But taking a deep breath he continued what was running through his mind.
"And I know I'd never lose you as a best friend, we're bound for life, red string of fate - but known that the one who has my heart, feels for another, is a bit.. awkward, for lack of a better term. It's like.. war inside. I wish for you to be mine, but at the same time, I can't help to take his thoughts into consideration." he hymned to his feet as his mind unwound about the ideas and thoughts in his head and heart. "It's like being the living victim of a Catch 22. If you really do wish, I suppose I can stay your best friend forever, but alas, my feelings will still be here."

Pippin sighed a little and laid down. He chose not to answer Red XIII's questions. It's not like he really knew the answer to them anyway. Simply, he shrugged and said "I don't know". He slumped on his side and yawned. "So what are you going to do? You have to entertain me until Vara can play with me again."
Vara stared at the very grass the siren took to staring at, then looked up at the trees. "Thelx?" She thought for a moment. "I never meant to hurt you." She lowered her gaze to him. "I don't mind that you love me, but you deserve to find someone who can...do the same. I...I..." She stammered for a moment. "I mean, I love you too, but..." Her eyes wandered around. Oh boy, she was sticking all four of her paws in her mouth at once. Her face began to flush red with mild embarassment. Vara shooked her head a little and sat a paw on Thelx's. "I am yours in one way and I am also Nanaki's in another."

Perhaps playing with Pippin would get his mind off things...
Rising, he stretched a bit. "Sure, kid." Then, glancing towards the water, he rose a brow. "Want to go for a swim? I figure you don't like water, but there isn't much else to do here." He paused, before continuing. "And we could always have swimming races..."
"Unless you don't think you can win..." Trailing off, a small weak grin appeared on the male's maw as he looked at Pippin expectantly. "What do you say we do a relay race, or something? Run once around that tree..." He paused, to point towards a large tree that was nearby. "Run to the water, swim down that way, back up, and then the first Feli who gets to the same tree first, and touches it, wins?"

A small chuckle emitted from the feli, which made him kick his head back a bit when he heard his friend talk, his mind swimming quickly like a sea of sands, before his muzzle went a deeper shade of red behind the pink that laid on it. Not feeling up to talking - as his song had suddenly caught itself deep in his throat, unable to find the will to sing at the time, he swallow hard and nodded softly.
Nuzzling his friend softly, he lifted his body up and stared at her for a second, attempting to make eye contact before turning himself towards the treeline again. "I shall depart for awhile then, to let you have some time alone then. Best give time to think." He whispered to her alone, as he departed, the remnants of his purple glitter danced in the midday sun, having littered the area in which he had just been, the owner walking away from Nanaki's clearing, to find a place of his own, where he knew, he would think for a very very long while.
[OOC Note: He's gone for a bit, But I wanna keep watching 8D. Easy to find, he spills glitter everywhere that lasts awhile. But never the less, gives me a break <333]

Pippin rolled off of his side and stood up stretching. His eyes followed Red XIII's large paw to the tree he had spoken up, then he looked towards the water. "Heh! Looks easy enough." He waved a paw as if to say I could do that! "I'll beat you easily!" He wriggled his butt in the air then blurted out a quick "READYSETGO!" and galloped towards the tree.
Vara smiled a little when the male started to laugh, even though she was pretty sure he was chuckling at the none sence that had been released from her mouth a moment ago. She flushed a deeper red and giggled a little. Vara nuzzled her siren-friend back and follwed his lead, she stood up as well, staring at him. She watched his purple body left a trail of purple glitter behind him. "Bye, Thelxy." She turned and pushed her way through the shrubs, watching Pippin running around. That was a bit odd, but she crossed her front legs out in front of her and rested her chin on them, in thought. She had to find a way to keep Thelx AND Nanaki, without hurting either one of them.

"Wha- HEYKID! That isn't fair!" Mocking annoyance, he dashed after Pippin. Being older, with longer legs, the wild Feli caught up easily, running alongside Pippin.
Grinning, she swerved around sharply before even reaching the tree, using the very tip of his tail to touch the tree trunk as he started towards the water.
"Ha! Who's beating who now, kid?"
