Lisha looked wide eyed between the two. She was smaller and knew less than the other two. She had picked herself up when she and Karen had fallen to the floor, and hadn't spoken a word until, "Why are you two fighting???" she piped up finally.

Karen looked at Lisha. "It's none of your concern, Lisha. You should go back to bed."

Lisha put her hands on her hips, "She ran into me too. And I still don't see why you two are fighting!"

Karen glared at Rikkel.
"Fine," she said, turning to Lisha. "Let's go back to the tower. I've got my bag finally."

"Hmm, well I guess it's ok we're up so late since there aren't classes tomorrow," Karen said. "But, didn't you even try to make friends with the girls your age?"

Karen remembered her first year. She had been teased and made fun of. She never had friends either.
"Well you're not going to want to end up like I did, are you?" Karen asked, laughing a little.

Ellen walked into the great hall, still following the teacher and still draging her trunk. The teacher noted this and told her to wait there until she came back. Ellen shrugged adn let her trunk drop down. She sat ontop of it again and watched the stragglers in the hall talk and argue with each other. Her red eyes looked rather bored.

Rikkel watched the girls leave. Tears stung her eyes but she forced them back. This was her home. Her home. She had nowhere else to go. She felt that she did own the place. Her home had been invaded, she would get even with whoever stood in her way. Maybe I belong in Slytherin, she thought.
Rikkel didn't feel like going back to the tower, so she walked back into the hall, and saw that it was not empty. She went over to the girl and said in the most friendly voice she could manage, "Hi, I'm Rikkel and you are?"
