Of course he needed to leave. He was being a p***k, as usual. So she was kicking him out again. Without bothering to turn around, he leaned back on one hand, the other scratching the back of his head lazily.

"Y'know I can't. Lord Hardass said I have to stay with you, and stay with you I will," Emyrus yawned carelessly. So what if his attitude pissed her off? She could deal with it. Not like they had much of a choice.

With a hasty sigh, Fidel quickly walked over to him and tugged at his shirt. Her expression was still one of panic as she spoke.

"You have to leave." she persisted. A shudder ran through her as she felt Lord Vash's emotions twirl into a fantastic recipe of wrath and spite. When murder was on one's mind, their emotions were overwhelming. The girl shivered again before turning and tugging more forcefully on the liar's shirt.

"Come on!" she pleaded.

Emyrus sighed, letting her tug him to his feet. What the hell was she thinking? It didn't matter what she was thinking, really, because he couldn't leave. That would be disobeying orders, and as much as he would love an excuse to, he couldn't. Minor orders - all right. He could put off fetching a document or something, yeah, but something like "stay with Fidel at all times?" Not exactly something he had an option with.

"I can't, Fidel. Get that through your thick skull," Emyrus scowled, shoving his hands deep into his pockets.

Fidel huffed and stamped her foot on the ground impatiently. He didn't get it, did he?

"Fine!" she shouted, and she grabbed him by the arm and teleported swiftly out of the White Building, hoping that Lord Vash wouldn't see the black feather left behind. The petite girl opened her eyes and let go of Emyrus's arm, still glaring at him. The familiar, intoxicating scent of incense made her sigh, and her body unwillingly relaxed. Sometimes she couldn't think clearly when she was in the mansion, if only because of the damned incense. Shaking her head, she looked up and glared at Emyrus again.

"There. I'm with you now. Happy?" she scowled. It was a rhetorical question, because, obviously, Emyrus would not be happy being around her. Her soul muttered something, but she ignored it.

"Yes, quite~" he hummed, taking a deep breath of the incense. He always did love the intoxicating effect it had, he mentally admitted while relaxing. There was something about how sweet the incense was in this house, in comparison to his old "home." Emphasize on the quotation marks. There, the incense had always been so... oh, how to describe it. It smelled like they were burning pickled ginger.

He hated the smell of ginger.

The girl pursed her lips, stubbornly looking off to the side.
"You're such an idiot," she muttered, then looked up, smirking. "I wouldn't do that if I were you," she suggested, referring to the incense. "You never know what it could do to you."

Just look at Lord Evanescere. She smirked to herself, then raised an eyebrow archly at her artificial counterpart.

Fidel hummed, making her eyes appear wide and innocent as she turned on her heel to face the liar. "Emyrus," the girl tilted her head to the side subconsciously, curiosity obvious, "how did you get here in the first place?" It was a general question, which probably implied a lot of things. They had time to kill, she was stuck with him, and her femininity was evident. Her clothes were too large for her now, but she couldn't risk putting more suitable attire on, considering the fact that they were in Lord Evanescere's mansion, and he could teleport in front of them at whim. The thought of him discovering that she had been hiding from him--from everybody, really--and that she wasn't really a he made her shudder.

No thank you.

He probably should have known she would ask sooner or later. It was common in Pendant, really. Shady organization members with blackened lungs from smoking a variety of drugs, hacking as they asked how each other ended up in this position.

Or maybe no one really was like that, and he was just being overly dramatic.

Inwardly, Emyrus shuddered at the idea of telling Fidel how he came to be under this crazy earl. Would she feel it, through this equally insane connection. He looked at her with a broad grin, and laughed.

"That's a wonderful question! You see, I'm not from Pendant. Evanescere kidnapped me from my home town of Charm and made me work for him, under the conditions that he would keep my family ignorant," he lied obviously. What did she expect from him, anyway? He agreed to change, granted, but she never did specify how much. He was Emyrus Gratia, greatest liar in Pendant, and had a reputation to uphold, after all.

Alright, so he could admit to making horrendous mistakes that he still regretted to this day. In fact, the noble still cringed if they were even brought up, whether in his memories, or verbally. He could not, however, grasp this ridiculous outburst from his counterpart.
Vash stared blankly at the recently slammed door. What...just happened? He sighed, running a slim hand through his hair, and shook his head. Sudden outbursts of anger directed toward him. Perhaps, if he told Fidel the symptoms, she could find a cure. That is, if Halycon were sick. Silently, he fretted. Sick? Well, sick in the head, yes, but he was too, so it didn't really matter. The noble grinned an off kilter grin.
Let's see...he hadn't forgotten the boy's birthday, he had given him everything he wanted for Christmas, and there was enough sweets in stock to feed every needy child in Pendant. He wracked his mind for something else, in case he had missed something.
It wasn't Easter yet, was it?
"Anakera," he called out. "Are you there?"

If there was anything to call Vash, it was idiot. Or moron, or dumbass, or a manner of other things, but he thought he would stick with idiot for a while. His nose was wrinkled as he stalked down the hall, subordinates moving hastily out of the way for him. He wasn't one for anger quite often, but when he was mad, there was no stopping him. Dismay threw the door to his room open and slammed it as hard as he could, hoping it knocked something off the wall next door. He locked it, knowing full well that Vash could get in if he really wanted to, but the locked door would give a clear message, if only because he never touched that lock. Not since all those years ago, when things were so very different.

He was refusing Vash because Vash had got way out of line.

Dismay never thought of himself as much of one for borders, or limits, but he kissed her. Kissed Fidel. Not only was that disgusting, but Vash would have to be blind to not noticed the savage hatred he had for her. Huffing angrily, he flopped down on the bed, staring at the wall. He picked up a pillow and threw it across the room, knocking a picture off the wall.

Of course she knew what was happening, and what had started it. She thought Halycon was taking it a little too personally, but she never did quite understand their situation. Of course, they had a very odd relationship, too. A soul connection, a very twisted one at that, and with all both had been through? It was a given that they would cling to each other, be dependent on one another to continue on. Anakera closed her eyes, dipping her head with a small smile as she teleported from from the side of one of Evonne's masters, Mandy. She always very much enjoyed her company, and though they never actually talked much, there was something pleasant about simply being in the girl's vicinity. The child had seen so much, been so bruised, changed so drastically, but her original, innocent self was still hidden under all the distrust. As the two sat side by side, she practiced wheedling that innocence back out. Oh yes, she had made progress, but Mandy knew as well. She allowed her to bring out what she said to everyone else was "a disgrace," but only as long as they were alone. If anyone else came in, she was thrown off.

With a small shower of rain that evaporated upon hitting the floor, Anakera lifted her head and opened her eyes, still smiling at her master.

"How may I be of service, Vash, my dear?"

Vash winced as he heard the smashing from next door. He looked tentatively at the boy's door, before turning to Anakera.
"Anakera," he greeted her politely. She was female, after all.
"Ah, did I miss something?" he asked, glancing quickly at Halycon's door again. The noble felt a bit helpless, and he didn't take to this particular emotion very well. But Anakera was his wishgranter, and probably knew what was going on already.
...Although, it seemed like everyone but him knew what he had done. Inwardly, the emerald-eyed man sulked.
It wasn't like his counterpart to blow up, slam doors, and throw a general hissy fit. Actually, it would have been endearing, if it weren't for the fact that said hissy fit was directed at him.
Naturally, that was how it worked out. It seemed like even the smallest things gave him bad luck anymore.

She looked over at wall that connected this room to Halycon's, if only because something just crashed inside. When she looked back at Vash, she could almost see Halycon's fit wasn't effecting him kindly. She sighed, putting a hand on her hip.

"He's just a little mad that you kissed Fidel," she said, voice musical. "I think it was something along the lines of how you completely and utterly stepped over a boundary."

She looked him square in the eye, face blank. He really didn't understand much about other people, did he?
PostPosted: Sat Dec 22, 2007 5:31 pm

In the very inner depths of his mind, the noble made a strict blood pact never to kiss another individual ever again . Of course, he liked Fidel, but romance had never once crossed his mind, even when he was younger. He had been too busy coping with his soul connection with Halycon, his father, and his obsession--oh, and not to mention his nightmares and frequent lack of sleep. Insanity settled in quite nicely after a few years, as well, along with his sharp possessiveness of the boy he had just thoroughly pissed off a few moments ago.
Vash looked up at Anakera again.
"I wasn't aware of any boundary." Possessiveness, sure, but that was...just him, wasn't it? He narrowed his eyes and leaned on one arm of the chair.
Wasn't it?

Anakera rolled her eyes. Hopeless. Complete and utterly hopeless.

"Vash, everyone has a breaking point. You can only push a person so far before you say or do the wrong thing, and something like this happens," she explained, cocking her head to the right. Was he really that slow? "And surely you wouldn't appreciate it if he went out and kissed someone you hated."
PostPosted: Sat Dec 22, 2007 5:57 pm

Vash looked away, irritation clear on his face. His eyes flashed. Just the thought made him want to eat somebody's soul. Of course, his core had been restored, courtesy of his wishgranter, and that insatiable obsession was gone now, so eating the souls of his...beloved subordinates wasn't entirely necessary anymore. The noble assumed it was out of habit that he did it from time to time.
He stood, deciding it was probably best to explain the reason why he had done such a thing in the first place. Vash took one step towards the door before a light knock and a familiar presence stopped him.
"Lord Vash?" Fidel. He sighed. Thank you, thank you, for the once again brilliant luck he was having.
"Come in, Fidel." he replied. The subordinate sighed and placed a huge stack, what appeared to be twice her size, on his desk with a resounding thump! He arched an eyebrow, and she beamed.
"This is all of Sir Halycon's paperwork, stacked, signed, and organized," she explained, rubbing her sore back. She had chosen to keep true to her actual appearance, which, now that he saw her completely, was incredibly petite.
"Thank you," he said sincerely. Halycon didn't need anymore paperwork anyway. In fact, he probably shouldn't be doing any.
