I Love The Dead - Alice Cooper... just kidding

actually:

Hallowed be Thy Name - Iron Maiden

Eulogy - Judas Priest

Cemetery Gates - Pantera

Another Bridge to Cross - BLS

Obscured, Winter (requiem, ch. 3: finale), and Innocence and Wrath - Celtic Frost

and then after those relatively peaceful songs, id want something totally heavy and anti-religion to a) send me off, and b) piss off my catholic mother. i'm thinking Ain Elohim or Synagoga Satanae by Celtic Frost, or maybe something by Gorgoroth. or just maybe ill go for the offensive and leave out the anti-god and have Angel of Death by Slayer played...or maybe something by Exodus. not really sure what i want to send me off actually, but its gotta be heavy, either ultra-slow or ultra fast, moshable, and offensive to non-metalheads and religious type people.

i actually thought about this yesterday, kinda wierd.

Die With Your Boots On- Iron Maiden
Fade To Black- Metallica
Sadness will Sear- Trivium
Twilight of the Gods- Helloween
Hallowed Be Thy Name- Iron Maiden
Redneck- Lamb of God

The first two, self explanatory, the third, it's a cool song and a suitable mood for a funeral. The fourth, I need a Helloween song at my funeral, and the fifth, my third favorite song of all time. The last, it would just be great for my final song.

I would hope that the crowd would start a mosh pit during the first. What greater honor than to have a pit at your funeral?

Agreed with moshable and heavy and ticks off others.

definately "my way" by Frank Sinatra is an awesome choice... but I'd have to think this over

Just as the thread title states:

'If I died tomorrow
I'd be alright because I believe
that after we're gone
the spirit carries on'

That being said, I'd use 'The Spirit Carries On' by Dream Theater.

Ethereal Cereal

It's not origional. but Orion instramental.

I just remembered, they played that at Cliff Burton's funeral. After the accident in Sweden. If you don't know who Cliff is, then ask.

Then you shouldn't really be in this guild. mad I mean, I don't like Metallica, but I would think 9/10 of people know who he is.

azeil_death
in this river by black label society. Its all about death anyway

Yeah, and it was written while Dime was alive, but then when he died, before it was released they made it piano as a tribute to Dime. Zack Wylde was good friends with Dime and looked up to him as a mentor.

I was going to put that, but I didn't want to be rude, because not EVERYONE knows who he is, but thanks for doing the dirty work for me! blaugh
