My mum knows i love it and was going to get me the dvds but the are only avaliable in the US crying

I'm just wondering, for the sake of curiosity, what do your parents think about Invader Zim?

My parents are indifferent, but they don't really like the 'dark' colors and themes of the story...

Here's some dialogue I thought was fun:

Dad: Lemme see that DVD we got you for your birthday
Me: *runs into my room to get DVD*
Dad: 'Horrible Holiday Cheer' ... So, is this like the Nightmare Before Christmas
Me: No, that was creepier (I have bad memories of that movie...) But I like this one, because it has my favourite character in it. *points to Almighty Tallest Purple*
Dad: It looks just the same as all the other characters
Me: No he isn't! He's tall! And purple!
Dad: Oh... okay... *rolls eyes and walks away*

My birthday is today. WORSHIP ME!!!

Nightmare befor x-mas scared me to...wah... crying
I showed my mom my favorite charectar:
Me: Mommy! This one has DIB in it!! WHEEE! (Dances around with the dvd)
Mom: Woah, whats up with his hair? Does he gel it or something?
ME:I dunno. Can I get my hair like that?
Mom: No.
ME: aww...can I get my hair like that? (Points to Gaz)
Mom: Maybe for halloween... stare
ME: YESH! Aww...but i was gonna be zim for halloween....
Mom: Whatever.
Me: Dib is MINE! WHOOOOO! (run upstairs)

My b-day is on FRIDAY!

my mom will laugn and chortle along with me. we have great fun. my dad kind of stares at the screen blankly probably asking himself what he has spawned or maybe why he is still alive. 3nodding

My aunt finds ZIM really disturbing (being that she's only seen Dark Harvest). My mom just watches the TV screen for a moment and looks at me with a kind of 'how did this creature come out of my womb' kind of look, but says nothing. My mom's boyfriend says what he always says: "What nonsensical drivel." Even my brothers find it strange (and they're both really weird human beings).

My mom watched this one episode that the Irken shocked this alien thing. She said "too violent" and shut the tv off. I never figured out what the episode was called. Since then I watched it in secret. Gaahh!!!...My mom only watched 30 seconds of it!!!

My parents dont care one bit. My dad thinks I need to grow up and stop watching cartoons but all he watches are rap videos and law shows with my mom.
My aunt saw Plague of Babies and she laughed and got grossed out when the babies were pulling off Zim's fake eye.

Happy birthday!

My parents have watched it before (whenever I get a DVD, they watch it. They're parinoid it won't be good for me and will poison my mind with horrid filth! They do it with all DVD's...).

They found some parts funny, but the rest they didn't really like. Not like "YOU SHOULD NOT BE WATCHING THIS" kind of not like . They just didn't care for it. Said it was... stupid and somewhat boring. Then they said, "If you like it... then you can keep it".

So yeah, my parents don't care for it much.

my mom went into hot topic at xmas time and was like what is this invader zim that my daughter wants? she left with most everything they sell for zim and all three dvds. but shes never seen it. since she didnt like squee i doubt shed like zim either.
