Trotting quickly across the grassy divides between duplexes, Gaius made his way to the Village center, stopping first to get a bottle of pain killers, then on to the cafeteria, where he piled up a plate with a number of things. Fried chicken, bananas, a cooked steak, cookies, smoked salmon, anything he could think of, not really knowing what'd settle the lizard-man. He was just about to leave again when he remembered the water and spun around, grabbing a couple waterbottles, which he secured under his arms, and headed back in the direction of Victor's duplex.
Once he got there, he paused and lightly tapped the back of his hand on the door as he'd been requested, then reached for the doorknob. The guy must've been sensitive about his change, but it couldn't be that bad... Opening the door a crack, Gaius called in ahead of himself, "Heeey, it's just me, Gaius. I got the stuff you wanted... Can I come in?"

Victor was still working on his impromptu cloak when Gaius knocked on the door, and then opened it a crack. The lizardman was as ready emotionally and mentally as he was going to be, and he could also smell and taste the food Gaius had brought with him and it caused the hunger pains to come back, the three apples that he had weren't even close to what his body demanded after almost three days of not being able to eat.
"Y-yeah you can come in" he was still hiding on the far side of the bed, bending his head down and held the sheet up to try and cover his lower mouth and chest arms

Gaius opened the door fully, peering into the dark room. The air was pretty stagnant, probably from being closed off for a while. Though he'd heard Victor's voice, there wasn't any sign of the guy anywhere...
"Vic? You okay, pal? Where are you at?" He closed the door a little behind him with a free foot, then moved farther into the room, head bobbing as he looked around. "Listen, I know it was probably a change... no one asks for painkillers except for after that... You're going to have to come out at some point!" His voice was friendly and coaxing. He was just doing what the horse-man thought would be best for the guy... "Best face the inevitable sooner than later, right?"

Victor remained where he was, he didn't want to move, he didn't want to 'face the inevitable' as Gaius had said. The lizardman had managed to calm himself down enough so he wasn't choking on words while he spoke, be he was silent for a while before speaking up.
"I'm here....you can leave the thingssss and go if you want" He said from his spot on the other side of the bed. Victor did want Gaius' company, but didn't want the horse man to think he was a (monster) freak.

The plate wobbled in his hand as he took another step towards the bed, where the voice seemed to be coming from. Not on the bed, that was clear, but it looked like the sheet had been pullled off, towards the other side...
"You sure?" He furrowed his brows, glancing at the table beside the bed. It'd be easy to leave the food, the guy could get it when he wanted, and that bed was calling Gaius... But the horse-man knew that if he left now, he'd forever wonder afterwards about the guy, and that would make sleep useless.
Edging around the end of the bed, he managed to get a glimpse of scaled tail. "You're not hurt, are you? Did you fall on something...?"

Victor shook his large head as he tried to turn himself around so he could at least look at Gaius, keeping his head bowed towards the floor. "No...I'm not ssssure of anything anymore" there were still visible tear streaks down the sides of his face, but he had stopped crying for now
"I can't walk, everything'ssss different, sssscrewed up" the second mouth, the one visible to Gaius, moved slightly while Victor spoke, but it was obvious that Victor couldn't be speaking from it, it looked like a ventriloquist's trick

Gaius missed some of the scuttling movement, having not gotten far enough around the bed, and Victor had already turned when he was able to get a better look at the guy. All that he could see, though, was largely lumpy sheet, the long tail curving out one end, and a snout peaking out the other, with a couple eyes hidden under the folds somewhere. Gaius cringed. Poor guy, growing that snout must have been hell. No wonder he was so self-conscious.
If only Gaius knew...
He took another step closer, watching the guy with concern. "Can't walk? I know how that is... but don't worry, it's just a matter of getting your balance again. I couldn't walk right for the longest time after my last change. Now look what I can do!" With a silly grin, Gaius lifted one foot off the ground, so that he was balancing on the pad of one long foot, something he never could have attempted a month ago. However, it didn't last long as he wobbled, the plate threatening to tip. "Eyack!" He grabbed it quickly, but lost one of the waterbottles in the process, which bounced to the floor and rolled towards Victor.
"Eerk, sorry about that..." Gaius apologized sheepishly.

Victor shook his large head again, the fold of the sheet covering part of his head starting to slide back. "No...I can walk but I can't...sssstand" Victor tried to explain, and looked towards Gaius as he tried to stand on one foot, then Gaius wobbled, and for a moment Victor was worried that the horseman was going to fall down on top of him.
As that waterbottle fell and bounced, Victor instictively raised his foreleg to prevent the bottle from hitting him, but at the same time, the sheet fell back, allowing Gaius to get a good look at his twin mouths, and the chest arms.
The lizardman froze when he realized what happened "Gaiussss..." Victor started, then stopped, his second mouth opening and closing.

Gaius froze in the act of squatting, reaching for the bottle. The first thing he saw was the hand – no, foot, that caught the rolling bottle, gleaming claws where should have been fingers. His eye traveled up, taking in everything. The extra limbs twisting and twitching from what would have been his chest. The ‘real’ mouth beneath that horrible snout, from which the voice of the creature issued. For his mind refused to process this twisted body as ‘Victor.’
As he stared, the horse-man’s face passed from a surprised expression to disgust, the lines etching deep around his nose, to utter horror.
When he found his voice, it was an involuntary thing, barely a half-whisper.
“No…”

Gaius' reaction was exactly what Victor feared would happen, the expression of surprise, disgust then finally horror. Those twisted limbs that protruded from his chest jerking a bit. Victor didn't want it to be like this, he didn't want Gaius to look at him like he was, it made the Lizardman feel sad, afraid and angry.
"Itsss sssstill me....." Victor half whispered as he feebly tried to pull the sheet back over himself, keeping his head bowed down so Gaius wouldn't have to look at both mouths. He had started to cry silent bitter tears, he dragging the sheet back to cover those chest arms, but at the same, exposing the extra set of legs that he had from his hips, and that he had no clothes on "Don't look at me"

It was too late, the part of Gaius' rational mind that connected the voice with the man had already been overridden by the sense of watching something that belonged in a horror movie or a nightmare. In his ears, it was growling and hissing that didn't sync with the movement of the larger mouth that moved in mimicry of the human mouth. What made it all worse, though, was the still-human features and recognizeability of the man.
And then that creature he'd been staring at moved.
That was the breaking point.
The plastic plate he'd been holding crashed to the ground, along with the other water bottle and pain killer bottle. At the same time, a high, inhuman scream issued from Gaius' throat, that horse-like bellow that Liamh had first been witness to. He scrambled backwards, stumbling to his feet. Without waiting for another movement from the lizard beast, he bolted for the door, throwing it open violently and scrambling out. Vixen, who'd been waiting out on the porch, lifted her head at the approaching noise, then lept to her feet at the sudden appearance of her master. He didn't bother to close the door after him, his long legs flying him across the village, not slowing until he was within sight of his own duplex.
Stumbling up the stairs, he fell to his knees inside the duplex and panted between sobs, and curled up, hugging his knees to himself. Oh god, what had he just seen...

Victor let out his own scream, a painfully human cry as Gaius ran away. Gaius, who Victor felt was someone that could have been a friend, had abandoned him, and in his fragile mental state, it hurt even more. The lizardman let himself lay his head down on the floor, sobbing, his breath hitching in his chest, if there was ever a time he wanted to curl up into a ball and just die it was right then. Victor had a breaking point as well, and he was hovering right above it.
The changed human lay in that sorry state until the pain in his stomach reminded him of just why he called Gaius in the first place. Some of the food managed to land on the bed, while the rest was on the floor. Victor slowly got himself up, getting his feet underneath him and slowly started to gather the food and water bottles, placing them all on the bed. Using his claws and legs, he managed to get back into bed, and pull the covers back up. he had forgotten the bottle of pills for now, but it probably was for the best, he most likely wouldn't be able to open the bottle.
Using the small hands attached to his chest arms he managed to bring the food to his lower mouth, eating it slowly before washing it down with water, then repeat the process, He was still upset, his eyes bloodshot from crying so much but the tears and sobbing had stopped. Victor took his time to eat all the food Gaius had brought over, pushing the trash and scraps off the right side of the bed and out of the way for now, he could clean it up later.
Before falling asleep, Victor pulled all the sheets around himself, covering himself once again as he laid on his side, placing his large head on the pillows and closing his eyes. The door was left open, the cold night air entering the duplex and cooling the air, but it didn't matter to Victor, nothing seemed to matter anymore. He wasn't going to be able to ever leave the island, not as a human anyway, his last transformation had taken any last hope he had he could get 'fixed' somehow. He was nothing but a monstrosity now, on an island of freaks.

Unexpected Guests Zachary pays Victor a vist
With the front door open over night, Victor's duplex became cold, slowing down the lizardman's metabolism, and made it more difficult for Victor to wake up, something he dreaded now, because he knew this nightmare he was now living wouldn't end, it could only get worse. The memories of Gaius's horrified expression, his inhuman scream and him running out the door were still painfully fresh in Victor's mind. His duplex was a mess, with leftover trash from last night in one corner, and the bedsheets tangled around him.
Victor wished he could just go back to sleep, but he couldn't, he needed to see himself, to see if really looked as bad as Gaius' expression and actions had told him. He was afraid to see, but he still needed to....assess the damage. Using his twisted limbs, he managed to pull-walk himself into the bathroom, he was still trying to learn how to use his limbs, those middle legs didn't do too much except get in the way. The altered man sat himself upright, hooking his forelegs into the sink to pull himself up while putting his weight back on his tail as he looked in the mirror.
What looked back wasn't him, it was the thing he had changed into, the freak, the one with two mouths and red bloodshot eyes
Victor dropped back to the floor, shuffling around as he found one of his old shoes, one that he would never wear again, using his foreleg he pushed it back into the bathroom, then hooked it in his claws and lobbed it hard into the mirror, managing to hit the bottom edge of the looking glass and that was enough for the mirror to shatter and break, most the fragments falling into the sink, others landing on the floor around close to Victor.
Victor held his head in his forelegs and chest arms, and started to cry again, it seemed the only thing he could do.
"I can't do thisssss... I can't live like..t-thissss"

Zach was restless. He wasn't diurnal, he wasn't nocturnal, and as long as his jaw continued to stay sore he wasn't going to be getting a good night's rest anyhow. After some procrastinating and taking a pain pill, he decided to go step outside and see if a short walk could take his mind off of his fears and frustrations. Every time he got socked in the face, it was only a matter of time before it happened again. He didn't like being so open to it. Getting punched hurt. There had to be an effective way to dissuade people from trying.
Dressed in his usual wardrobe of plain white pants and a thick white scarf, he headed outside. For a moment he had a strange deja-vu and braced himself for a cold night as he opened the door. Nothing but a slight chill met him, so he shrugged it off. It wasn't often this quiet in the village, not with eighty islanders, but in these strange hours of the night it seemed nothing but the jungle and the ocean could be heard. A storm of sorts had passed recently, leaving the sky clear and a veritable blanket of stars visible. He stepped down the stairs as fast as he could and wound his way between dark and silent buildings. The possibility of attack was ever-present in his thoughts, poisoning the night and making him look around constantly. He was thankful he could see in the dark.
As he walked past one of the duplexes he head a sound like shattering glass and started. What was that? A quick glance indicated an open door. He stayed still a moment, waiting for any follow-up noises. His curiosity pressed him too hard, so he wandered near and looked inside. He couldn't see anyone right away. Then there was a voice, tinged with hissing that just by the sound of it made him want to bite his tongue. He stepped through the doorway, waiting just on the inside of the duplex he'd entered. The opportunity was just too perfect. "Is everything okay in here?"

Victor was laying half in, half out of the bathroom, his head jerking up as he realized there was someone there, his tail shifting to the side as he tried to look back over his shoulder, to see who it could be, but he couldn't twist himself that far, probably for the best.
"No, nothingssss okay, everythingssss ******** up" Victor's second mouth opened and closed in that disturbing way as he spoke, the motion giving him a slight feeling of nausea. He remembered there was a bottle of pills there somewhere, probably rolled under the bed. Victor wasn't ready to get out to face whoever was there in his duplex. "I changed into a monsssster"
