kingpinsqeezels Kage Tsuki "So uh, how are you doing today?" "...I'm jewish." "Oh- uh. Right... bye."
Hah, that would make me giggle. People are silly sometimes. >.< It's more like: "Hey. What's up with the Jew star. Are you Jewish?" "Yeah. Why not! MAZEL TOV!" "Sorry about that. Can you speak Jew?" But for the most part, yes, they are silly. Sure, I speak Jew 3nodding

Proudly_Jewish I'm pretty neutral to Wicca, I guess. I actually have more respect for it than for Christianity and Islam, in fact, because Wiccans neither copied nor (as far as I know confused ) have ever persecuted Jews. As for the worshipping nature g-ds and dancing naked in the moon thing... to each his own, eh? I don't really mind as long as you're not required to kill/harm people or something, and I know you're not, so it's fine razz If you are not talking about Hashem, our G-D, you don't have to put a dash between the g and d.

I think wiccan is pretty cool cool before I went to camp and discovered I could have fun being Jewish, I wanted to be wiccan. There was a series that me and a few of my Christian friends loved that was about a wiccan girl, but sadly, I'm having trouble remembering the series. The first one was like 'Blue is for nightmares' and such... They were a really good series, butt it really opened my eyes to wiccan.

Galadedrid Damodred I have asked this question the Christian and Satanist guilds. The Satanist guild (surprisingly) was much more understanding. What do devout Jews such as yourself think of my religion: Wicca? I worship nature gods and goddesses, celebrate solstices and equinoxes, dance naked under full moon (the nudity is optional) and am celebrating Hallowe'en by lighting candles and incense and chanting a soft mantra. (And yes, I cast spells). THe Jesus Freaks guild seems to think that all practitioners of witchcraft are Satanists. We are not. There is no devil in the Craft: in fact, most Wiccans don't even acknowledge his existence. So what do you th ink of my fatih? Edited because it was stupid, inflammatory, and ignorant.

Okay- stop now. Not only was that uncalled for, but you have spammed the guild. Everybody is entitled to their own beliefs; we're Jews. We know what it's like to have people hate you for them. So never do that to another- do you have any idea how hypocritical that is?
Also, no swearing the guild. There are young people here, and if we discuss mature topics, it has a warning in front of it. There was no need for that, and I don't think there ever is.
Finally, ever bothered to actually see what her beliefs are? You can't adequately get an idea of what it's like with one paragraph.
This is a warning before I ban you. Cool off.

To Sean:
I'm pretty disgusted by you. Not only should we be more aware of religious persecution, considering how much our own religion has been persecuted, but hatred without reason goes against Judaism itself. Take your own advice and read the Torah, and tell me where it says "hate religions that are different".

I'm not going to bother quoting CoolKidSean91, because we've all seen what he said, and the foul language in which he said it.
I'd say he got his "one warning" by reading our guild's opening info page. Three bannable offenses: language, spamming, and intolerance of our non-Jewish visitors. If you're wondering if there will be a huge outcry if you ban this unpleasant person, I will just guess that there will not be. This isn't what we are supposed to be about, as Jews. "You shall welcome the stranger and the outcast, for you yourselves were strangers in the land of Egypt." Wiccans are often just as outcast as we are, and if one comes to us as a stranger, may stay as a friend -- if we show ourselves to be the "light to the nations" that we're supposed to be, by welcoming them as our guests instead of expressing such disgusting vitriol.

I'm sorry that it came to the ban-or-quit stage. If he'd stuck around, he might have learned something. I hope he learns somewhere else.
