"Well... it could be a small space, but it has to be even enough for my feet to stand right." Wriggling one small foot, she added, "So right now, it could even be on a tree branch if I could see enough clear space and something to hold onto?"
Pteryx's face fell a bit. Oh. So this woman wouldn't be any fun... but maybe, if some rescuers came, they could use one of them? She'd like to go to one, she could vaugely remember the Arena and being told about it. Stories about it, even chants. "What if we use one other Sun Court fey, they are coming for her, right? But for now, maybe I could go see this woman. If she does not shine brightly like the bad sun."

She needed a less landing space than he did, thought Lupinus, with just the tiniest bit of envy. His greater weight and lack of glide wings meant he'd be much less adept in the air by the time she'd had time to grow into her talents.
"Yes... yes, I'm sure we could use one of the fey who will attempt to rescue her. Surely they will send their strongest and cleverest fighters. Though perhaps they are so weak that this female and that male were their best." That would be disappointing, he thought, to have such weak opponents, and see such poor sport in the Arena.
As for going to see the prisoner... "We'll just have to cover your eyes if she is too bright. It will be a good experiment, anyway-- you'll have to face Sun fey sooner or later, and now we can see how much this one alone affects your eyes." He turned back to head indoors. "Shall we go see her now then?"

"Maybe they are very weak... then we could get more than one, and put them in the arena together." Pteryx wasn't put off by the idea of many weak fey coming, she did find the image in her head amusing. A bunch of slightly glowing fey standing around, scratching their heads and looking stupid like some pictures she'd seen.
She glanced up at Lupinus, nodding eagerly as she reached out to take his arm in her smaller one. "Yes, let's go see her. I want to see what they look like."

"Yes," he agreed. "Or we could let them watch each other fight." That would probably be as entertaining as the actual fighting, watching the reactions of the watchers. The Sun fey were weak-minded; he doubted they'd hold up well to seeing their fellow court members hurt, and the fact that they'd be too weak to do anything about it... yes, this was sounding better all the time.
And there Pteryx was, holding onto him again. He didn't mind too much, he supposed. As long as she grew out of it eventually.
"This way," he said, leading the way to the dungeons.
((Shall we jump over to the dungeon thread now? ^^))

Lupinus We've captured a female Sun Court fey, but so far there isn't much of import to tell. She has said little, even under Aranea's influence. Not that we expected to get much out of her, as she appears to be nothing but a commoner, and therefore expendable. Still, it would have been nice to listen to her betraying her friends. There's still a chance something might come of this. I wonder, expendable though she appears, the Sun Court might risk a good deal to get her back. Perhaps we can goad them into doing something even more foolish than usual.
There have been more children awakened of late. Our numbers are steadily increasing, and soon we will be equal in number to the Sun Court, I believe. The children show promise, especially Pteryx. The little blue one whose name escapes me seems somewhat flighty... perhaps the result of a weakened bloodline?
At any rate, only time will tell with the children. I must be off, there are things at hand much more important that scrawling in a notebook.

Aranea had finally left her chambers, reluctantly especially after the development in Feles' and her relationship. Her mouth twisted into a smile, and she tugged absentmindedly on strand of her fine hair, nails from one hand scraping across the stone walls as she walked along the corridors of the quarter of the Castellum where the Moon Fey were roomed. She wondered whose chamber she was near? Lupinus? She had a mind to speak to him after all - he too needed to know about what had happened to Feles during his capture. But she wasnt sure exactly which door was his. She walked slower now, a finger tapping a smooth cheek.

Lupinus paced back and forth, restless. He needed to be doing something, but things were so quiet now. Half considering stirring up some kind of trouble just for something to do, he at last settled on just getting out of his rooms for now; must be cabin fever. He opened the door and stepped out quickly, almost walking straight into Aranea. He stopped, the door swinging closed behind him. "Lost, are you?" he asked; not likely, but she did seem to be looking for something.

Her pulse quickened and she made a grab for the dagger she kept on her person but it was just Lupinus that had abruptly appeared before her; 'I do not get lost..' she said, reaching out and straightening a curled section of his long hair. She smiled at him. 'I was actually looking for you. I have not managed to procure an audience with Majestrix Nox so it is best I tell you whilst I wait.'

"Of course not," he agreed. "Didn't mean to startle you, but I wasn't expecting anyone to be there." She looked much better than she had before, back when Feles had been gone. He was vaguely surprised that she'd been looking for him, and curious as to what news there was to be had. Had something else happened that he was not aware of? "The Majestrix can be elusive when she wants to be. What is it?" He pushed the door behind him open again. "If it's going to take a while, we can sit down if you want."

'Were you not heading out somewhere? We can talk and walk if you wish?' she ran a finger along her skin just under her collarbone, flirting a little for fun.

"I was on my way out, yes. And I would rather walk." His gaze dropped to the finger she was running across her pale skin. Very nice. "You look your best when you're moving anyway," he said. "All silk and steel, to be cliche about it."

Aranea noticed where his eyes went and smiled again. showing white teeth. She walked away from him down the corridor, then turned slightly, looking back over her shoulder at him. 'Watch me often then do you?' she asked, her tone teasing.

One side of Lupinus's mouth turned up in an amused expression. "Perhaps I do. You don't mind, do you?" Continuing to walk for a few moments, he let his gaze slide over the rest of her before his curiousity prompted him to ask, "Is it very important new you bring then?"
