"I know Sun, and that's why I'm patient with you. I've just been forced to be strong the whole time because my siblings look to me for strength. What they don't know is I cling to the few gifts he gave me when he was alive." Emily smiled and pulled Sunrise close to her.

"Emily..." Sunrise whimpered, acting like one of Emily's little siblings, "I miss my mum, Emily...I haven't talked about her since...since it happened...I really really need her, Emily...I need my dad back too...he's been so different...he's like a little kid Ems, and I...I don't know what to do.... They might take him away from me, then where'll I go?" Sunrise spilled all of the things she had been fearing in a downpour of tears, unable to stop until she was complete with everything she had been full to bursting with the past two years.

"Call down Sun." Emily was a bit taken aback by this sudden outpour of emotions but was used to it because of her siblings. "If you do lose you're dad we can squeeze you in at home. Mabey putting him in a home would be best, and you could visit him all you wanted." Emily did her best to calm the shaken girl. "I miss my dad too, and you just need to remember that your mum will always be in your heart. She is everywhere Sun."

"I know she is, but...sometimes it's just so hard to find her," Sunrise choked out. "I'm just so scared sometimes." She suddenly pulled out of her friend's warm embrace and wiped her eyes with a near ferocious anger with herself.
"I'm sorry...I'm being so stupid...I lost my mom three years ago, and you only lost your dad last summer. I'm being selfish, and I'm sorry."
((It was last summer, right?))

(Now it is. mrgreen I origionally had it the summer before school started but I hadn't specified it on this guild so sure.)
"Sun, don't worry about it." Emily blinked back her own tears. "I'm used to it with the kids." She wouldn't dare say that she felt ready to break as well.
