OK... here's the whole story.
Right after he started staying with me, back in the earlier days of us dating... well... um... there was a reason he was used to hearing himself called God, but that's beside the point so... moving on... redface
I get up on night to go pee, and when I came back to bed (a king sized bed, btw), he'd moved to the middle and sprawled, so there wasn't enough room for me to get in. I tried to shove him over... no good. Tap his foot to wake him up... no good. Call his name.. no good. Call the nickname he was commonly known as... no good. Start the string of pet names "Honey, sweetie, darlin, baby..."... no good. So finally, in frustration, I end up with "Oy! God!" and get a sleepy "Huh?"
His answering only to "God" has happened several times since then. 3nodding
