Her smile softened, and she looked down a little, "I might not be able to do it, but that won't stop me from trying." She said as she looked up to him, "'Can't' and 'won't' aren't words I understand so easily." She smiled as she reached down and took ahold of one of the swords hilts. She jumped back, pulling the blade out of it's sheeth, and stood in a fighting stance. "You're not the only one who's tought me." She said with a smirk.

Shunsui's eyebrows rose for a moment, then he smirked back at her.
"Ah, so I see someone's been teaching you under my nose, has he?" he asked, drawing the longer blade, swishing it in a graceful arch before holding it at his side in one paw. Used to fighting with two blades, unlike other, Shunsui no longer needed to hold either of his blades with two paws and he could fight with his kantana in either paw.

She stood up straight. "Maybe a little." She said as she dropped the sword and scratched the back of her head with her free paw. She then dropped back into the fighting stance. "Juu-san started teaching me when I was recovering from my fall." She said as she kept her eyes fixed on Shunsui. "He tought me many things, and said that I had great potential."

"Did he now? Well then, why don't we find out how well he taught you, hmm?" Shunsui asked, raising his blade into a ready stance.
"Keep in mind, Juu may be a good fighter, but I was always better," he added, boasting. He always did, especially to the ladies. In truth, they were equal fighters when it came to skill. Ukitake, however, lacked the stamina that Shunsui had and so they never fought one another, but at each other's side.

Her smile fadded as she stood ready. Her brething slowed and she calmed her nerves, her muscles relaxing. She focused all her attention on one target. Soon, all of the things Ukitake had tought her came flowing back into her mind. Suddenly, everything around her dissappeaered into darkness except for her target. Nothing else mattered but him. All her attention was on him and nothing else.

Shunsui watched her prepare, just as he had seen Juu prepare when they were younger. He knew what she saw and what she didn't and he liked it. He liked being the center of her mind, even if he was her opponent.
"Come at me, Artemis. Let's see what you've learned," he challenged, his stance relaxed, but inside he was like a wound spring. He'd hold back for her sake, but he'd be ready, nonetheless. Juu didn't hand out compliments willy-nilly.

She slid further down, closer to the ground at his words. She was watching him, seeing his body move as he breathed. She watched the fur on his hands move as the wind softly blew past him. She was watching, and waiting. Ukitake had told her never to take the first move. It would always bring her guard down.
Instead, she watched him, different moves he would likley take went throug her head as her moonlit eyes scanned her target.

Shunsui smiled at her. He noted how she watched him, reading him and he took it in with that same smile. Vain he was not, but who didn't mind a beautiful female studying them with all her attention?
"Juu taught you well, then," he said and dashed slowly at her, katana raised to test her, see what she could do.

Artemis shifted her weight back and brought the Katana up to block his attack, the hilt down at her lower stomah as the blade pointed at an angel at its side to block any attack aimed for her face. She pushed the blade foward with both her paws to meet Shunsui's weight so it wouldn't fall back on her.
"Don't hold back on me." She said softly as she pushed the blade foward and jumped back, landing on one knee, her eyes still fixed on him.

As soon as those words left her mouth, Shunsui was gone. It was as if he teleported or something.
"You don't know what you ask," his voice whispered in her ear. He leaned down and kissed her neck, wasting time for her to turn around.

When he dissappeared, Artemis closed her eyes to listen for him. She smirked when she heard him behind her, "Don't I?" She asked as she spun around and thrust her blade twords him.

Shunsui jumped back, a smile on his maw as he once more dissappeared.
"Think I should start holding back again?" he asked as he once more zipped around her and brought his sword tip up to the back of her neck.

She stood up straight and held her weapon to the side. She smiled, and looked back to him with her eyes, her head dare not move. "But that would take the fun out of it." She said as she dissappeared, running behind him. She jumped high into the air and held the blade high above her head to slash down at him.

Quick as the wind, Shunsui turned and blocked the attack, but his eyes were wide for a moment. For a split second, surprise flashed across his face.
'My god she's wonderful,' he thought to himself as he took up the offense, swinging his blade in an attempt to disarm her.

She grunted as her weapon flew from her hand. She watched it land, and she quickly looked back to him, a scowel on her face as she balled her paw into a fist, and drove it into Shunshi's stomach in an attempt to temporarly 'distract' him to regain her katana.
