.it’s a dangerous game. ]...Envy has no gender, I thought. In both versions. And why does his dub voice bother you? :/ In the anime Envy is male, but it has no gender in the manga. Perhaps some readers of Viz may believe Envy is male since it is refered to as "he", yet this is not so in Japanese since words like "he" and "she" can be completly left out of context. Envy, in the official manga profiles book, is said to be of "unknown gender".

.it’s a dangerous game. ]I know that Envy's genderless in the manga but I think he/she/it is genderless in the anime too. I really don't see how Envy can be a boy when, just as in the anime, Envy can mold him/her/itself to be whatever Envy wants to be. The human form Envy was created from was male, yes, but Envy as a homunculus...I can't see how Envy's male. o.o ...Or maybe it was the one time I skimmed through my friends copy of After School Nightmare 1 and now can't stop thinking that Envy's lacking a little underneath that skirt. :/

Haha... I did think Envy was a woman for the longest time. Now I don't really think of Envy as having a gender. If you must count something, you could say Envy is the combined gender of all those souls it's made up of. xd Are there more male or female souls in there?
