Alley to Between

Xeryim grinned, watching from the shadows gathered in a corner of two buildings as Roxas ran away, in heated pursuit of the fleeing fourth Septsinian. He had been awaiting this day for weeks, it felt like, waiting until the stage had been set for this act, his next task. And oh how he was looking forward to it.

He flicked his fingers, erecting a barrier between Roxas and the other Nobodies, isolating him from his friends even as he settled an illusion on Roxas like a cloak, hiding his body and the sounds he made from any nearby save he and the other Septsinian members. Before he stepped out of the shadows, he concentrated his mind for a split second, altering his appearance. He shrank two or three inches, hair shortening drastically and turning blonde, eyes changing from teal to brilliant blue, chain disappearing even as his clothing changed. He walked over to the corner, working up his breath and tapping his feet to simulate the sound of him running back.

After working up the slightest sweat and a vague shortness of breath, and after waiting a few minutes for Namine’s concern to build and to give Roxas time to get a good distance away, at least in theory, he burst around the corner.

“Namine! Namine, are you okay? They didn’t get you, did they?” He stopped next to her, doubled over for a moment as he tried to ‘catch his breath.’ “Heartless are swarming the courtyard– I came straight back to make sure they hadn’t gotten you. They’re all over the pathways, even on the way back here.” He glanced to the right, looking out of the corner of his eye.

Roxas strained against Sloth and Pride’s hands, screaming soundlessly at them. It almost seemed like his face was bruising from where he’d hit Xeryim’s wall at top speed, but Xeryim attributed it to the dim lighting of the alleyways.

Xeryim flashed the furious ex-Nobody a tiny smile before turning back to Namine. “Namine... I think we should go. It isn’t safe here– we should just find Sora and stick around him. We’ll be safer in numbers.” He drew her up to him, wrapping his arms around her shoulders in a close hug. “Don’t worry. Trust me Namine, I’ll keep you safe.” He settled his head over her shoulder, looking directly at the real Roxas wrestling against One and Two and screaming ineffectively till his throat turned raw.

Xeryim grinned, winking at Roxas and nodding minutely to the other Heartless.

He drew away, looking kindly into her eyes. “What do you say? Let’s find the others.”

((So if this had been anybody else, I would have gotten in trouble like, five times over for godmodding. xDDD))

Xemnas continued down the path till he was going up a bit of hiogher ground. He turned and looked back at the city. He saw the Memmory Skyscraper. He felt like he knew that place but he couldn't put his finger on it. Visions of a fight with someone went through his mind. But the memmory of who it was was absent. There was no face or name to go with the person. Xemnas shrugged it off as probably another one of those things from the shadows he had just fought and walked on.

It seems to be taking forever to get to the Castle, though he knew somehow he was nearly there. He thought back to the flash backs of his powers as he went on forward. Then stopped all of a sudden as one of the abilities hit him. He grinned and raised a hand in front of him and opened a portal. He walked to the portal and paused to take one more look at the Skyscraper then turned and headed through. The portal closed behind him and evaperated like mist into the air.

Front Enterence in the Castle(my headache is preventing me from remembering the name...)

Saix arrived at the castle, looking almost unamused as he saw not only himself there. But then when he recognized the face to be Xemnas...he could have sworn his heart had skipped a beat.

"X-Xemnas? I thought..." He couldn't finish, and suddenly, Dias was ripping himself through his body, struggling for violent control. b*****d!! I'll kill you! He heard Dias shout. His valgar and sudden attitude brought chills down Saix's spine. Dias hated the man...hated Xemnas for sealing him away within Saix's body...within his once empty heart.

Looking towards Xemnas, Saix could feel his hold slipping, but kept his cool as to keep Dias in check a bit longer. "Xemnas...you should know it is not safe here...in your...current condition." He strained. It was clear, even to Xemnas, that Saix was in distress. Within moments, however, Dias had calmed himself and Saix sighed heavily, glad that Dias had given up and realized that Xemnas was not one that remembered what he had and had not done recently.

Xemnas appeared in the castle and sighed in relief when no rain hit him. He looked around and observed the area. Two others stood there talking. One with black hair, striped with white, weraing a black eye patch and a scar on his cheek. The others hair was more crazy and red in color, almost reminded Xemnas of flames the way the mans hair spiked out. He did not know these people and at first they did not react to his presence. Then another portal similar to his own opened and out walked a man who was nearly as tall and slightly more built as himself. The man had long blue hair, and yellow eyes that blazed with fury. Somehow Xemnas did not feel threatened even though that piercing gaze seemed like something that would make the bravest man tremble.

"X-Xemnas? I thought..."

He knows me? "I am sorry but I do not know who you are and yet you seem to know me. How is this?"

"Xemnas...you should know it is not safe here...in your...current condition."

Xemnas shrugged. "I may be void of memmory my blue haired friend, if it is safe to asume that, but I believe I can hold my own if the situation calls for it."

Xemans noticed the man seemed troubled. Was it posible the man held a close friendship to Xemnas afterall? Then the man relaxed and Xemnas gave a confused look.

"X-Xemnas? I thought..."

Xemnas!? No way! Xigbar whirled around and froze when he saw the Superior standing there before them. "Xemnas? H-hey buddy...long time no see."

"Xemnas...you should know it is not safe here...in your...current condition."

Oh that's right, Xemnas has no memmory. But..."How'd you get here?"

Xigbar saw Saix become a little distressed as he spoke those words. What is that all about? Saix calmed again however ans Xigbar waved it off, turning his attention back to his leader.

Alley to Between

The figurative butterflies fluttered in her stomach as she met his gaze and her fingers curled over the fabric of his shirt. A faint flush of heat crept over her face -- the effect of his obvious proximity -- and after pausing a moment in distraction, she finally found her voice: "What about the others?" She stood on tiptoe and attempted to look over his shoulder. "Shouldn't we help them?" Inasmuch as she didn't know these people and was more uncomfortable with them than without, she couldn't find it in herself to just leave them. If what Roxas said was true and the place was covered with heartless, the others who had come with them were in as much danger as they were.

"Roxas..."

Alley to Between

Xeryim frowned, thinking faster and harder than he'd ever thought before to get out of this potential snag. Roxas wasn't the type to flee and leave allies in the lurch any more than Sora was, so what could he say to convince Namine it was in her best interest to follow him?

And then it clicked into his head, a satisfying crunch of gears fitting together perfectly accompanying the revelation. Namine's best interest was at heart.

"It doesn't matter, Namine. They'll be okay, they can hold their own, and I promised I would keep you safe! That's all I care about right now, okay?" He furrowed his brow and frowned slightly, contorting his face into the traditional Roxas Look of Determination.

Before waiting for an answer he drew her up close to him, holding her hand tightly in his and gently kissing her forehead. "I promised I'd keep you safe, and that's the bottom line." He turned to the side with her, casting a momentary glance across the back of her head so she didn't see. He winked, a predetermined code that the task had been completed. Pride stepped away from Roxas immediately, looking thoroughly disgusted as he glared out of the corner of his eye at the human. He wiped his hands carefully on the legs of his pants, trademark sneer on his face.

"We will be going now then," he said, audible to all but Namine, his statement not quite a question but a demand.

Sloth did not move, still clutching Roxas' arm, a pensive frown on his face, as though he wasn't quite sure what he thought of what was going on. Xeryim turned away from them, ignoring the still furious Nobody, and opened a portal of darkness.

"C'mon Namine, we can get to Sora through here and we'll be safe." Without waiting for her to change her mind, he dragged her through the portal, and Pride slipped in behind them, shutting it with only a wisp of smoke to mark its presence.

Alley to Between

This wasn’t happening. It couldn’t be happening! What was going on?

Roxas had run to go help the others, just as he said but some unknown force blocked the passage to Fragment Crossing. It was as if an invisible wall had been placed between the two areas, hindering his progress and trapping him in the alleyway. He rubbed his head, sore from the collision with said wall. But then two pairs of hands took his arms and wound them against his back, holding him in place. Panic took over as Roxas tried to free himself, twisting and pulling in every way he could.

He managed to turn his head just enough to determine who his captors were: Sloth and Pride. Panic was soon replaced with anger as Roxas began to scream. “Sloth!” he yelled to the Heartless, ignoring the other. “Let me go! I thought you were going to help me and Sora get to Riku! Let go! Why are you doing this?”

His question was answered immediately when he glanced back at Namine. Standing with him was… Roxas. But how? He was here!? He was more than positive that there was only one of him, or rather, the Roxas before him was an imposter. But who--…? The answer came to him immediately.

Xeryim.

He said stay close to Namine. Don’t leave her alone. How could he be such an idiot? With Sloth and Pride forgotten, Roxas began yelling at the Heartless Prince. “Xeryim! Get away from Namine! Get over here! Stop it! Stop it! Namine! Don’t trust him! Run away!”

None of his words seemed to reach the two. It was as if they could not see or hear him. Roxas continued to try to break from the two Heartless’ grasp and yelled for Namine only to achieve nothing. They really couldn’t hear him or see him!

Then he grinned. Xeryim grinned at him.

“Xeryim!” Roxas yelled furiously. “You can hear me! What did you do! Get away from Namine!” As if to spite Roxas, Xeryim pulled Namine into a tight embrace and whispered to her. Roxas’ struggle to break free became even more violent and desperate.

Finally, Sloth and Pride released him. With this new freedom, Roxas flew at top speed to Xeryim, summoning both Oathkeeper and Oblivion as he ran. But before he could reach the two, Xeryim opened a portal to the darkness.

Roxas’ heart stopped. It was happening again. Just like with Riku. He was going to take Namine! The ex-Nobody sped up his pace in vain. Both Xeryim and Namine disappeared through the darkness with Pride in tow in mere seconds. The portal dissipated just as Roxas reached the spot.

The boy stood unmoving, staring at the place the portal once stood. Anger began to churn in his blood and his hands shook furiously. “Xeryim, you b*****d…” Roxas growled. How could he let this happen? Namine! What were they going to do to Namine?!

Suddenly remember the final Heartless, Roxas whipped around and charged Sloth with both Keyblades raised. “You were supposed to help us! You liar! You’re still that King’s stooge! How could you let this happen! How…”

Roxas stopped slowed to a stop, all energy leaving him but anger still taking precedence over other emotions.

“What do they want with Namine?”

Within the Castle

"I may be void of memmory my blue haired friend, if it is safe to asume that, but I believe I can hold my own if the situation calls for it."

A bolt of anger struck Saix at the alternate name he was given. Blue-haired friend? What...the hell? He hissed in his mind. Telling himself to control his anger, he sighed and walked over to Xemnas.

"You should wait fighting and get to a safer area...it's not safe here, like I said. You have no memory or weapons." He told him, repeating basically what he had said earlier.

Are you sure you wish to serve this man again, Saix? How do you know that he won't betray you or anything? Dias questioned curiously, obviously clear to Saix that Dias wanted Xemnas out of the picture.

No. Just as much as you love to kill Xemnas before you're sealed away, I know that Xemnas will not betray any of us at this point. Saix hissed in his thoughts. He was really getting sick and tired of hearing Dias trying to convince him to kill someone or control something else.

"You should wait fighting and get to a safer area...it's not safe here, like I said. You have no memory or weapons."

Xemnas grinned. "Memmories I may not have..." He flicked his hands and out came the twin red blades, "But these are sufficient for weapons in my opinion. So don't worry about me, Saix......!?" What the!? The blades dissapeared as Xemnas' hands went to his forehead. That name. How do I know that name.

"Y-your name....is Saix.....I know that....but how? Ahg!" It hit him like a brick to the head. The memmories flooded back. The nobodies, the organization, and all its members. Even the details about how the organization started and their purpose. Or more so his purpose. "K-Kingdom Hearts!" Xemnas looked up and gazed at the destroyed heart shaped moon. "What happened to you?" He did not remember its destruction for some reason.

"Who or what caused this?" He asked more so to Saix though it seemed like it was just an outspoken thought.

Saix was taken aback by Xemnas' pain. Was he remembering something? Running over to Xemnas and holding him steady as he watched his former superior stare at the destroyed moon with what looked like sadness, he slowly explained.

"Xemnas...there is no more Kingdom Hearts. Upon bringing us back with our hearts...it was destroyed. The Heartless are out of control in every world! We're...we're being hunted by the Heartless, Xemnas. We weren't supose to come back..." He told him, looking up as well at the hovering destruction above. "Maybe...I can tell you everything some other time. Right now, we're all in great danger."

Saix could not answer what truely happened to Kingdom Hearts...what they worked so hard on that fell apart under Sora's Keyblade...He remembered dying seeing the moon and its full purity and pale glow sending shivers up and down his spine whenever he was in its light...but not anymore. There was no light to stand under. There was nothing beautiful of the moon any longer. Just a broken object suspended under darkness' heavy hold.

What happened? Why was our plan to live again shattered so easily? What years of planning and growing ever so closer to feeling...only to have it violently shattered under our noses? Saix asked himself, as if even Dias could answer it. As of late, Saix noticed that Dias was not nearly as strong as he was when he was a Nobody...as if all this time whenever he felt something coming from the moon, it was infact what Dias had been feeling. He did say he was from Kingdom Hearts, right? Then...

What are you Dias? Why did you come to me? He suddenly asked, his expression that of pure shock. It took several moments before he could hear Dias' voice echo in his mind. I already told you this. I have no physical body and I was forced to you because you asked of it to protect you. To save you. So I came to you and gave you extra power. Why you, of all the other Nobodies, could never be tamed even by Xemnas himself. He replied simply. Even Dias didn't exactly know what he was...but his bloodlust was part of his insanity of living forever trapped in a body that he could never call his own. Why he always wanted to make Saix's life a living hell! He wanted Saix to give up...so he could live.

Saix said nothing to reply of that. He had nothing to reply to...he looked away from the remains of Kingdom Hearts and looked at Xemnas, who seemed to be rather upset with seeing his life's work gone.

"Xemnas..."

(holy ******** random huge post O_o I do that far too often with Saix XDDD)

"Xemnas...there is no more Kingdom Hearts. Upon bringing us back with our hearts...it was destroyed..."

Xemnas' hand went to his chest. "Our...hearts?" He could feel it. The beating of his own heart. Finnally, at least one objective he had saught for has been achieved. Unfortunately the other will never happen.

"...The Heartless are out of control in every world! We're...we're being hunted by the Heartless, Xemnas. We weren't supose to come back..."

His hand clinched into a fist. He looked up at Saix, a new fire in his eyes. "Then we shall deal with them. They're out of control because they are mindless. They know nothing but to strike the nearest moving thing. Thus they will easily fall at our hands." Xemnas wandered forwards to Saix as he continued, "Everyone who is available I want here. NOW!" He turned and spread his arms. "We run this place, not them. We should not be running. They are nothing but pawns for us to play with." He turned with a grin on his face, the fire in his golden eyes still blazing. "So let's remind them of that."

Xigbar was also taken back by the sudden change in Xemnas.

"Y-your name....is Saix.....I know that....but how? Ahg!"

"Woh! Dude! You remembered his name? Do you remember mine?" Xigbar couldn't believe it. Saix's pressence must have triggered the memories in Xemnas.

"Xemnas...there is no more Kingdom Hearts. Upon bringing us back with our hearts...it was destroyed. The Heartless are out of control in every world! We're...we're being hunted by the Heartless, Xemnas. We weren't supose to come back..."

"Then we shall deal with them. They're out of control because they are mindless. They know nothing but to strike the nearest moving thing. Thus they will easily fall at our hands."

"Um. One problem. The heartless may be out of control...but that doesn't include a specific few of 'em. The Septsinian. A group of heartless that have been giving us hell before you arived. Their power surpasses our own. It would take a hand full of us to even be a challenge against a single member of their group, much less all of 'em."
PostPosted: Mon Nov 20, 2006 6:46 pm

Xigbar's words needed an add on to help convince Xemnas. "I've fought one of them, Xemnas...Everything Xigbar says is fact. Marluxia's Heartless - Greed...He defeated me as if it were child's play. I have scars all over my back because of his sword alone." He told him, trying to convince him that fighting the Heartless how they were was suiside.

"Lust, Larxene's Heartless, is dead already. Which leaves Six of the Seven left. Problem is, they're ranked by power...Lust being Six. By rank from what I took from others who has encountered the others are Gluttony, Lust, Wrath, Envy, Greed, Pride and Sloth...those being the Heartless of Luxord, Larxene, Me, Vexen, Marluxia, Zexion and Demyx...Who would have guessed th at Demyx, of all people, is their leader." He sighed heavily. Dias begun to nag at him. Lemme talk now! He hissed, and reluctantly, Saix let him.

Dias smirked, which changed the mood entirely to randomly seem like Saix was smirking. Only difference was, however, was that Saix's eyes were red, giving Xemnas the hint that it was not Saix.

"Well, well, well...if it isn't the master of the puppets! Remember me? Guess not. After all, you DID lose your memory." He mused, grinning widely. "But you should believe what Saix and the pirate on this one if you wish to value your life. These Heartless arn't a force to be reckened with."
