"Selphie!? Is that you?"
"Yeah, I'm Selphie.......wait, you know me?" Raising an eyebrow, she examined the gunslinger closely. He did look amazingly like the cowboy figure that had played such a prominent role in her dreams. However, the dream man was at best fuzzy and distorted: this man was real. Dang, he's REALLY cute......it would be so awesome if he was someone I knew, like Rinoa and Leon....
"Selphie, it's me, Irvine. We used to hang out together, along with Squa-....Leon and the others."
"Irvine?? I don't remember you......but I know who Leon is!!! Did you hang out with Rinoa too? She's my friend; she helped take care of me when I was...." She stopped mid-sentence, not sure if she should go farther. Would he understand that I was a kid for a while? And how do I know he did know me before......I should just stay quiet from now on....

"Irvine?? I don't remember you......but I know who Leon is!!! Did you hang out with Rinoa too? She's my friend; she helped take care of me when I was...."
Irvine smiled and nodded, ignoring the fact she stopped mid-sentence. HE was so excited, seeing her again. "Yeah, Rinoa too. You, me, Quistis, Rinoa, Leon and Zell all hanged out alot back at the Balamb Garden. Man I miss the old days." Irvine chuckled and scratched the back of his head thinking back to those 'old days' and also the adventures the whole group went through up till they parted ways. "It would be great if we could all get together again sometime. Maybe Leon and Rinoa will have better luck remembering me." And hopefully they may also be able to explain what's been going on lately. He looked back at the others. Cause these guys aren't that great of help. Though I can't blame them, afterall, I am not from around here.

"Oh, I think Leon and Rinoa would remember you!!! They remember everything about their pasts!! I think they're in......Balamb or something.....I'm pretty sure that's where they said they were going. That's supposed to be where we're all from, I guess, but I don't remember."
Turning her head, she could see a group of other, differently-dressed people just ahead. "Hi there!!!" Waving, Selphie ran over and offered her hand in a handshake. "My name is Selphie. I've never been here before? Are you all residents or new people like me?"

Tidus stared at Selphie in disbelief. Why didn't she recognize him? Thinking a bit longer he realized he was actually entirely different from how she could remember him by...
"Hey, Selphie...remember me? It's me, Tidus!" He said with a big smile, hoping she could at least recognize something from him...C'mon, Selphie! Please remember me! Please! He begged helplessly in a futile attempt of trying to ease his sadness of not being remembered by a friend.
"I thought those Heartless had you and Wakka done for back on Destiny Islands! It's been about two years since then...you okay?" He asked, tilting his head to the side. She was so much shorter than him...it felt weird not being the same height as her like they use to as kids.

Baralai stood and watched everything take place. So Tidus and this Irvine character knew this young girl? It sparked intrest in the Yevonite to have someone of their world know someone from another...Let alone these "Destiny Islands" Tidus mentioned.
"Excuse me, pardon my interuption of your reunion but...how did you two meet exactly?" He asked, crossing his arms in thought. Is that where Tidus had been for two years? Elsewhere on another world while Yuna was trying to find him?
Lady Yuna did say he was a dream of the Fayth...Perhaps when he disappeared the he was reborn back into reality as a boy on another world...it makes sense, somehow. He thought curiously.

"Oh really? Yeah that's where you guys are from...and technically me too after what happened. But, how are we going to get there?" That was a question he needed an answer to for some while now.
"Hey, Selphie...remember me? It's me, Tidus!"
"Woh, you know Selphie too?" Irvine was surprised by this. He never met this guy before now and yet he knew Selphie. It had been a while since Irvine had saw her last. It's posible she met this guy and many others in that time. What if she found someone else...so much for my plans.

"Oh really? Yeah that's where you guys are from...and technically me too after what happened. But, how are we going to get there?"
"Oh, you don't have cards?" Reaching into her pockets, she pulled out a set of small cards, each with a name of a place on it. Smiling, she held up the one that said "Balamb." "Here, this one should take us home in a jiffy!! I used another card to get here....and another one to get to 100 Acre Woods. I betcha that it can take us both to Balamb!!"
"Hey, Selphie...remember me? It's me, Tidus!"
"TIDUS!!" Squealing happily, she raced over and hugged the blitzball player. "Holy crap, you're really tall now!! Were you under a curse too?? Is this your real home?? I'm so happy to see you again!!! Hey, do you know Irvine?" She pointed over at the auburn haired gunner, who was looking rather uncomfortable at the scene. "He says that I know him from before I was all cursed and stuff, but I don't remember. Do you know what he's talking about??"

Looking over, Selphie saw that the question was posed by a rather formal young man standing just a few feet away. "Oh, Tidus and I used to live on Destiny Islands. We must have been under a curse or something, that's what Leon and Rinoa think, so we were kids then. Him, me, and this other boy named Wakka were best friends, and we used to hang out with Sora, Riku, and Kairi. Do you know who any of them are?"

Paine stood back from the group and watched the...energetic reunion take place. From what she could gather, the woman who just arrived was friends both the gunman and Tidus....but apparently there seemed to be issues with her memory. Great, she'll probably join our party now.....and she looks nothing like a fighter. Overcome with nausea at the syrupy sweetness of the whole event, she walked away without a word to a small nook where two of the buildings met. Sitting down on the ground in the small space, she tried to clear her mind and focus for the upcoming search for Heartless, but the recent events had already had their say in her mind.
"Then......I believe I've fallen for you."
"I've fallen for you too, Paine."
"I will come see you soon."
With a tightly clenched fist, she smacked the wall next to her, hoping it would get rid of the tears that were welling up in her eyes. Rather, it just acted as a catalyst to what was to be. As tears rolled down her face, she closed her eyes and tried to think. Why am I so affected by this? I never was this way...not with anyone....am I growing soft.....or am I truly in love....
A few minutes of crying later, she stood back up, dried off her face, and walked out towards the rest of the group. "Hey, are we just going to sit here, or are we going to survey the town?"
