My first experiment with that type of shadow background. I told the girl commissioning that cluttered avatars got charged more, but she only ended up paying my minimun asking price... crying Oh well, the shadowing was fun to do, at least.

This one was fun. I actually forgot about the ball and chain completely when I did the lineart, so I had to go back in PSP5 and I just added one in with the shape tool. Drew in a little chain, and vioala! Ball and chain.

This picture has a rant along with it. He paid for a waist up, but I liked his avatar, so I went ahead and did a full body just to be nice. He didn't thank me for the extra art, then he went in MS Paint and mangled it like so. I told him I didn't give him permission to color my art and he got really pissy. So I did a colored version for free. For the price of a waist up lineart he got a full body CG. Then he implied that I had been rude.
I will never draw for him again. stare

Just too cute heart I loved all the bunny slippers whee The little flowers on the pajama bottoms were a blast too. All done in PSP5, of course.

Wow, those are all far too amazing. I really adore them =3 You have an interesting style. I love your lineart and your way of coloring it. Possibly my favorite of all you shown so far is that Naruto Original Character freebie art you did with that girl and Akamaru (the dog) in her shirt. Too priceless!

___ Thanks so much! I've got some more to add too.
This is a Halloween commission I recently did. She entered her avatar in the arena and said she needed and awe inspiring picture to help promote it. So I spent a lot of time on the sketch, and even more time coloring it. I just love her little ghosty. I didn't do any highlights on this one. Lots of shadows, but no highlights. I think it helps make it spookier!

Oh! I don't know how I forgot this one! whee This was just a freebie, but I thought it was cute. I wish he hadn't been wearing that arm thing, it would have been cuter just to have a bear and a kitty. But I guess it gave his avatar an edge, and it was still fun do draw.

The sketch of this was so beautiful, I wish I hadn't inked it... When I inked it, I suddenly became stupid and did something weird with her thumb. It technically should look that way, but it just seems so awkward colored. confused Overall, it was lots of fun to draw and color. It was a pain to shade though... whee

Moving away from commission and into some of my personal stuff... This was just a headshot I did of my original character, Mamoru. I did a sketch and went over it in Illustrator. I don't really do highlights or shadows in Illustrator. I kinda just like the simple vector look.

This was back when I was in my Kingdom Hearts phase. Drew my OC as a mermaid. I don't know why. eek I didn't bother inking the original, so the lines are sketchy. I can't remember if I did this one in PSP5 or Photoshop... I mave gone back and forth, I don't remember... whee

___ A big group shot of me and my friends' original characters. The hight chart is a reference for my art contest, and I had to save the colored version as a .gif for faster downloading. This is definately the most people I've ever drawn in a single picture, even if they are all just standing in a row. Getting them all the right heights and proportions was a blast. whee

Some of my OC's again, in a more huddles group picture. Didn't bother shading or highlighting at the time. It's just another reference for my contest. I might go back and redo it later... 3nodding

This is just a small example of a set of icons I made of my OC Mamoru. I made over 25 different faces for him. I use them on my Greatest Journal.

Wow! Very cute! It's original while at the same time similar to other styles I've seen. So it's similar, but it's got it's own thing going on that makes me like it more. =D In fact, you've inspired me to draw again. *goes to work*
