I have another question about the Lost Children, just to clarify for myself:
Can guardians have been from where the children grew up and followed the children to Gaia or should they be gaians already?

caffinated_tulip I have another question about the Lost Children, just to clarify for myself: Can guardians have been from where the children grew up and followed the children to Gaia or should they be gaians already? They have to be from where the child grew up. Fa'e need someone to anchor themselves to as babies, so if your chosen guardian was in Gaia, and the baby in another world, the baby would fade before ever growing. Edit: Well, technically, they don't have to have been BORN in the world where your baby arrived, they just have to have been there when the baby appeared. They could travel around worlds, if they wanted. But the point is that the fa'e and guardian have to have been together.

kalindara Sorry, Anya wants to start them at teen stage. Slightly less art for her, and more immediately into the game for you guys. I think the point is that you can jump right in with an already developed/matured character. That's fair. But experiences in the previous stages can still be played out through flashbacks, right?

Hi again! xd Okay, so I'd like to do things right. And while recalling some of my favorite Jewish folktales all dealing with the town of Chelm, I can't help but wonder if it skirts a line. I've seen Chelm defined thusly: Quote: Chelm is a real city located in Eastern Poland, but in Jewish folklore it is a mythological village of fools, a type of story sometimes called “noodleheads” in folktale classification. The people of Chelm fail at everything they set out to do. Sometimes they use logical reasoning, but somehow arrive at the wrong answer. At other times, they take a simple problem and try to solve it using a complicated solution that turns out all wrong. The humor of many of these tales lies in the fact that while the actions of the characters appear to be logical, they are really harmless nonsense. The people who live in the mythological Chelm are all stock character types such as a rabbi, a sage, or just a man. [. . .] Chelm tales are characterized by the absence of evil: nothing really bad seems to happen in Chelm and there are no evil people, only foolish ones. (source: http://www.eve-tal.com/JewishFolktales.html ) The problem lies in that Chelm is still a real city, though not as it was portrayed in the numerous Chelm tales told over the centuries. So before I marry myself to a concept, I'd like to check the legality of it. (WHY OH WHY DO I SEEM TO HAVE SOME SORT OF LOVE OF RULE-SKIRTING TALES XDDD)

I don't see a problem with it (since it's a place, not a person), but I'll leave the official decision to Sosi...

I think it'd be okay -- they're two completely different things, right, they just happen to have the same name?
Even if that's not the case, I think that still might be kind of interesting, especially if you went for a "The spirit of Chelm has long since died, and the city is nothing like it used to be in THE GOOD OLD DAYS WHEN WE HAD TO WALK TO SCHOOL THROUGH SNOW UPHILL BOTH WAYS...." angle. Or something. P:

Yesssssss, Chelm of the Chelm stories is different from Chelm today.
And Chelm stories are still made up to this day. :B
But I was thinking of either the town being wiped off the map in a kind of Darwin Award winning move, orrrrrr referencing another Chelm tale where in order to stop a fire in the barn, the villagers tried to put it out with straw. 8D
WILL HAVE TO TWEAK THAT DEATH OF CHELM, THOUGH.

I just claimed the idea of Fat Frumos (The Romainian Version of Prince Charming), I was wondering if it was possible to claim Prince Charming in general (i.e. Prince Charming stories around the world) but keep this as a main mythbase.

I would say not, because "Prince Charming" changes so much depending on what story he's in. Especially if you're going for the Russian version, we'd rather not see a whole heap of other faerie tales in there.
Likely if you won, we wouldn't allow another Prince Charming type. But if we let you take ALL Prince Charmings, then it might interfere with later quests for faerie tale characters who had individual/seperate Prince Charmings.

So, I'm hashing out my Fae's powers. I'm worried about over lap, one of the powers that I want her to have is the ability to disappear. It wouldn't be like being able to fade away, and for quite some time it wouldn't be at will so much as a reflex (it's more like transporting, just poof from one place to another but never over great distances, unless she ended up becoming an ancient, but that's getting a bit ahead of myself)
My quest is a leprechaun, and one of the most well known and important parts of the myth is that if you find a leprechaun you cant take your eyes off of the for a moment, not even to blink, or else they'll be gone. I don't think that this will interfere too much with anyone else's fae, I havent seen anyone that had this power, but I just wanted to double check to make sure that it's okay.
Thanks 3nodding Tulip
