Hey guys I'm Elizabeth but you can call me liz or kitty as most people call me cuz of my obsession w/CATS but volta will do if you feel comfie w/it. I'm 16 and a junior in highschool. I've never been in a musical or play. This is my first year actually doing something related to theater. I've ,and this is sad compared to most of you, only seen 2 musicals...the lion king and CATS....well...there was that russian ballet but meh. I enjoy a lot of andrew lloyd webber shows along with many others. I've seen wicked and parts of fame performed by last years musical theater class and ever since I've been trying to go see it....but my mom doesnt want to ^^;

Lots of interesting nicknames in this thread... Guess I understand it though - I'll stick with Stacie anyday - being called Anastasia makes me feel like I'm in trouble! (Plus it usually incites singing of "Once Upon a December").

Well, I might as well be nice and introduce myself, too.
I'm older than all of you, so I'll take the title of guild granny, thanks. xd
I'm in my final year at uni (and my third course at that).
I've been interested in musicals since I was oh, about 12, I suppose. The first musical I've ever seen was Cats, and I've seen Miss Saigon in its opening season. sweatdrop
I haven't been in a musical production myself, but I've got a strong theatre background.

I'm currently involved in a project to write a musical show with my best friend (and gifted composer). It's all about pirates, and it's going to be awesome, of course.

That's all for now, but feel free to ask me anything. whee

My name is Marion, but you may call me whatever you like - I collect nicknames like others do collect stamps. I'm 19 years old and I live in Austria. From 6 to 10 years of age I was in an experimental school class of music and drama, and later I got some roles in plays that probably no one here has ever heard about. So I'm not a famous actress nor do I think I'll ever be one. But I love acting, and therefore I go for every interesting role, even if it's in a totally unknown play. I don't care whether I will or won't come to be on Broadway. What I'd really dream of: to get a role in a musical one day. I like theatre, but I love musicals even more.
Besides acting and singing I also like surfing the web, doing quizzes, reading, playing the piano (quite bad, but it's for fun *gg*) and lots of other things.

That's all I can think of for the moment. If you've got any questions, feel free to ask wink

Hey. My name is Maura (pronounced m-ORE-uh). I'm 15 years old and am a sophomore in highschool. I've been in 6 shows so far, mostly musicals. Most recently I acted in "The Wizard of Oz" as the cowardly lion. Acting is my passion and I hope to do something with it someday. If my acting career doesn't work out (wich is a distinct possibility), I'd either like to be a dialect coach (accents are fun biggrin ) or a theatre teacher. Aside from acting, I enjoy playing the guitar, drawing, writing comedic scripts/screen plays, and driving golf carts through retirement communities in Florida. My favorite band is Pink Floyd. Nice to meet you all! :: waves ::

Erm...hallo.

My name is Irene. Yes, I'm female. Yes, I'm aware my avatar is male. Yes, I'm also aware my username is from Les Mis.

Um, yerss, anyway, I'm 14 and a freshman in high school. Due to my inherent lack of acting abilities, and also due to the fact that my singing voice is decent at best, I haven't acted since I was in fifth grade. However, I have been a techie for school productions of Once Upon A Mattress, Honk!, and various other musicals and comedies. I love being a techie. It is my passion. If you stopped me on the street and asked me what I want to be when I grow up, I'd say "I want to be a techie in Phantom on Broadway."

I'm madly obsessed with Les Miserables. I've seen it only once, but I own an unabridged English copy of the novel and can recite bits and pieces of it from memory if prompted. I am also madly obsessed with Phantom of the Opera. I am one of those frenzied Raoul/Christine shippers that your mothers warned you about *ducks rotten tomatoes*. I am also fond of Cats.

I like to play the guitar, read, draw, and listen to classical music in my free time. I hate sports - in fact I hate most things that require an excess amount of physical activity. I don't have a life. I am easily amused. Um...yeah. That's about it.

PensivePine
Hi all, I'm Joanna, currently 20, and a Junior in college. I've been into musicals for longer than I can remember (I seem to pinpoint it down to when I turned 12 and got my first CD player for my birthday, but I know I was into them before that). I'm also the one with the infamous "Anime & Broadway" rotating sig, which is currently down for the moment. As soon as the site I got my script from comes back up, I'll get it up and running. Anyway, my tastes definitely run to the obscure shows, although I do know and appreciate most of the classics and mainstream favorites. But the underdog shows will always have a special place in my heart (such as Big, Starmites, Ruthless!, and Starlight Express ^_^).

Pensive, you know Starmites? I never knew anyone who knew that show except me.

Ok, um, my name is Greg, im 15 and a freshman in high school. I live in San Fransisco, one of the best theatre cities in the U.S. 3nodding .(only second to New York) I'm a techie, not an actor, but ive probably worked more shows than most of you(for an almost complete list look at BubbleGumPop's forum). I have an uber-cool part time job at the San Fransisco Performing Arts Center, and i have a summer job being a caretaker for a smaller theatre in downtown. 3nodding Theatre is all i really do, and its what i want to do for a living. its always been part of my life ever since i was about 7. if anyone has any questions about Technical theatre whatsoever, you all can pm me anytime you like. 3nodding

San Fransisco does rock. But second only to New York in regards to theater? What about London's West End? xp
