I chose to do this cause I want to go into Law so I thought that Lady Justice would be fitting. ^_^

He looks down over the city from a nearby ridge. His gaze scans over everything, like he's taking in all the information about everyone and everything in the city. Sadness cloud over his eyes, they don't reflect the moonlight. Some people pass by him on the sidewalk closest to the ridge. They look up and around them, as if they know that someone's there but they don't know exactly where. He sighs deeply, causing himself to become visible to the humans. All at once, all of the lights come on in the city, the radiation from the tall buildings block out the stars and shine down every dark alley. One by one, all the people notice the strange visitor standing still looking over everything. Everything seems to stop and slow down. No cars move, no people move. No animals make a sound, even the thin clouds masking the moon slow down. They all have looked in his eyes. Like many other towns, he realizes, this one is filled with greed and wanting. They all have fell under the spell. They turn against each other, all trying to reach him first. He simply stares, sadly, at the chaos happening before his eyes. There is nothing that can be done now. They have all destroyed each other, just like all the times before. All their souls consumed by the material wealth that was laid out before them, they were all just as heartless and savage as the rest of the animals that have ran at the sight of him. Just the same as it all began, the city lights turn off until not a single one of them is lit. The moon, however, is gone. There is no more light, everything is invisible to the human eye now. Everything forgotten, just like so many times before. He turns, retreating the way he came. Starlight glows out from four long pointed shapes coming from beneath his cape. The brightest stars are at the tips of his ears, sighting out the way for him as he continues to search for the one that greed hasn't consumed. The one that hasn't been swayed by the objects and wealth put in front of them. His hollow eyes stayed open only for the purpose of being. He had seen the city for what it was. Sadness again made his eyes cloudy. This is Darkness.

Since I'm too lazy to write up another more halloweenish story, I'm going to use the one from my profile that I just wrote the other month.
