keladrey I"ve found a pic. how do you post it? Just copy the web adress and paste it into a post. That should be fine. Ill edit it from there to allow the pic to be shown or whatever.

i wish they would remake it but its not gonna happen.they need to but the fact is they wont they will however make alot of spinoffs and all but i totally doubt they will ever remake the original.we can always hope though. ninja

They did do a demo for PS3 to show of possible graphics and looking around i found a petition for it look: FF7 for PS3 petitionIts to remake FF7 for the PS3 and not have it just be the demo.

i rlly hope there is a remake. and i hope its not just for ps3. if it came out on psp that would be amazing. I cant afford a ps3 but i do have a psp. I'd love to have a remake.

Hidosai I love the Square-Enix people at Comic-con. I went there back in 2005 and after talking about stuff for almost two hours with one person of the Square Enix Staff, I asked her a question... "Are they remaking Final Fantasy VII?"...you want to know what she said? She said: "Yes they are. It's going to be twice as long because they are adding more stuff about Sephiroth. Basically his point of view of things, and his past." Also, I read in Game Informer, they talked with the...Director i think it was. I forget his name. They also talked with Tetsuya Nomura(yes, these two people are two different ones) T.N. Said: "We are making no such thing" Where as the other one says: "We're not saying that it's the end. We want it to keep going as long as it can" Somewhere along those lines. So, could it be that they are making one? Possibly. But Square Enix has to pay attention to it's fans and to how much profit they would make if they did release a remake. They have to notice the large amount of petitions going around sometime to realize that.

Here's sumthing u make find interesting:
For many gamers, Final Fantasy VII holds some of the fondest and finest memories of the 20th Century, a tragic love story filled with action magic and racing Chocobos.
Unsurprisingly, after Square Enix showcased a tech demo of the early stages of Final Fantasy VII remade on the PS3 platform, the internet has been saturated with rumours suggesting that the game will be remade in its enirety for the Sony’s new console.
These rumours have recently been upped a notch or ten when American gaming magazine Electronic Gaming Monthly released this comment in their latest issue:
“Last year, Square Enix teased everyone with what was called the “FFVII PS3 demo. Well, what do you know? This test case was really a sneak peek at a next-gen revival of the PS1 role-playing hit.”
However in a rather sour reply to the speculation, Square Enix have released this statement:
“Since the Final Fantasy VII tech demo at E3 2005, there have been a lot of rumours about the presentation hinting at an actual remake. While the June 2006 issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly confirms the remake for release in 2007, Square Enix has never stated this.
We have however confirmed that development has begun for Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII on PlayStation 3. These titles are part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis Project which also includes a mobile game titled Final Fantasy Agito XIII.”
So there you have it - Final Fantasy VII will not be released for PS3… Or will it? If you’re one of the many who would like to see the game remade then don’t be too down heartened. Despite not confirming the rumours Square Enix made no attempt to deny them completely either, so speculation is now rife over whether or not this indicates Square are planning on making the game in the coming years.

There is no remake in production.
Though.. I think it will happen, they are just too tied up with FFXIII. Though the staff members have admitted they would love to work on one, it's the reason they joined the team, and even Nomura admitted he'd like to make one, they are just too short on staff to do a remake as of now.
Though once FFXIII and it's compilation is done, seeing as how there are multipble teams that work on FF games, it may be safe to say that the ones who may work on FFXIV may be the ones who were on the Tactics team [just taking an educated guess] it would free up all the members who would need to be on the supposed remake.
So if this is what happens, then we may very well see a remake, and I think one is bound to eventually happen, just nothing yet has been confirmed.
