"No Rivera... This is between me and Shinku... If I win you leave okay Shinku? If you win, we leave... No pointless bloodshed though..." Kira said. "Alright..." Shinku said quietly. "Rivera.... I want you to wait at the finish line for when I'm done okay? I'm not going to let him ruin anything else today..." He said quietly. He and Shinku then walked to the garage and Kira found his car, which he had shipped to the garage. A black Nissan something or other with silver angel wings on each side. Shinku got into a Mustang GT. They both drove out to the starting line and waited patiently for a start signal. This would be a long drag race that didn't stop at the end of the stretch of open road, but would continue through the city until the school gates, the winner was whoever drove through the gates first.

Kira and Shinku slamed down on their breaks and shifted into first gear simultaneously, screaming past Vesper. The open road had ended at about two minutes but once they were in the city they had to weave through a constant stream of traffic. Left... Right... Left, shift gears... Kira was thinking calmly as he dodged multiple cars whose horns roared everytime he came close to a collision. Shinku was having an easy time with the heavy traffic, weaving effortlessly. He soon shifted right next to the lane Kira was in and bumped the side of Kira's car, trying to send him into a building, Kira pushed back causing them to have to push against each other until their cars steering had stabilized. Kira soon made his own push against shinku, causing him to sandwhich between Kira's car and some passerby's. They continued bumping and shifting lanes and gears until it was only a mile and a half to the school gates. Kira noticed an eighteen wheeler in the lane at the left of Shinku's and made one last push, sending Shinku's into the eighteen wheeler. He felt Shinku's aura still as strong as ever after the impact, but coasted on through the last mile of the race, coming to an easy stop at the school gates.

"Umm... Yeah... I raced a little bit before I started back up in school..." Kira said quietly, scratching the back of his head, actually feeling embarassed. He never thought he was that great, despite the fact he beat most racers when he got in a car. He then looked at Rivera and said quietly. "Alright... Well... We should get to the Springs now... I could use a little relaxation... All the force of being pushed into the seat of your car does nothing to relieve bodily tension..." He said simply and stretched.

Kira drew Tenshi, and felt his pupils begin to grow. He was able to pick out the shooter quickly and easily and fired one shot, seeing it connect and rip through the shooter's head. His pupil shrank back down to normal size and he looked at Rivera. "Listen... I need you to sit in the back seat and cope with a small bit of pain..." He said, moving to his car and bending down to get a small first aid kit out from under his seat. He found a pair of metal tweezers and opened the back seat door, motioning for Rivera to get in.

Kira took Rivera's hand gently in his left, and moved the tweezers up to the open wound with his right. "Now... This will hurt... Just squeeze my hand if it starts to feel like you would rather rip your eyes out..." He said quietly, and gently slid the tweezers into the wound, trying to stay as gentle as he could. He soon heard a small muffled scrape as the tweezers slid on the bullet. He then spread the tweezers slightly, just enough to get around the bullet, then pulled the piece of metal out carefully. He dropped it on the road. He then took a small pad of rubbing alchohol and placed it on Rivera arm, then wrapped her arm afterward.

Kira got into the back seat of the car with Rivera and gently pulled her into a light embrace. "It's not your fault Rivera... It's the fault of the b*****d who shot you, and my fault for not protecting you... As well as using your feathers for Koishi..." He said quietly.

"Well... We should get going anyway..." Kira said quietly. "I guess the hotsprings plan is off?" He asked quietly, pretty sure it wouldn't be good for Rivera's arm.

Shinku didn't even look, but once he noticed something rather strange, a glint of metal up in the skyscrapers of the city the school was in, he aimed from the driver's side window and fired once, causing a body to drop off of the building. He drove by Kira's car and said only a few words, "Don't think I like you... You two are my targets... Anyone who interferes... Dies..." before driving off.

"We both do..." Kira said quietly. "Well... I guess I should go park somewhere then we can go to the springs..." He said simply. He stood up and got into the front seat of the car and started the engine. "Hey... Where'd Ves go?" He asked, noticing the Draclite was nowhere to be found.
