I know this may seem far fetched but the way Kain describes demons on page two reminds me of a few comics I have read called Jthm and I feel sick. Anyone else who has read these sort of see the connection?
Sorry if it seems weird but I like pointing out things/connections like that.
well some of the things he said about demons ive heard from other people.
and ive never read that comic but i would like to now. is it a manga or a normal comic? and jthm is the actual name or does it stand for something?
It's a comic, it's black and white and very inky looking, also violent hence the name Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. It's by the same guy who did Invader Zim, which you may or may not know of or like - it's very different from Jthm though, I personally like his comics considerably more then his show.
It's about a guy who lives alone and is insane, he doesn't like how people have treated him and ends up murdering them (the people) to feed to one of the "demons" in his house and also to get revenge for being treated badly. The more the comic progresses the more real his "demons" become and start thinking their own thoughts and moving, meanwhile sucking the creative energy out of Johnny. Then everything gets really weird but if you want to read it I won't spoil it. It's also kind of a parody of Gothic people and people in general.
I feel Sick is what comes afterward (also in color) it's about a girl who is an artist and a shut-in who dated the main character in Jthm. She runs into the same problem but handles it quite differently, it's also hinted that the "demons" knew her old friend, I enjoy this comic a lot.
Notice it's never mentioned (that I can remember) that the monsters/things are actually demons, but by the description it seems very similar in its own unique way.
If you're interested in finding it I think they sell the whole thing as a graphic novel, ask at a comic store or a large bookstore, or if not you can always find out more (and possibly better) info about it by Googling it.
